I moved into a new build home and wanted to create a space that would feel like a sanctuary and truly "me". I found Karen via Houzz and am thrilled with the outcome of our work together. She listened to my goals regarding how I wanted to feel in my space and used some great tools to uncover what that meant from a design perspective. She is very creative and several times I felt stretched to make decisions that truly made a statement in the design. The mural wallpaper, paint colors, light fixtures, wall hangings and furniture recommendations all elevated the space to more than I could ever have imagined on my own. Karen has a great team of painters, electricians, installers and other craftspeople who all did excellent work. She is also very communicative and uses great tools to help you see the design unfold and keep everything scheduled and progressing. I feel lucky to have met Karen and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a creative interior designer.

Karen takes the struggles and difficulties away. She is a color specialist so can help you figure out color schemes that aren't too trendy or dated. She's a drapery specialist so if you are going to be doing drapery, you want somebody that knows how to do it correctly. It can become a quick nightmare if you go with a novice. It's an easy decision to use Karen for interior design assistance.

I cannot express my gratitude enough. I had no idea what I was undertaking. All I knew was that my house was in need of a total makeover. It would never have been possible without a designer's assistance, and I made the right decision involving Karen and Ice Interior Design. Karen and team at ICE made the daunting experience of redoing our main bathroom super easy and exciting. Karen was able to give me the mostly art deco look bathroom of my dreams while keeping it mainstream enough to not worry about selling down the road. It's perfect. The back shower tile was something I really wanted but was expensive. Karen found a way to incorporate the same tile but in a section. It makes even more of an impact this way. I love it!

We've always dreamt of working with a designer for our home, but never had the courage until we found Karen (Ice Interior Design team). From the first time we met with Karen, I knew she was the person to work with. Karen helped us with updating downstairs (kitchen, living room, master bath, dining) as a designer and as project manager. What we appreciate about Karen is her INTEGRITY in addition to her design talents. She was always so prompt and available to answer any questions I had (no matter how big or small). I feel she has our best interest at heart and is so genuine. We were so happy with downstairs results that we decided to do upstairs update with Karen as phase 2; and will continue to work with her on any other future home projects. I have been working with Erin on a complete remodel for a house I purchased. She can do it all! From drawing up plans which included changing the configuration of the kitchen, master bath, & office, to selecting fixtures, flooring, countertops, furniture, etc. All along the way she shared what she was doing via great presentations. Karen and Erin were fantastic from beginning to end, and the results were amazing! I used them for everything, from concept/design to picking fixtures/colors/designs to working with/managing the contractor. They made the process quite simple and personable. I was looking for a decorator to help remodel my kitchen, guest bathroom, and do a general update of the house (light fixtures, ceiling fans, painting). There was a dizzying number of people to choose from, but I ended up going with ICE because I felt (1) they could do the spectrum of design choices - high end where needed/desired and routine where needed/desired, (2) they had a great portfolio of work and would treat my project with the same perspective and eye, no matter how small or large, or how routine compared to their other projects. They indeed matched my expectations and then more! They suggested some things I would not have come up with on my own and it all ended up looking fantastic. The only down side is that they did such a great job I'm going to need them again for my master bath later on!

I worked with Erin and Karen on a home remodel, focusing on an extended Kitchen, a new Main Suite (bed, bath and closet) interior paint, floors and exterior paint. Erin brought a vision to life and delivered so much more than I expected. I didn’t know what to expect as this was the first time I've been through this process but I got everything & so much more. Erin nailed my style, Erin's passion for my home was so touching. Karen & Erin felt like friends throughout this process - I couldn’t be happier… I’m basking in all the samples & drawings and the design plan folder. I'm doing a lot of the work myself with my carpenter boyfriend. He feels confident with the deliverables we have to make it happen. We’re pumped.

We hired Ice Interior Design to help us with an extensive master bathroom remodel. Rob made us a beautiful and thorough design plan that showed us every important detail. Once construction started, he worked with the contractor to make sure all questions were answered ahead of time. This was our first remodel, so we really wanted to make sure the design would stand the test of time. It is beautiful and fully fits our personalities while being exceptionally functional. OMG, where do i begin... I moved to TX from CO and had no contacts here. I found Karen after much on-line research (so i know how important real reviews are). I thought that my needs were pretty specific...help with some interior remodeling and new furniture. First the Remodel - Karen's relationships with contractors and vendors is amazing. I loved every single person she put me in contact with. She was quick to tell me where it might be to my financial advantage to work directly with a vendor, and where i might make best use of her involvement. Now for the Interior Design - Holy Cow. Her process is unique, and my needs fell smack in the middle of the COVID situation. I had to put my full faith and trust in her process, which was a bit scary... but I will tell you that hands-down, it was the best, most stress free and effective interior design process i've ever had (and i've done a few houses prior to this one). I absolutely love the results of her efforts...the furniture, the design plan, the decor, everything! And even more than that, i loved the way she took the time to understand me and how she worked with me. Her team is amazing. I couldn't be more pleased. So, my advise is to trust her process...she has a great eye, she is truly able to understand her clients taste and desires, and she knows the products. Not one thing she suggested was wrong. I am a happy happy client.

I hired Karen at a low point when we were building our house. I was so confused by all the decisions that needed to be made and all the choices I had. Karen met with me, immediately understood my style and demands, and set about to organize the whole process for me. It was THE BEST decision I have ever made. Karen kept track of everything, was readily available by phone or email when I had questions, and took the stress out of the whole thing. She has been easy to work with, very respectful and patient. We loved working with Karen on decorating our brand new home! My husband and I were moving from a two bedroom apartment into a larger house, so basically needed help with decorating every single room (plus the outdoor patio) and needed nearly all new furniture and decor. Karen met with us and really got a sense of our taste and style. She presented multiple options for us to choose from for each room, but also gave us the flexibility for the few items we wanted to choose on our own. She even worked with a local artist to secure a piece we had seen at an art exhibit, which was incredibly helpful (she was able to get us a discounted rate on the piece as well!) She was a joy to work with and always available to answer questions. She even sent us a sweet housewarming gift for our pup which was so thoughtful. I highly recommend working with Karen--she's got an incredible eye for design and will make your home not only look beautiful, but feel like you. Karen was such a delight to work with and very budget sensible. She helped us pick out the most amazing bedroom mirror, contemporary lamps, gave us paint ideas and worked tirelessly to find the right coffee tables. In the end, we had to return the tables because the stone color didn't match between the end and coffee tables (common issue with stone). Karen, immediately fixed the issue and was very understanding. What I liked best about Karen is her professionalism and organization. She's very timely with her communication which is a crucial part of the process. Thanks again Karen!

She stayed on the side of designer. Even when each of us gave in to the other she keep us on track with the design style. I’m totally a natural person. We highly recommend Karen for interior design services! She is a talented and professional true designer with the education and experience to recommend the right colors and materials for our home. She helped us redecorate several rooms in our house by taking an existing traditional space and transforming it into a transitional space that met our style perfectly. We were impressed that she really listened to our preferences and came up with creative, yet practical options. Best of all, the design project was on time and on budget. In fact, because of her vendor relationships, we saved money by using Karen than if we would have purchased the furniture and design items ourselves. I simply stink at visualizing something that doesn't exist and get mired in the many options for paint, rugs, accessories, etc. She understood quickly our taste and our budget and presented several options that were a perfect fit. She is crazy good at her craft, professional, responsive, and great to work with. Her portfolio of before and after shots is a page turner; her work is beautiful. I can't wait to use her for every room in my house!!!

Karen was our decorating angel when we downsized from a large 2 story house to our "new" 1 story bungalow. She was amazing at placing the furniture (we had way too much) and using most of our cherished knick knacks into the new space without it looking stuffed and outdated. She helped me with color selections and materials as we renovated the kitchen and put in new carpet and hardwood floors. The most amazing task was organizing my husband's man cave and leisure area. She is always pleasant and patient while being professional and capable. We were very happy with her work.

We bought a house that needed total renovation and Karen was focused in helping us decide where to start with our limited budget. She provided great ideas on how to utilize the space, picked the interior paint colors in consultation, we consulted with her on all the flooring and bathroom materials and she helped us pick what we love within our budget. Also, I appreciate her creative solution when some mirrors we had ordered personally did not look the same as pictured and we could not return, but now I love them. We love walking into our house everyday and we've gotten many compliments on it.

Where do I start!......exactly the way I felt when I moved into my new home and NOTHING worked! Karen was referred to me, and upon our first meeting, knew this would work! I've worked with designers in business and found most of them to be abrasive, controlling and quite frankly, flighty. Karen was a complete joy! Her approach was a fabulous breath of fresh air with her first figuring out my expectation and style, then a real working budget...then the truly fun stuff of pulling it all together! She's flexible with a complete lack of ego, which leads to the ultimately end...a home that truly reflects your own style. I can not say enough about how well everything went. Brains and business with a flare! My house came out beautiful and the compliments are never ending. The biggest compliment I really took to heart was when a friend walked in and said "Oh my gosh, this looks EXACTLY like you!". At the end of the day, it was! Thank you Karen for paying attention!

I work with Karen professionally and personally. I (Shutter Guy Austin) supply window coverings for some of her clients and Karen always makes a stressful time be stress-less. Karen takes on all of the issues herself so the homeowner doesn't to deal with the issues inherent in a medium to large remodel. So, if you are wanting to remodel your home, it's now time to call Karen. If you want to do the remodel yourself, but don't know where to begin, it's time to call Karen. Karen can put together a remodel plan for you that will guide you through what you need to buy, when you need to buy it, what contractors to hire, their contact information, finished project renderings. Karen can do all of this for you and then you take the plan from there. Or if you are like me, let Karen do the entire management of the remodel and let Karen do the heavy lifting. I can't say enough good things about Karen.
