We helped this client search for the right property that we could turn into their forever home. The challenge was to bring the best features out of this home that had been remodeled by a previous home flipper who lacked some vision with certain spaces. We opened up some walls, moved some doorways, and rearranged the kitchen to transform this space into a family environment that will be enjoyed for years to come.

As the first year progresses, the plants begin to fill in. Each season, a new group of plants takes center stage as the previous season's stars fade into the background. The 'bones' of the yard keep the design intact.

For more than a decade the owners of this property dreamed of replacing a well-worn trailer, parked by a previous owner onto a forested corner of the site, with a permanent structure that took advantage of breathtaking views across South Park basin. Accompanying a mutual friend nearly as long ago, the architect visited the site as a guest and years later could easily recall the inspiration inherent in the site. Ultimately dream and inspiration met to create this weekend retreat. With a mere 440 square feet planted in the ground, and just 1500 square feet combined across three levels, the design creates indoor and outdoor spaces to frame distant range views and protect inhabitants from the intense Colorado sun and evening chill with minimal impact on its surroundings. As the first new home constructed on Lake of the Isles, Minneapolis in over 50 years, this contemporary custom home stands as the “Gateway” to the historic parkway that encircles the lake. The clean lines and Bauhaus feel bring an architectural style that previously didn’t exist in this truly eclectic neighborhood. Interior spaces and finishes were inspired by local art museums, combining high-end materials into simple forms. At the end of 2012, Danberry came across what was then a rundown home in the Casco Point neighborhood of Orono, in desperate need of some design help. A failed attempt by the previous owner to remodel it as an investment had left it abandoned for years. But when the Danberry’s got a glimpse of this diamond in the rough, they knew it had potential. The project included a completely remodeled kitchen, bathroom, basement and living room.

This is what their deck looked like before! The previous TWO deck builders left too much dirt below the deck, accelerating moulding. Their old deck was cedar and lasted about 8 years each time I believe, which is short.

Our clients found us on Instagram and wanted to discuss creating an outdoor space at their historic colonial home in Wayland. With the house having so much character, the garden needed a boost. We wanted to keep the design period correct and functional. We chose to use reclaimed granite previously salvaged from the streets of Boston. With subtle grade changes, and proper drainage, we were able to create an outdoor room that our clients can enjoy for years to come. A lot of our work is full property renovations, however we love to work on small space designs, this was a fun one! https://youtu.be/w_nugnQYbpw
