We hired Designer Builders for a major home renovation and addition at the recommendation of our Architect, Nathan Smith of Part Studio in Louisville. They had worked together on past projects, and they worked together with much of the planning of ours. Our home needed a lot of work. We added to the kitchen, added a master bath, moved a half bath, added insulation and air sealing, hardwood flooring, new siding and a new roof. They coordinated a very large and complex job very well. Stefan and his crew were great to work with. They were courteous and professional. We were always glad to have them around! Very high quality work!

Stefan and his crew were a delight to work with! I hired them to repair water damage in 2 areas of my house, and to renovate a bathroom. The hiring decision was made after seeing a job they did renovating the upper floor of a friend's house. They did a beautiful job, communicated well, and stayed on schedule. The Designer Builders team is one of the most professional dedicated group we have had the experience to work with. When we purchased our home five yrs ago we knew it was going to require a huge kitchen, great room and basement renovation. We also wanted the twenty yr "dated" look and feel updated as well. I have used Designer Builders for two major projects, both lasting approximately 8 weeks each. The first project, a bathroom remodel, was almost two years ago. This remodel consisted of gutting a previous bathroom, rebuilding the bathroom, and moving a wall. The second project was just completed and consisted of an outdoor room, stone fireplace, stone steps, stone foundation on the house, and a new driveway. Both projects exceeded our expectations in every way. Every employee at this company was knowledgeable, hardworking, trustworthy, and professional. They worked in an orderly and neat manor, minimizing the disruption of living among ongoing projects. They arrived on time every single day and did exactly what they said they would do. There were no delays or lulls with the work. The projects were completed on time, and they were within our agreed upon budget. The quality of work performed by this company is exceptional. I highly recommend them.

Designer Builders did an excellent job renovating our basement. They had exemplary workmanship and professionalism--and brought an element of creativity to envisioning how the space could be transformed. The project was on budget and on time. I could not have been happier with the work that Designer Builders did on my home between September 2012 and January 2013, which included a full kitchen remodel, vaulting some ceilings, and installing 3 skylights. The end product I received was better than I dreamed it could have been. Their whole team is very professional and I got along with them very well. They were always on time and communicated things to me regularly throughout the process, always asking for my input on decisions but also giving their opinions when asked, as well. I actually missed having them in the house working after they were done!!!

Designer Builders is a small company centred in Louisville, KY and is headed up by Stefan Rumancik and he is carrying on in his father's footsteps. He is very likable young man, and he and his crew do excellent work. He was initially referred to me from a best friend and Stefan had added an environmentally conscious sun room to my friend's mother's older home. We hired Stefan to do a variety of tasks, large and small, including a new roof, new doors, updating an old bathroom, and other small repair items. All of these were completed on time, and i feel like they were done with a high quality of workmanship. Stefan is very up to date with all the latest environmentally friendly construction techniques and materials. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, honest and fair. He and his crew are very sensitive to privacy and respecting the individual's particular quirks. Designer Builders are a very forward-thinking company, but have the timeless value of doing a good and thorough job. Great group of professionals to work with. They stayed within our budget and the deadline for completion. Very knowledgeable, they listened to any concerns we had and answered our questions patiently. We'll definitely call them for future remodels.
