I have built from the ground up before as well as doing a number of total renovations on my homes. But…when I built from the ground up with True North Builders, I experienced something that I had never experienced before: fun from start to finish! It’s true. Cody North brought great ideas to the table. But never did ego get in the way at all. He understood my vision and his perfectionism was an incredible bonus. I love living in my home and feel very lucky that I found True North.

Cody was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I felt we were co-creating our home with Cody. He listened and advised. He had great insight and we were joking the whole time as to when he asked us something we would respond "WWCD" What Would Cody Do? The time that we were building was exceedingly challenging due to supply chain issues AND covid - but he communicated. That is very important.

True North Builders built a beautiful, well designed home with an outstanding floorpan for me. I am very impressed with the build quality, it is excellent. Cody was very easy to work with, completed everything on schedule, and has been very responsive, helpful & attentive to any issues that have come up afterwards.It was a fantastic experience with an excellent builder!

We had an outstanding experience with Cody and his team at True North Builders. Our lot provided a number of challenges requiring careful design to achieve our needs and to comply with strict guidelines in the historic district. Cody has an excellent design sense, and between the three of us we designed the house. Construction lasted about 15 months and Cody kept us informed every step of the way, especially in the time before we moved to Santa Fe. As construction progressed we both saw opportunities to enhance the project as the space got built out and Cody was open to making modest changes that didn't impact schedule or historic guidelines. After we moved in, Cody was diligent in taking care of any issues that emerged, and after nearly 2 years in the house we are delighted with the outcome.

True North Builders has recently build our new home. We highly recommend the company, having gone through the process over the last year. Cody North is a highly professional contractor. He has been responsive to our requests for changes, with a positive, can-do attitude. From the architect's design, the products used, the workers employed, and high quality construction, our new home has exceeded our expectations.

We've lived in our home a little over a year now. It is extremely well built and energy efficient. The design is well thought out and very easy to live in. Cody North pays careful attention to even the smallest details and takes pride in his workmanship. The very few items that needed to be corrected were done swiftly and competently. My wife and I purchased an adobe home in a 7 unit condo development built by True North. The workmanship is excellent, and all of the few small problems that have surfaced in the past year have been addressed promptly and personally by Cody. Integrity is the quality that underpins all business dealings I have had with True North. Negotiations are straight-forward with the goal being a win-win situation. Nothing hidden; no manipulation. Agreements about cost, timeliness, and workmanship are kept without question. Regarding workmanship, I consider BOTH design and execution of the agreed-upon product to be very important. Cody and his True North Builders team were a pleasure to work with throughout our complete renovation of a beautiful old adobe casita in the historic east side of Santa Fe. Cody had his own vision for the property and, importantly, understood our vision as well. The workmanship was top-notch, the project was within budget, and on-schedule. The end result was a beautiful old casita that retained the historic charm but was updated for today's living. Cody understands how to deal with the historic district review process and he promises to follow through on specific items even after closing. Bottom line--the house is a gem!

We purchased a fully remodeled, historic adobe from True North Builders in 2014. The home had been torn down to the original adobe structure when we first looked at the property. We had, however, seen the quality of work that True North Builders had put into the historic adobes on Alma del Cañon and Palace Road. We trusted Cody North’s vision and “eye for detail” on our home. We were also drawn to TNB’s green, energy saving specifications and the fact that every available space was utilized for efficiency. We have been thoroughly satisfied with the finished product. We love our new “old” home and have had a very positive experience with TNB and living in Santa Fe. -The Smiths
