Doug was highly recommended by an industry veteran who works with him frequently. We felt he was very easy to work with at the first meeting. We provided a few photos and thoughts and honestly he nailed the design at the first pass. We made only a couple modifications and the inside turned out stunning. Doug had designed a few home additions and separate Studio Offices in our local neighborhood and we heard that his results were very good. We decided to hire his firm to design a Studio Office Addition for our home. From the beginning, Doug was very professional, prompt with his deliverables and extremely dedicated to meeting our needs. When we ran into permit issues and zoning challenges, he devised creative ways to meet local codes at a significant savings to the project. He personally visited the permit office and used his experience to help us comply without without an excessive amount of hassle or delay to the project. His design fees were very reasonable and a fair exchange of value for the drawings that were created. Doug provided a wonderful design for our single family home remodel. He listened closely to us and did not have an aesthetic agenda. We receive compliments on our front of home frequently. His pricing is fair and he works efficiently. Our kitchen and great room are particularly well designed. He missed some small room configuration details such as the depth required for our washer/dryer,and some conflicting room entry doors with closet doors, but those were minor items in the grand scheme. Highly recommend Doug for those that have a firm vision of what they want in their home.

Doug did our extensive remodel which included a master wing several bathrooms , kitchen and family rooms. He was delightful to work with. Very professional.. He has a great expertise and a timeless sensibility. I recommend him highly . He is fair, calm and very thorough in his work. I have seen numerous jobs Doug has done and think they are all top of the line.

Doug remodeled and re-built our Cape Cod style house in Lafayette, and did a fabulous job. His design was true to the original style of the house, and yet made a reality of our vision to update and enhance the original. The kitchen was featured on the Lafayette kitchen tour. His detail work is extraordinary. I have heard of design professionals who are difficult to work with, but Doug is the opposite. He was very patient with us, and coordinated well with everyone else on the job (interior designer, contractor, subs). He is very efficient, which means that his fees were extremely reasonable. All the above is why a number of the most elegant homes in Lafayette were done by Doug.
