Threat job! Installed lighting all the way around the house plus oversized the transformer for future work. Also had lighting installed in the concrete and it looks like it was part of the original pour.

We’ve worked with Darryl Cook and his team at Landscape Lighting Guru (LLG) for many years, and have always found them easy to work with and their work to be absolutely top notch. Darryl has great design sense, and they focus on balancing pleasing lighting design with care for the trees - for example, they check our tree-mounted lights annually and adjust the attachments as needed to avoid any tree damage. They’ve put up beautifully arrayed bistro lights over the patio, and maintain our large fountain. Our house sits back a bit from the street, and they helped us with wall-mounted lighted street numbers. And every Christmas we have Darryl’s team light our live oak trees - they arrive when they say they will, do an incredible job, and many of our neighbors have moved to working with LLG as well!

Darryl has taken care of our electrical, security, lighting, landscape lighting for probably more than 25 years. He’s has completed jobs at our home, at our son’s home and our daughter’s home with security lighting installed, kitchen lighting installed, and outdoor lighting installed he does an excellent job always has. His crew are also excellent. They clean up after themselves. They wear booties when they come in the front door to protect the floor. We just had them as a matter of fact, install a brand new ceiling fan for us to replace an old one with a 19 foot ceiling in our home. I have never seen anything quite like Landscape Lighting Guru (LLG) building practices in my 34 years of building. We hired owner Daryl from LLG to install $52,000.00 worth of lake side lighting in Wimberley, Texas. While digging the tree holes the next day we uncovered that the electrical wire was improperly installed 1 inch below the surface. I called Daryl up and asked why his men would have done that given we had previously agreed to a 6 inch depth? He said they probably just missed it and would be out in a couple of weeks to correct it, which sounded reasonable. A few days later we found 5 more plant hole locations where the wire was at 1/2-1 inch below the surface. Now, I truly was beginning to understand this was no mistake, this was planned, measured and quickly covered up in order to cut corners and get out fast. In any event, the owner Daryl agreed to have his guys return the following week and rent a trencher and allow me the opportunity to inspect the work in order to verify it was dug correctly at 6 inches, which sounded good to me and might restore my trust in his services. Later that day after they restarted, Daryl texted to me that they were ready to have me reinspect. If you can believe this, I came out and the trenches had already been covered with dirt, without giving me the opportunity as previously agreed to (Daryl said he video taped the work instead)! A bit of a strong argument with John their foreman (I told him that shortcuts were unacceptable and this was seriously sh-t work) and a more detailed inspection revealed they missed/omitted trenching over 300 linear ft of other lines around the lake. At this point I was incredulous, running around inspecting like a chicken without a head. I told John the foreman to redig everything up all over again and then repair the lines he had missed and allow me to inspect their work, which he begrudgingly agreed to redo. Later, their trencher accidentally cut my main electrical lines, even though I had previously walked the area with John the foreman and pointed out all electrical line locations. Get this, the next day they restarted, repaired the electrical damage and I got a text from John the foreman at 1:23 PM saying to come out and re-inspect. I returned 1 hour later from errands and to my horror, they once more recovered the trenches without allowing me the opportunity to inspect and verify depth for the third time! When I asked John the forman why he didn't do what we had previously agreed to, John the foreman said, "call my boss, he didn't want to wait for you". They abandoned the job, didn't clean up and didn't finish the work...

Can't say enough good things about working with these guys. They are awesome. On time, friendly, affordable, custom lighting that is energy efficient and looks amazing!
