Julie worked with us on a complete remodel of an older home we purchased. She designed the interior layout and provided excellent recommendations for materials and overall interior design concept. As we have a construction background we completed that part of the project ourselves. I would highly recommend Julie to anyone looking for beautiful and unique interior design; unfortunately due to budget constraints we couldn't use her for the entire project but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone. Julie provided an accurate estimate for her services and we met all the deadlines she promised. Thanks Julie!

I was honoured to collaborate with Julie of Creative Shift Studio, on a major feature/ project which happened to be featured in a variety of online & print sources. Through the process of collaboration, I quickly learned that Julie's capability to structure time efficiently (on a tight timeline), maximize resources (on a limited budget), and manage a multitude of sources (with multiple trades involved), that she was someone I could easily work with now & in the future! Her strict attention to detail, while warm and inviting personality, also immediately drew me to her! I had the opportunity to meet and work with Julie after she came recommended through a network of my associates. The project was a complete make over to the entry lobby of the 1974 concrete condominium I happen to live in. This was no small task as Julie was walking into a cage with the fiercest beast in all of "renovation-land"... the notorious 'Design-by-Committee'. Julie was without exception, professional, dependable, articulate, flush with design acumen, diplomatic with problem solving skills - but most of all she was patient. Not only did Julie face presentation to a strata council but one which included an architect, a (fussy)designer* plus the occasional interjected voice from other owners in the building. All that and a parsimonious budget too! Julie remained cooperative throughout an impossible amount of hedging, council meeting discussions and delays. The final results were tasteful, sympathetic to the bones and period of the architecture, highly appreciated and the endeavor a success thanks in large degree to the efforts and execution by Julie/Creative Shift Studio. After achieving the first assignment so well Julie was contracted again by the Qu'Appelle and its strata council to format the 11 floor common hall restorations in continuity to the lobby. The Interior Design Show West (IDSwest) team had the pleasure of working with Julie Miller as the lead curator and designer of Prototype, our feature installation and exhibit at IDSwest 2014. Julie designed and coordinated the booth space space as well as the display of the featured designs. This space was the entrance booth at the show and was a highlight for all attendees to the show. Julie worked to design a space that created an experience for attendees to the show and created an impactful first impression. The space was designed so attendees could move through the exhibit and experience each design. Julie was the perfect ambassador for the show in a number of interviews about the show and we were proud to have her representing IDSwest. All of the participating designers and our international jury panel enjoyed working with Julie and spoke very highly of her and the whole design process. Thank you Julie for investing so much time and energy in promoting great design on the west coast!

Working with Julie was easy and fun. She was helpful over email and was always able to communicate swiftly and efficiently.
