Miccaro Designs/Interiors by Michele

Michele of Miccaro Designs was recommended to us by friends and we couldn't be happier! We are still in the process of working with Michele as she guides us through the overwhelming task of choosing finishes related to the rebuild of our apartment after a fire in the building. Michele listens, she understands who we are, and she doesn't push us into anything that she knows doesn't reflect who we are. Yet, for example, she is also very concise and clear about design elements when helping us to decide which tile to choose. She has also equipped us to know what to look for, and what to ask for, when heading out to view tiles etc. on our own. What originally felt overwhelming, at a stressful time in our lives, has become we-can-do with Michele's direction and input. Like our friends, we strongly recommend Michele. As the work is still in process we don't, as yet, have any project photos to share.

We have had the pleasure of working with Michele on a 5100 sq ft home makeover, that was daunting to say the least. Michele was able to break the work down, room by room, giving us sound and expert advice, practical guidance on cost saving ideas, her own set of "tips and tricks", as well as exciting, innovative suggestions, that enhanced our original design plans and got us thinking outside of the box, really making a difference in creating a fantastic and unique look. Michele's patience with our indecisiveness and many questions was very supportive, and this gave us the confidence to move forward with the project. Michele was always on time, well organized, and super friendly! From overwhelmed to overjoyed, we finally finished! Thank you so much Michele, for a fabulous job! Michele of Miccaro Designs is an inspiration and excellent resource to draw on for any interior design project, big or small! We hired Michele to assist us with our North Vancouver condo refresh - more effective use of space and brighter. Our 800 square fit space needed a lift and we wanted to do the sourcing ourselves, and we also wanted to learn from the experience of working with a professional designer. Michele was fantastic! She is a professional with years of experience and the passion that comes from a lifetime of doing something you love. She is generous in her knowledge and resource sharing, timely, flexible and has an impeccable reputation with her suppliers who we used - painters, backsplash, bathroom vanity and IKEA experts. Her process, advice and guidance were tailored to our needs and tastes, and infused with her wisdom and talent. And she’s confident enough to tell when she thinks you need to reconsider an idea or choice and why. We would highly recommend Miccaro Designs!

Michelle helped me coordinate flooring, floor and bathroom wall tiles, backsplash, fireplace tile and confirm my cabinet and quartz selection. I had a good start on my own but really needed a professional opinion with final decision making. Paint selection to come next. I now feel confident my home restoration will look and feel perfect.

I hired Michele to help with a few renovations, some landscape/patio design, and interior design choices for my new home. My experience was extremely positive. She took the time to figure out what would for me, suggesting a range of options that maximized the value I was getting for my budget. She was always positive and understanding, even when I repeatedly changed my mind about what I wanted. She made sure we got it right and I love the final product! Michele is a wonderful person and an absolute pleasure to work with!

We required some design suggestions for our upcoming diy upgrades and Michele provided just that! Her guidance was critical in providing us with a vision & setting us up on the right path.

Michele is one of the most honest, kind, informative and amazingly helpful people I've met! She provided so much care and attention even during the consultation period that I would've happily secured her expertise for a project of any caliber, time and again if my project needed a designer. She spoke in lay terms which was incredibly easy to understand and was very realistic and positive throughout the consultation process. I can't recommend Michele enough!

We worked with Michele on a living room update project. She was personable, down to earth, and offered many useful suggestions for our space that we had not even considered. Michele responded quickly to our request for a consult as we wanted to have our living room complete by Christmas. We began on September 30, 2018, and asked her to work within a $5,000 budget. Michele respected our budget and never tried to promote items that were too costly. In fact, she made suggestions of where we could shop to save money. To begin with, we sent her photos of our living room so that she could come prepared for our first consultation. Prepared she was and skilled at marrying my husband's vision and my own which initially appeared to be very different. Michele was able to identify the "good bones" in our living room, thereby saving us money, and made suggestions that appealed to my husband and me. As we were talking, she googled photos of what type of furniture might suit our new look and later that day, we purchased the chairs and bench that she had suggested. Michele has a great eye for colour and was easily able to sort through the many fabric samples that we had for a couch and loveseat. The two pieces are in our living room now and we love them. Although Michele came to our home only once and only charged us for that one visit, I have emailed and called her on numerous occasions for advice on rugs, lamps and what to do with a too long couch that could not fit through the door. By the way, we did eventually get the couch into the room and Michele was right, there was lots of space for it. I'm glad we took her advice and that my husband and son-in-law persevered. The size of the couch was perfect for our space. As our living room is still a work in progress, I'm sure that I will continue to have many more questions for Michele that she will help me with. I value her opinion and feel that she respects ours. Michele is professional with a depth of knowledge and an eye for design that were instrumental in helping us create our vision.

Michelle was great to work with. She is very open minded and easy to get along with. Her idea's fit great in the area we had to work with. Look forward to working with her again in the future.

Michelle really knows how to communicate with a contractor. She understands their work and was both warm and professional in interacting with mine. That was very helpful. She will also be assertive if services are not provided in a timely manner. That saved me a lot of work. Michelle is very nice to work with, is friendly and has a sense of humour. She also tolerated my frequent messaging with photos, had a good list of resources and saved me from making some costly mistakes. She is an experienced Interior Designer and that shows. I learned a lot from her and will use her again in future. She is reasonably priced as well.

Michele has been a dream to work with - constantly coming up with solutions in a creative and functional way but always mindful of our budget. Her expertise, skill, and talent are simply amazing and I would recommend Michele to anyone starting a project - big or small. Simply stated: her input is invaluable!!!
