Julia Wakely Interiors

Julia was wonderful to work with. She came in and generously offered an amazing array of great suggestions to add warmth and character to our home. She has a great eye for design and I love how she sources things second hand when possible to save her clients money and add charm and interest to one's home. Julia is fun, creative, enthusiastic and able to quickly determine an individual's style preferences. We got so much done in such a short amount of time, and I would definitely work with her again,

Thank you Julia Wakely. You could not have been more professional and thoughtful in guiding us through the design and installation of various spaces, including our mudroom, new additions with multiple built-ins, as well as making existing spaces beautiful, welcoming and functional. Our home now has a cohesive feel with complimentary paint colours and furniture. We appreciate that not every piece you suggested had to be designer and your savvy being resourceful! We are also appreciative of your responsiveness and interest in addressing hiccups as they occurred throughout the way, as well as you having competent trades up your sleeve! We look forward to working with you on the next installation, the office! Lisa, Bob, and the four M’s.

We have enjoyed the pleasure of working with Julia Wakely on two occasions. The first time Julia did a complete refresh of a 10 year old Abstract built home for us in Oak Bay. This involved adding all new furniture and updating the entire interior & exterior of the home to give it a fresh clean, cozy look. The attached photos are from that job. Julia also furnished & supervised minor updates we made to a brand new Penthouse in Rockland, Victoria. On both occasions Julia was highly professional, extraordinarily organized, demonstrated excellent taste in choosing furniture, paint colours & all materials. Julia communicates well & is careful to develop a clear understanding of her clients needs before moving forward. We are extremely pleased with the work Julia did for us and recommend her without hesitation to anyone contemplating a serious interior upgrade to their home.

Julia has helped us completely remodel two bathrooms as well us update our kitchen, front hall and bedroom. We could not be more delighted with her work. Not only is she professional, flexible and fantastic to work with, but she really took the time at the outset to get to know our personal style and needs. She is incredibly responsive, willing to work within any budget and to make adjustments as needed. I would recommend her without hesitation!

Julia was fabulous to work with! She quickly got a sense of us and our lifestyle/taste and we love everything!! The colours, design and layout of the rooms are just perfect. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat.

Julia is amazing. She is attentive and a joy to work with. She has a variety of skilled and professional trade contacts to get any aspect of interior design or redesign completed with the highest quality. I recommend her every chance I get.

Julia is so lovely to work with. She gives really defined recommendations and pivots quickly if it not something I’m in to. She gives customized advice and helps prioritize what is most important. We have hired her now on two homes. The first was for an exterior facelift. She helped with the entire colour scheme and also added in extras I didn’t think of like lights and a updated address sign. The home needed some serious love and now it’s beautiful. The second home was our residence and she helped us personalize our home to suit *us*. She had some amazing ideas which we are in the process of putting together. Hire Julia. She is fantastic.

We hired Julia to help us with paint colors, furniture selection, and room layout when we bought a house earlier this year. Julia did all of this and more. We didn't want to do a full reno and Julia really helped us select colors, window treatments, lighting, rugs, furniture, etc to absolutely transform our house. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and Julia was wonderful to work with throughout - very responsive and she really listened to our ideas. She also connected us to a number of services - electrician, contractor, painters, etc. I wouldn't want take on another house project without her advice!

We hired Julia to help us choose paint colours for our new build and we got paint colours and so much more! We were on a tight budget, which Julia was great at keeping to. We absolutely love the colours she picked out and all of the additional suggestions she gave us were incredibly useful (rugs, lighting, furniture placement, etc). We learned from her how to be more creative and bold with our choices. Her choices have really helped our house feel like a home. Our only regret is not bringing her in earlier in the project!

Are you looking for a designer who listens to you and who wants your home to reflect your style and preferences? Then Julia is an excellent choice. She worked efficiently with me to create plans for me to implement in the various areas of my home. This included fabric, furniture, paint and DIY ideas as well as ways to use my existing pieces in creative ways. I now have the comfortable and inviting space that I have always dreamed of and look forward to dealing with Julia on future projects.

Julia delivers prompt, attentive service while taking your preferences and budget into account. She encourages you to go beyond your "comfort zone" while respecting your personal choices. She is incredibly responsive to queries and is truly interested in the end result.

We highly recommend Julia as an interior designer. She transformed several rooms in our house into beautiful and functional spaces. She was attentive to the needs of our busy family and was able to create functional spaces for our children while also creating beautiful, relaxing adult spaces. We are proud to show off our home and are greatful for Julia's expertise. Thank you Julia!
