I have used Apex construction for many rehab projects in our home over the years. These projects ranged from smaller jobs...like making a stove fit and retrimming the area to replacing a two story picture window...to a master bathroom total remodel. I would NEVER have anyone else in my house to do any project. Here is why...from the first meeting to discuss what I am looking for ...my budget ..and options and a time frame...Every question is answered and answered accurately. I am given suggestions ,optional plans, given different price structures and help with reputable places to go and look at for ideas and products. There is never a limit to the the questions you can ask before or during a project and your calls and questions are returned in a very timely matter each and everytime from beginning to end. Projects are accurately given time frames and cost...and everytime they are accurate...Most of all all workers to my house are professional ,friendly, and their work from plumbers to electricians to construction workers to painters have all done meticulous work. Rich himself is onsite daily and all work done by himself or his staff must pass a 100 percent perfection standard. My bathroom came in almost to the penny on cost and was featured in a magazine. If you want a small project done to a large remodel you need a professional company you can trust but more importantly to do absolute beautiful work! 5 stars every time....call apex!!!

Most recently, they were our choice for the construction of our custom dream home. We have had Apex Builders for a myriad of projects over many years: two bathrooms, a sunporch, roofing issues, general decorating and new windows. Apex Builders did an excellent job on 3 projects for us: an extensive first floor main living room area, an outside dormer reconstruction, and a 500 foot wrap-around sun porch addition. Rich VanHamm is the ultimate professional, always around supervising the subcontractors, communicating with us and overseeing the projects. Apex always met deadlines and stayed within budget. Apex Builders came to our rescue in March, 2008 to help design and create a renovation to a home we had just moved to in the Illinois Valley. The renovation was completed in May, 2008. Our new home has two floors; a main floor and a lower level each approximately 1700 square feet. We are a senior couple not retired at that time but one of us is retired now. It seemed to make our house the perfect home for us was to design the main level for our major daily living. All of the design was a very cooperative effort with great ideas exchanged and implemented. Two huge bathrooms were converted to one with a large walk-in, door-less shower and a very large closet/dressing room for both of us off the master bedroom. Doorways were changed and make for a very stunning open-concept kitchen, dining and living room. Rich Van Ham has made himself available for many additional fix-it projects that we are not able to do, e.g., drainpipes, downspouts, wall repair in the lower level, post hole digging and cementing posts into the ground. We appreciate Rich and Apex Builders everyday that we live in our home.

Rich and his APEX team put two additions on our house and remodeled a good portion of the interior. The kitchen was expanded, a full bath was added, and some interior remodeling was included. The work is very high quality and we have had ZERO problems. Virtually everyone who visits our house loves the design and the workmanship.
