I am so lucky to have found Kat when searching for a professional photographer to shoot two Lake Tahoe area projects. She was easy to work with and very communicative, but the pièces de ré·sis·tance is that her work is simply stunning. She captured the essence of both projects with her sensitivity and eye. She also is very open to art direction from her clients. One of our projects was featured in Dwell online which is very exciting. I would definitely work with her again.

I have worked with Kat Alves on a total of 9 interior/exterior photo shoots since 2012. I have found the quality of her photography to be unmatched by any other interior/architectural photo professionals, and she is a pure delight to work with. Kat is one of the best architectural photographers I have worked with. Her education and experience in interior design gives her a unique insight into techniques required to capture the nuances of interior spaces. Working predominantly with natural light, Kat knows how to reveal the true color, depth and texture of a space with great clarity and accuracy, avoiding the over produced images and false colors of others. Her simple approach to photography and focused compositions makes her one of the best interior photographers in the region, consistently producing beautiful, honest images.

Being someone that pays special attention to detail and super picky myself, I was thrilled to get a chance to work with Kat on a few projects of some interior spaces, that I designed. Kat took AMAZING pictures that have a unique appeal of their own, very soft and engaging. I enjoyed that she was so very easy to work with. Kat made the spaces look even more incredible, capturing the intimacy through a photo, many cannot. I hope to get the chance to work with Kat again very soon.

Kat has been working with High Camp Home for the past year as our photographer and it has been the best experience our company has ever had! As Kat has an Interior Design background she is able to see the details and to understand how to capture space in a way that I have not experienced with anyone else. It is amazing working with Kat. She has a great eye and can edit the pictures so they can capture the sense of space, light, and materials. During the process she takes many test shots and reviews what is included within the frame. She will assess the light in various rooms during the day and return to past shots to capture it in a different manner. After taking the pictures, she spends hours editing the selected images to make them as best as they can be. Her photos really do elevate the design of the project.

Kat Alves is a joy to work with, she has a great eye for how best to capture interior space, and a gift for drawing out the best architectural elements of a building. Her background in design informs her photography and allows for a shared language when working on photographing a project. She is extremely professional and produces in a timely manner.
