Ann Cummings helped us remodel our home's interior. She took an aging, architecturally complex space and upgraded it in every way. We would recommend Ann Cummings without reservation: (1) her taste is impeccable; (2) she's flexible--even when we made a decision contrary to her suggestions, she worked with us to achieve a good outcome; (3) she brought good people in as needed. They did excellent jobs and didn't disappear before a job was finished. We never felt uncomfortable with any contractors Ann chose; (4) she has an eye for what's attractive, but also of good quality. Ann's choice of beautiful, long-lasting upholstery fabrics is a good example; and (5) she can work within a budget. We were very lucky to find Ann!

Ann helped us with a much-needed update to our living spaces. she was helpful, patient and organized and made the daunting project seem much more manageable to us. She is very knowledgeable, has a dependable network of resources and has an unparalleled sense of design which helped guide us through the process. We are so grateful that we found Ann! Because of her help, we were able to complete a major home renovation and addition within our budget and within our timeline, all during COVID, and we truly love every aspect of the end-result. We hired Ann for Interior Design services for a complete kitchen remodel and 400-sq ft home addition, including a new master suite with master bathroom, laundry closet, and multiple new closets, on our 1921 historic landmark-designated Craftsman Bungalow. Before working with Ann, we were feeling completely overwhelmed with selecting finishes and fixtures for this large project (tile, hardware, flooring, paint, lighting, plumbing fixtures, countertops... literally everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink!). Ann was able to take the historic feel of our home and translate it into a homey modern living space. As a couple, we can sometimes have competing ideas of what we want a space to look like, and can fall in love with an idea that may not be right for a space. Time and time again, Ann was able to reel us in and settle disputes in a diplomatic and supportive way that resulted in a beautiful and cohesive home. She was also extremely respectful and conscious of our budget (both line-by-line, and full project budget), and even caught errors in our architect and contractor's plans that would have led to extremely costly delays in our project. Her attention to detail is impeccable. All in all, Ann really transformed our new/old house into a home for our family. I cannot imagine how we would have approached this project without her. We have worked with Ann on three projects in two homes and she has been incredible. Her attention to detail is amazing and she has a gift of being able to marry design with function and usability, which is important given we have two small children. Ann can bring design aesthetic to the table immediately and is cognizant of budget and other restrictions. Her work ethic and spirit of partnership is refreshing.

My wife and I worked with Ann on a remodel of our house. This involved both bathrooms, the Living Room, Dining Room and Master BR. This represents most of the house (we had done the kitchen earlier). Overall, we were thrilled with her work. First and foremost, the designs were tasteful, and of very high quality. We picked her because we really liked the portfolio she had posted to houzz, and we wanted something like that. She didn't disappoint! The quality of the finished product was very good and exceeded expectations! Beyond the finished product itself, other elements of working with Ann were also very good. She was very communicative with us, proactive, and had just the right balance of factoring in our preferences and feedback, but also sticking to her guns as a designer when that made sense. We went into the project thinking that paying for a high quality designer would have a positive impact on the outcome of the product well beyond the incremental cost it adds, and I think that was absolutely right. As you can imagine, for a project of this magnitude we dealt with a lot of different people, companies and contractors which performed at varying levels. Of the entire group, it was Ann, our designer, who was the best! In the future, for any design work we need, we will definitely call Ann! I also have absolutely no reservations recommending her to a close friend that is looking for someone to bring strong design to a remodel project.

I thought this would be an easy project but selecting the best shade of gray and best matching fabric for cornices proved to be quite difficult. Ann brought numerous color chips and material swatches for me to consider. She spent quite a bit of time to get the color and fabric just right and to bring this project together into a beautiful design. I love it. The project was a great way to freshen a kitchen without changing major pieces or breaking the bank.

My wife and I are very pleases with Ann's work. She is timely and thorough. It seemed like she was thinking about our project 24/7. One time she called to tell us she had run across some chairs that would be perfect for our dining area. We bought the chairs. We would recommend her to anyone.

Ann has done a wonderful job with creating a design that utilized existing and new furnishings and that matches our lifestyle.

Ann Cummings helped me with a living room/dining room makeover. She was referred to me by a friend who was very satisfied with her work. She incorporated some of my existing pieces in the design which was important to me. I think she has a special eye for choosing the right colors. Ann is very easy to work with. She doesn’t pressure you at all but does encourage if she feels something would make a significant improvement. She stays in close contact and is always very easy to reach. I would feel confident recommending Ann for your interior design projects.
