We used Irby Homes for a master bedroom and bathroom remodel, which included moving plumbing, walls, etc. They were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Ben was an excellent communicator and was always available to answer any questions we had. His team was extremely hard working, kind, and professional. They showed up on time and stayed late if needed to make sure the project stayed on time. I am so impressed with the quality of their work. I will only use Irby Homes for any future renovation needs.

We were VERY happy with the work Irby Homes did on our bathroom! Before it was simply a mess and was barely a functional bathroom, and looked like it was from 1962. Now it looks like a spa! Irby Homes renovated our bathroom. The results look great and the cost was very reasonable. Some of the materials we ordered got delayed, but the builder was flexible and understanding. All the workers were courteous and respectful. They even helped us to replace our HVAC system when it broke down in the middle of the project!

Irby Homes did an entire refresh of the exterior of our home and we are incredibly pleased and impressed with their work. They added new siding, new trim, and new gutters, completed wood repair on damaged soffits and trim, and repainted the full exterior of brick and siding -- and it looks incredible! We feel like we have an entirely new home. Irby Homes was also a great partner throughout the full process of quotes, construction, and touchups. We felt informed and listened to, and they were happy to work with us to adjust some elements of the original design as my wife and I saw things that we wanted to change. Irby Homes earned our trust and they will be the first company we reach out to for any future work on our home. They have our highest recommendation.

I feel very lucky to have found Irby Homes LLC! My first project with them just completed. My home office (where I spend the vast majority of my time) went from being the worst room in the house to being the very best! Ben and Jen worked together to help me with both the design and layout as well as the decor and colors. Jen even went the extra mile to have a special piece of art framed which Ben hung for me at the close of the project. I anticipate doing more work with Irby Homes with my master bath as the next area to tackle. The men who did the build outs and the construction, with Elias as the lead, were always professional and on time. It was a pleasure to have this team working in my home. We had Irby homes finish out our basement. Specifically studding out and finishing one unfinished space to create a gym, building out a fireplace bump out w/ an electric fire, and building a bar. We are thrilled with the results. Ben listened to our requirements carefully, made helpful suggestions and gave us the basement we were dreaming of, all at a competitive price. Irby homes did a tremendous job in our kitchen. They stayed on schedule and completed each task with precision and care. Ben and the team he had worked hard and i'm in love with the transformation. They showed up when they said they would, came back to check their work and were open to answering questions and problem solving as the need arose. At the beginning the place looked dated and worn, but with a thorough paint job, some small plumbing tasks and new floors it looks brand new, clean and fresh. It's incredible.

I had an excellent experience with Ben Irby from Irby Homes LLC. Ben developed reasonable estimates for the work to be done and stayed true to those estimates. He met with me to review the project and answered all my questions. During the project we stayed in contact regularly and he always got back to me in 24 hours when I needed to reach him. The person he used to do the tile work did a beautiful job. I had a couple minor concerns with the painting but the problems were corrected as soon as I made Ben aware of them. I am very happy with the results. This was my first home improvement project of this size - three bathrooms totally redone and I am very happy that I chose Irby Homes!

buying a home in historic Annapolis can be a daunting process. We started with a well know contractor that ended in disaster. I live out of town, so I needed someone I could trust. Ben is communicative and living far away, he sent pictures of the ongoing process. He answered my texts immediately. Ben is organized. His invoices were clear and there were no surprises. It was an absolutely delightful experience working with him. He had all of the work done in a timely manner. We had extensive renovations done and everything looks beautiful. When it was time for a punch list, there wasn't much on it! He's the BEST!!!

We hired Irby Homes after seeing the master bath remodeling project completed at a neighbor's home, and at their recommendation. It was very similar to what we wanted. The estimate was very accurate, and about 35% less than that of another contractor a year earlier. We went over the initial budget due to a change in what we wanted, and Ben clearly and continuously informed us of the cost and other impacts to the remodeling effort, offering excellent advice when needed. The entire Irby team was professional, courteous, and efficient in their specific work areas - tile work was excellent, plumbing was upgraded and functions great, toilet and vanity & countertop installed perfectly, and the drywall and paint work are also excellent. We had delays because I ordered items late, and the team was accommodating and picked up the job as soon as items were available, and also aided in choosing items with recommendations. We are enjoying the finished product and would certainly hire Irby Homes again in the future.

Ben Irby was a savior for my husband and me. We had planned to have a half to full bath renovation done by another company, who bailed on us at the last minute. We had planned to start this project at the end of September beginning of Oct, and we found ourselves with no one. After interviewing another contractor, who gave us a bid twice the price of Ben's that we could not afford, we found Ben. Ben was knowledgeable, accommodating to the fact that we wanted the work done as soon as possible, and timely. Ben's crew was there daily until the project was done, about 3 weeks. The bathroom turned out better than we could have hoped for. Our home was built in the 1960s, and had old plumbing and non-standard measurements for the shower door. Ben had connections with local companies and was able to help us secure supplies that would fit within the bathroom. We could not be happier about how the project turned out, and will gladly use Ben in the future for other home improvements. Thanks a lot Ben!

We are thrilled with our new space! Irby Homes created a finished basement in our home with high craftsmanship. The basement was once an eye sore in our house and is now our favorite room to be in. Our biggest fears going into this project were cost and how long do we have to live with construction mess. We had a new half bath constructed in the basement level of our home. From the first meeting it was obvious to us that Ben took his work seriously. We discussed our plans, Ben took some time to measure the space and then indicated he would get back to us with some designs and an estimate. When he did come back with that information we were completely impressed with the detail provided in the estimate, right down to the hardware that would be used. It was very well thought out and detailed and we were pleased with the proposal. Once we notified Irby Homes that we were ready to move forward, we were put on the calendar and work began fairly quickly. The entire process was smooth and painless. Ben checked in frequently and met the crew here each day. He was communicative and very easy to work with. From day one until the last day, we felt that we were up to date on what was happening and what to expect next. Ben did a great job on the myriad projects I needed completed to get my house ready to sell. He listened to what I wanted, understood my budget, and offered solutions that addressed both. He and his team worked on projects including fixing a number of holes in drywall, completely redoing the sink and closet area of the master bath, lots of trim work including windows, doors and baseboard trim, had fabricated and installed an inside stairway railing, installed a number of closet and room doors, installed three toilets, extended the laundry area to accommodate newer washers/dryers, and more. I have hired Ben Irby to do a number of renovations on my newly purchased, 50 year old house. I was amazed with the quality of his work and expanse of his knowledge. His team was very professional, showed up when scheduled, and cleaned everything up every day (if I didn't noticed what they had done, it would have been hard to tell anyone was there). He has done a variety of work for me to include; electrical, plumbing, demolition, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
