Elaine of Elaine Morrison Interiors designed and supervised our kitchen and outdoor patio remodel. We were impressed by Elaine’s genuine regard for our family’s lifestyle and personality. With an eye towards function, esthetics and entertaining; Elaine enthusiastically explained her vision of what a “Traditional Remodel” would look like. Elaine prepared scaled renderings of the proposed project as well as detailed timelines and cost projections. The contractors recommended by Elaine were professional, courteous, and talented craftsmen. Because of Elaine’s ever-present supervision, the project was seamless and the final outcome is eye-popping. Shopping with Elaine was truly an adventure. She took us to design centers and hardware stores. We visited stone fabricators and upholstery shops. We shopped for everything from delicate fabrics in Beverly Hills to stone slabs at granite yards in the San Fernando Valley. We saw every kind of stone, tile and backsplash imaginable. Wherever we went, everyone seemed to know and respect Elaine for her expertise and professionalism. We could clearly see why. The centerpiece of our remodel was the kitchen island. Elaine was able to reconfigure and expanded the island on the original footprint creating a huge amount of storage and a very large serving area. The cabinets designed by Elaine featured pull-out drawers and swing out shelves for easy access. Elaine’s cabinet maker used the highest quality hardware including pulls for all the drawers, doors, and for the wood paneled refrigerator. Elaine found a magnificent quartzite slab for the island and countertops. Next, the vent over stove was replaced by a very large and impressive stainless-steel hood. We decided on a Wolf oven, steam convection oven, countertop stove and a built-in microwave oven as well as a wine cooler. We also purchased the Sub-Zero side by side refrigerator and a Cove dishwasher. Elaine found fabulous lighting fixtures to accentuate the island and glass cabinets. Exquisite window treatments tied the family room and kitchen together. Elaine had the entertainment center in the family room updated and stained to coordinate with the kitchen. The existing travertine floors were stripped and resealed. Elaine recommended that we reupholster our existing customized furniture that were originally designed to fit the unusual geometry of the room. Elaine's imaginative vision transformed our simple barbecue into complete outdoor kitchen which featured a refrigerator, stainless-steel pull-out drawer and a sink. The Dekton countertop beautifully complimented the indoor kitchen. Elaine beautifully married design with function. Although she is high energy, Elaine has always been sensitive to our concerns, anxieties and expenses. Watching the project come to fruition has been tremendously exciting. We are grateful to Elaine for her patients, guidance and friendship.

My wife and I bought a cozy single story home on the Island of Westlake Village. We had to start from scratch in decorating our new home. We met Elaine around the beginning of the year and she transformed our house. It was a contemporary design but one which kept the coastal vibe and brought in a warmth of its own. We shopped with Elaine and she did a great job interfacing with many vendors and designers along the way. She kept within the budget we had discussed and was very professional at every turn. I can’t recommend her enough. The real proof is when we had a designer friend of my wife come to our house recently. She marveled at how beautiful it all came together. That was the best complement of all.

I knew that planning to remodel a kitchen could be daunting, especially a large kitchen like ours. After meeting Elaine and reviewing her extensive portfolio I knew I would be in good hands. Elaine has a great sense of design. In addition, her knowledge and understanding of the electrical and plumbing requirements she incorporated into her renderings made it very easy for my contractor's tradespeople to prepare for my new cabinets and appliances. I like the choices she suggested for my cabinetry and her functional layout that met my needs as I love to cook and bake for my family. She kept on top of the kitchen build as it progressed making sure it met our vision. We are extremely happy with our new kitchen. Let me tell you about my new friend, Elaine Morrison. I was referred to her by a friend for a very large remodel of my master bath, a second bath and my master bedroom. Elaine performed beyond my wildest expectations, the job is turning out so beautiful! Not only does Elaine have tremendously good taste, her knowledge of construction is superb! She actually had to set my contractor straight time and time again! Best of all, Elaine and I became great friends. Elaine is an amazing professional and a delight to work with. She has remodeled the house with beautiful and striking touches. The house looks spectacular and she came through exactly as she originally stated. Remodeling a home during Covid is a magic trick that few can pull off. Elaine performed incredibly! Elaine Morrison is one of the most energetic, positive persons I've ever met. These characteristics carry through her professional design work. She can easily accommodate traditional to contemporary styles and points in between (such as transitional contemporary). She excels at presenting choices without overwhelming you with alternatives. In addition to her technical skills, she absolutely loves to shop, shop, shop! She will work with you to incorporate existing pieces in your new design, though I recommend going with her suggestions rather than hanging on to the old, when possible. Elaine's specialties are kitchen/bath remodels; she can of course tackle any room. Our project was large (interior and exterior), taking 7 months from the start of construction to completion; there were as always some "hiccups," but we are quite satisfied with the final result!

Elaine is not only wonderful to work with, but her attention to detail is terrific. She takes the time to sit with you and make sure her design matches your lifestyle. Right down to the Keurig capsule drawer! Her vast experience allows her to offer suggestions and options galore to make sure you not only have beautiful design, but works with your needs and desires! We can't wait to work with her on our next project!

I have worked with Elaine on my home and she was so fabulous to work with. She is reasonable, so helpful and has the best taste no matter what style you are into. Her personality is wonderful and she is charming to work with. She recommends decor and buildables that can really make a difference in the aesthetics and livability of your home. Elaine is a joy to work with and wonderfully talented. Our project was a whole house remodel following severe water damage and Elaine took me through the steps in remodeling a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house completely for which there was little time for preparation. She never let me nor the general contractor falter and stayed within budget. She was responsible for the project meeting deadlines required by the insurance company. We opened our house over the holidays to friends and neighbors and the reviews were fantastic. We love our "new" house and give Elaine the highest praise with no reservations.

Having just moved to LA and buying a 3 bedroom condo that needed to be redecorated, I needed help. Elaine has been delightful to work with. The condo was originally Mediterranean and I wanted to make it more contemporary. Elaine has been willing to work within our budget and she let me prioritize which projects to do immediately and which to put off for the future. I want to especially commend the people she works with for carpentry, drapery, and painting, and I am about to meet the electrician she works with--all of them being of the highest caliber. I also wanted to add that Elaine is able to be a mediator of sorts and to come up with solutions when my husband and I have different ideas about decorating. We have managed to make a Mediterranean-style condo much more contemporary and I look forward to continuing to work with Elaine to do the future projects on our list.

Elaine Morrison has worked on two interior projects for me. My first home was a 5 bedroom 4 bathroom home, mediterranean style. Elaine interacted with the architect and the contractor from the beginning to the end of the project, flawlessly incorporating modern key elements into the relaxed, warm atmosphere of my home. My second home remodel is a 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom townhouse. The entire home was gutted and Elaine suggested a contemporary style. I wasn't sure at first since I often see contemporary styles as cold. Elaine showed me how to incorporate warm elements through color, texture and visual dividers. Elaine created a balanced, open , airy, luxurious and warm feel that turned my house into the home I now call my nest. It is a place where I can truly relax and rejuvenate.
