My husband and I worked with Joanne for cabinet knobs. One might think this would be an easy task, but we were terribly ignorant and confused. Joanne was a tremendous help as we weeded through the styles, designs, and colors. We were at the end of a remodel, and completely exhausted from making too many decisions. Joanne made the process, fun and easy. The expert eye, her skill in assisting us narrow our choices, getting quick samples, and following up when things arrived made the experience top notch. We wished we had sought out Hudson Street and Joanne months earlier! Thank you, thank you!

We purchased a Marvin sliding door from HSD Healdsburg and had it installed by HSD’s recommended contractor. We had multiple issues with the door during the one-year warranty period for which HSD nor Marvin would take responsibility. It was when the door finally stopped sliding that we were told it had not been installed properly. We hired our own contractor to uninstall and reinstall the door and it is finally working. It was never clearly explained to us that HSD would not stand behind our purchase if we used its recommended contractor. While HSD might stand behind its vendors, contractors and subcontractors, we did not get the same support as a direct-sale customer.

I am a remodeling contractor who has interacted with Hudson Street Design for many years. I purchase doors, windows, lumber, etc. I choose Hudson for their ability to find the right products, and for the precision of the specifications for being appropriate for the job reducing the possibility of returns or callbacks. Hudson Street offers periodic contractor seminars about installation techniques, product tips, etc. They are usually during lunch time and includes a lunch making attendance more workable for contractors.

When it came to building my own home I went to Hudson Street Design, and I was incredibly impressed with the quality of products and staff assistance. As a contractor, I was pleased when they opened another showroom in Marin. With a variety of products on display and a knowledgeable and friendly staff, my clients can become informed and understand the products they are choosing. We had a wonderful experience with Hudson Street Design and with our sales rep Jeff Van Horne. We needed to replace a couple windows and doors and heard about Hudson Street Design through a friend. We are thrilled to have a company like Hudson Street Design (HSD) here in San Rafael - we love referring them, working with them and especially love that there is a 'one-stop shop' right down the road. They are like a design center where everything you need is under one roof and it's very convenient. So many of our clients don't want to have to run from place to place to place to select what they want, they know what they want and it's a pain to have to place one order for tile at one location and another for plumbing fixtures at another. With HSD, they have all the brands and all the items you need. We've worked with their designers Debbi Peterson and Ann Roberts on many different projects now and love collaborating with them both - they are talented and can see you through an entire project, or just draw-up plans, and we are especially grateful that we can send clients to them for that, because it's hard to find someone who can let their ego go, and just draw the plans and let the homeowner make all the design decisions...and everything in between! We would recommend them highly and look forward to continuing our great professional relationship with them.

My company was contracted to paint a 100-year old house in Corte Madera. As with many houses of this age there were problems requiring repairs, some design changes and window and door replacements. A referral to Paul Barkley led in short order to a referral to Debbi, an Architect at Hudson Street Design, who provided design and color consultation services. A visit to Hudson Street's showroom resulted in a beautiful new front door and several windows. Thanks to Hudson Street, what could have been a drawn out, lengthy and stressful process was actually an example of how quickly and efficiently a project can come together with a positive outcome. I can't say enough about the Hudson Street showroom, the products and the professionals working there.

HSD has provided Marin with a much needed resource.
