Lightology

We purchased a chandelier from Lightology and it arrived damaged. We understand that accidents can happen during shipping. We are very happy and grateful for the post-sale support provided to resolve the issue. We would definitely purchase from Lightology again.

Absolutely awful. Bought a Minka fan, wasn't big enough for the space. Asked for a return label about 3 days after receiving the fan. It has now been 2 weeks and can't get them to EMAIL ME A LABEL. They go on about the manufacturer, but THEY ARE who we bought from, not the manufacturer. Horrible customer service once they HAVE YOUR MONEY. I WAS a returning customer as well! NEVER AGAIN. You can find the same fans elsewhere for sure, I've seen them, and wish I hadn't gone back. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

My first experience with Lightology has been less than stellar. I ordered something online and haven’t received any updates 5 days later. I tried to get updates online but i got a message saying that the order couldn’t be found (i paid and received a receipt btw.) I finally called the company and no customer service rep could find my order and they kept me on hold for a very long time. I finally hung up while on hold and the rep never called me back. I sent an email to customer service and never received any response. I would not recommend ordering anything from this company. Horrible service. Inept reps. No follow up or follow through.

We bought a chandelier in October 2024 from the Lightology website. Unfortunately due to delayed construction on our renovation project we weren't able to hang it until March 2025. While reading the instructions on hanging the chandelier it became clear that the Chandelier height is 61.5" instead of the 54.75" as advertised on the Lightology website. The main body of the chandelier is 54.75" but you have to add a 4" rod and 2.75" canopy to that to get the total minimum height of the chandelier. Unfortunately the chandelier will not fit in our space at 61.5" I contacted Lightology to see if there was any way we could shorten the chandelier which we discovered was not possible. I tried to return the chandelier since the height would not work for us and they refused to take back the chandelier since it's past their 60 day return policy. I explained that their website has the wrong dimensions on it but they still refuse to take it back. They insist their dimensions are correct at 54.75" even though that does not include the needed 4" rod and 2.75" canopy. I understand we are past their 60 day return policy window but I feel this company should make an exception since their website has erroneous height information which caused us to order the chandelier even though it would not fit in our space. We would not have ordered it if it had the correct height in their dimensions. I have been going back and forth with them since March trying to see if we could shorten it or return it. Their customer service is terrible! I would very much like them to own their error on their website and do the right thing by allowing us to return the chandelier for a full refund.

We purchased a chandelier from Lightology that cost over $4000. When the electrician went to put it up, he said the driver was defective. It has been over 2 weeks and the company is yet to send a replacement. They are impossible to get through to. You have to communicate via email. One would think that if you’re buying such an expensive product, they would expedite a replacement driver.

The team is always very responsive and helpful. I will be purchasing from them again based on customer service alone.

The chat option was great. I didn't have to wait at all for someone to hop on and the person, Kelly F., was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. 5 stars on customer service!

Outstanding service from Kelly H from the online chat services. Extremely helpful - Thank you for providing good old fashioned customer service at a time that its is hard to come by!

Super helpful transaction! Got me the information I needed quickly. Kind. Efficient. Super appreciate the quick and helpful response to my inquiry.

Kelly F on Chat was polite and quick. Now if I get my quote from your sales team, that will be even better.

Kelly F is great as so many of my questions are answered on the spot. Lightology has a nice selection of light fixtures with most recent technology in lighting . Thank you! Sandra M

Non responsive customer service. They sell products they do not have in stock and no lead time available locking in your payment info without any notice they to not have the product

We have purchased several items from Lightology and all of our experiences have been excellent. Staff are friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Service is excellent and pricing is competitive! Lightology is our go-to agent for all our lighting needs. During my most recent purchase, I worked with Chelle VanWassenhove who was both responsive and efficient. Quality customer service is alive and well at Lightology!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We’ve purchased several light fixtures, one order didn’t arrive. After waiting for over a month I gave lightology a call and found out that it has been delivered few weeks earlier, so it’s too late for me to make a claim! I asked for a proof of delivery, it took them few days to email me back, and delivery address was wrong! I pointed that out and still waiting for their answer. Be aware, their customer service is terrible, they give their customers 72 hours for returns or claims form the day it was delivered, but they don’t let you know about that when you place an order! Very disappointing, I will never buy from them again.

Great help in chat. They help develop solutions to complex lighting challenges. Thanks very much for the timely response.

Shannan was amazing! Service above and beyond. Friendly and helpful. I had the info I need, I felt Shannan really cared about my problem.

Shannan P. was very helpful with answering all my question with several light fixtures! :) I would like to have her help me next time as well.

Great research on the product I needed and offered to get back to me after reaching out to the vendor.

I had a great experience here. Particulary with consultant Chelle. Very knowledgeable and made sure everything went smoothly with my purchase. She went out of her way to make sure everything was OK with my order. The store has a wonderful showroom, and the website is very comprehensive. I will always check out Lightology when I have lighting needs.

Shannon P was super helpful, quick, and responsive. I needed information on multiple sconces. She makes the shopping experience easy... 5+ stars! :)

The Chat option with Shannon P was very helpful to me for sizing of lighting on my different size vanities. Thank you!

shannan was responsive and helpful. not only assisted with the project details but also account services. and explained a few of the finer specifications to a relative newbie.

I highly recommend Lightology. They have a great selection of brands and styles. In addition, they provide excellent customer service and support!

Wonderful experience with the customer representative! explained everything in detail and gave additional options for what I was looking for. Very patient with my additional questions. Very satisficed with my experience

Fast, Kind, thorough. Knew the technical details and was able to suggest options, offered follow up research and future contact.

Worked with Shannan from the online Chat support team - as our Sconce did not have installation instructions. Shannan immediately sent us the instructions to install our sconce lighting. The support was very helpful, professional, and really quick Thank you!

Shannan was great! Very speedy, very friendly, definitely an asset for your company! I was struggling very much, but I got a very prompt answer!

Kelly!!!! Knows so much about lighting. The kind of things that I wouldn't have come close to guessing. Knowledge about aesthetics and the technical side. Amazing.

Great Job, Very Responsive. Great Customer Service, my issue was sorted out in no time flat. Keep up the the good work.

great selection and offerings. Just what I was needing for our more modern project. Will use again in the future.

Most excellent customer service! Discovered we needed a replacement after finally opening a box we received months ago. We sent a picture of the issue and were promptly sent a replacement with no hassle.

Audrey was great and helpful. They were able to answer all of my questions regarding tax exempt status. Thanks again.

Quick and very easy to work with - thank you very much for help on solving the back order issue.

Audrey S. was able to answer my question about a fixture's available voltage very quickly. Love the live chat option.

Excellent Customer Service. Very helpful to research out of stock items and contact the manufacture for lead time and availability. Thank You

This is with regard to my Order #: 874146. I ordered four light fixtures and one of them arrived damaged. They have no customer service number to call and the only process they have is to submit a damage report and to wait up to 3 business days for a response. Well, I'm on business day 4 and still no response. They have an online chat function and I've chatted daily with 3 different customer service representatives. They all tell me that they will send an email to the folks who handle the damaged items. But I'm still waiting. Most other reputable companies enable you to simply print out a return label to facilitate the return of damaged items. Lightology doesn't do that, so here I am waiting for someone to get back to me in order to initiate a return and a replacement light fixture. This is very poor customer service and I regret having purchased these four light fixtures from Lightology. I checked around and these fixtures are available from other reputable companies like Bed Bath and Beyond and Home Depot.

I am excited to receive my light that I ordered. It was back ordered but is now on its' way. Customer Service has been very helpful and I understand that there are shipping delays due to COVID, etc.. Customer Service is easy to reach and responds quickly.

Customer Service Rep responded almost immediately and found the required information very quickly. He/she answered my question fully. Thanks.

I bought most my lighting fixtures from Lightology in Chicago. One of the bathroom fixture glass case was broken when it arrived. I contacted my sales rep and quickly the parts department person Ally took over the case. They are very professional and responsible. The new glass case arrived coupe of days ago with the perfect condition. It's amazing to have such a wonderful experience to do our big home project with such professionals [sales, parts etc] who are there to help you. I want to thank "Lightology Chicago" !

Sometimes it's hard to find someone who is patient and answers all your questions. I am an interior designer in the Bay Area and cannot be an expert in all things. When clients want detailed answers to products, it's great to find someone who will help you dig deep so that you can get back to your client with confidence. The first rep on my chat passed me to Kelly Flaugher and she answered all my questions and provided links to the products I need. It was an extremely helpful chat sessions.

Lightology chat very productive & agent most knowledgeable I look forward to hearing the delivery date as soon as vendor provided

The agent was very helpful in finding something in stock when the item I ordered was backordered. Thanks again

Online chat associate, Audrey, was very helpful & prompt with her response. Thanks again! - Ervi Design Team Scarsdale, NY

Fantastic live chat service. Was able to get the information and results I needed right away. The team put me in touch with the correct person and I was able to place an order easily.

I received excellent customer service through the live chat. Lightology also carries quality products. I would definitely recommend them.

The support was simple to get in touch and the employer there was good as the support, straight to what I needed and resolver fast.

Easy access to info, easy to order, very professional. Did not like phone access, did not put me through to a live person - tried 4 times. On line access best.

Kelly at Lightology chat was great. Very helpful and she honed right in. She emailed me all of her suggested links. Yay! Thanks Kelly.

The chat function was great. The chat agent was able to answer all my questions and place the order for me!

HORRIBLE! Bought a light fixture for over $500 and used a licensed electrician to install it. The light fixture never worked. Shipped it back to Lightology for a refund but they refuse to refund it, claiming the electrician did something wrong. He did not. He did a full commercial renovation for us and this is the ONLY product that had any issue. He followed the instructions to a tee and even called Lightology for additional support when it didn't work. I'm livid and out $500. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Their customer service is horrible and they will rob you blind.

Very poor customer service. An antiquated delivery system that never updates. Everytime I order from Lightology, it's longer than expected (even before the pandemic), and the information is never correct. When one does speak, or message in this case, with customer service they get your information completely wrong. Just order your fixture somewhere else.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Dealt with a lady named Alyssa Barton. She quoted us 3 times. First quote given $19,000. The she quoted again because she made a mistake on shipping and it now costed $20,000. Paid for them in full. Then two weeks later sends a email stating she mistakenly misquoted the shipping cost again and says the extra shipping cost is $6,700. Completely rude and would not try and fix the situation or make it up in anyway after they had taken my money. Stated she already was giving us a discount since we were going through a licensed vender. When I asked how she could have made this big of a mistake she stated that she did not know. Then I called the store and spoke the the chief customer service officer Ray Perez. He stated that they did make a mistake and that they weren’t willing to eat any of the mistake made. Then the gentleman proceeds to tell me that they will take the money I’ve already given them for the specific lights I ordered and find me new ones. I stated I did not want new ones and that I’m extremely upset that I’ve been misquoted 3 times now and I feel that I had a terrible experience with this entire process. He does not offer to help or give a solution but make the situation right. I then offered to split the shipping costs and he tells me that lightology won’t pay for the other half. So I requested a refund and he says well we won’t be able to process the refund right away because we don’t write refund checks so I’ll have to wait. Wait till when? Worst customer experience I have ever had making a major purchase. I will never spend a

I experienced the worst customer service ever. The delivery took 4 weeks from the order date. However, the lighting was used one that has lots of scratches and the inside packages were opened and dirty. I requested the return to Lightology right away. They responded after 10 days and didn't proceed the return process even though I provided the pictures of the lighting and all the information for it. I have to call them every time to proceed it. Still I didn't receive the refund for 4 weeks since I asked the return even though Lightoloy received my return package in their facility.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had ordered a pendant in August 2020 and by December had not received order. I contacted Lightology and they told me it had been delivered November 24th and had been signed for as that is the only way they will deliver. I told them that was impossible because no one was at my home during that as my husband and I were in Florida. Upon that discussion Lightology emailed the delivering slip from the trucking company showing a signature of no one I knew. Obviously the pendant was delivered to the wrong address, but Lightology kept standing by the delivery company. Next step I had my husband check our Ring Security camera and it showed no deliveries on the date Lightology claimed delivery. When I called back explaining I had video footage I was promised by "Christian" his manager would call the next day after speaking with delivery company. It has been 6 days and I have had no calls from Lightology. Moral of the story if you expect customer service and for Lightology to look out for their customers you will be disappointed. I can't wait for their written response to this review, because "we are sorry to hear..." will not cut it with me. Buyer beware.

just now-Edit We already had one of the Zbar floor lamps from 3 years ago . Bought from a different seller. My husband wanted another one since he loved the one we have so much ! When I checked prices Lightology had the BEST price ever !! Cheaper than 3 yrs ago. The light was ordered Oct 28th and came today Nov 13th. I did have to call and get them to send the tracking number but that wasn't hard at all and Ken Vick LS principal was wonderful and got the info to me in seconds. I'm so glad we bought this lamp from Lightology.

Does not allow returns once you open the box. Purchased $4k worth of lights that are cheaply made and they will not accept a return.

No product support. I need a replacement part for a "Lightology" branded item. Should be a simple request. No response after almost 2 months of repeated contact attempts. Needless to say, my client is livid. You should consider shopping elsewhere for much better customer support.

I ordered a light on 09 May that Lightology said was in stock. They delivered part of the order the three smaller lights but not the large pendant ($1200) that comprised the bulk of the order. I called on May 15 and they said it was the manufacturer they had listed it in stock. When I pointed out that I ordered from them and not the manufacturer they said that their stock list only reflects what the manufacturer tells them. I placed the order with Lightology, despite the same lights being available elsewhere specifically because they listed the items in stock and had the quicker quoted delivery estimate. They said the item would now ship on 30 May. When I called today to ask whether the item had shipped they told me it wasn’t available until 22 June so I cancelled the order. I asked for a confirmation of my cancellation via email - not an unreasonable expectation given payment and email control only 39 seconds- I was told by a Wendy in customer service “I can’t discuss refunds on the phone. “ When I didn’t receive an email confirmation within an hour I called back and after getting customer service again I was transferred back to Wendy. She said she needed confirmation from the manufacturer that they would process my refund. I pointed out that while I appreciated they have internal business practices my order and payment were to Lightology and not to their manufacturer at which point she started shouting that she doesn’t have access to my credit card details and that’s not how refunds work and hung up on me. All I wanted at this point was email confirmation of a refund and cancellation of my order. Their customer service is rude and quick to hide behind processes, they don’t take responsibility for their customers and are not transparent in their dealings - avoid at all costs. Now have no order and no refund or confirmation.

Terrible company. Fixture arrived broken, was returned immediately, almost a month later still waiting for my refund. A complete runaround.

This is the place to go. Forget the rest . Ask for Mr. Hopper, don’t work with anyone else. Insist upon Hopper , don’t work with anyone else. He will give you everything you need and more. Beautiful design, quality, and Exceedingly professional. My wife is so happy

4 weeks after they accepted my return I have yet to receive any confirmation or credit. I would not purchase anything from this company. There are plenty of reputable options so stay clear of Lightology.

One week shipping took 6 weeks. Not a reliable source so had to find a substitute product. Charged me $150 to return the product that they were a month and a half late on delivering. Won't be using or recommending them again

DO NOT USE #lightology — They have no follow-up, no follow-through and no customer service to speak of. We’re having issues with an order placed several months ago. The order was “lost” and supposedly re-shipped but still has not arrived to the receiver. We can’t get the reps to call us back or email us with any information. Such a frustrating experience. We’ve been dealing with issues for over a month. We will not be using lightology again.

Alina Halloran Design has worked with Lightology on a number residential lighting projects. They have an excellent range of styles and prices to suit a variety of tastes and budgets. They communicate well on the timing for orders and have great customer service as well. It's a pleasure to partner with them.

I'm an interior designer and industry professional who placed thousands of dollars worth of product orders for my clients via Lightology in the last year. To complete a client's Master Bath project, I ordered a set of Sara Double Sconces and a single Sara Sconce, to accompany a prior order, already installed, of the same. When the light fixtures arrived, they were in a satin nickel finish, not a chrome finish as needed. I contacted my sales rep numerous times to remedy the issue and swap the fixtures for the correct finish. Erin dodged my emails and phone calls and finally passed me off to the "customer service" rep. After many repeated attempts at contacting this rep, I was finally advised they would need to process a return on the fixtures in the incorrect finish before they could replace with the correct fixtures. They encouraged me to place a new order for the correct fixtures prior to the return being completed, to expedite the process. In good faith the return/exchange would be processed, I did so - ordering another $2000 in the same product, correct finish. I had to fight for several weeks to maintain communication, and retrieve return labels for the return fixtures. After many emails to the CS Dept and many unreturned phone calls, I was finally was given the labels and prepared the fixtures in the incorrect finish for return. I returned these fixtures via UPS with tracking. Two weeks after the fixtures were returned to Lightology, I still had yet to receive a refund for my orig. $2000+ purchase. I, again, called and no return phone call. I emailed. A couple of days later, I received an email indicating the return could not be processed because the vendor would no longer authorize a return. Lightology is in possession of the $2000+ worth of paid product and refuses a refund. This company is beyond unprofessional, peddling additional sales and promises of exchange and/or refund, only to leave you high and dry, and out thousands. I will never order from Lightology again, and highly encourage any future customers to steer clear of this deceitful company. The absolute worst level of service I have ever encountered.

Zero customer support, would never buy anything from them. My order was in the price range of 10 thousand dollars. Two of my lights stopped working after an hour. tried to get the sales rep on the phone for over a week, I tried the owner, was told he was on personal time and could not call me back, the store manager told me they're to busy to call customers they run their business thru email. Email won't fix my fixtures, I called the manufacture directly and finally started getting answers to get a fix. One of my other fixtures arrived cracked in half, still could not get a return call. My location is less than a mile from their store, I wonder how they do with out of state customers. I have a choice on where we spend our money, they won't get another penny of mine.

Lightology is our fav place to shop for that 'just right' light fixture for every room and area in the house. Huge selection, fair pricing for designers, great service starting with our saleperson, Moises (completely helpful and technically knowledgeable), to the helpful (and fun!) folks at the warehouse. ALL positive exeriences!

I have worked with Lightology for many years and my experience with them has been extraordinary. They know the product well, have a great brand selection, their prices are very competitive and they never object to returns. They always meet the deadlines, are extremely helpful and what I like most about working with them is that they are very friendly.

We have been working with Lightology for the past 3 years and we love their light fixtures! Their customer service team is efficient and responsive. When we have occasionally had issues with some of their items such as damage they have worked quickly to replace them for us. We recommend Lightology for their quality and team.

Lightology has the best selection of light fixtures in Chicago. I know whatever I am looking for, I'll find it there. Their staff is friendly and very knowlegeable.

With each space we design, a variety of lighting types are selected to create a beautifully balanced atmosphere. We prefer to choose fixtures that elegantly relate, rather than overtly match. Lightology is the perfect showroom to fulfill these needs. Picture a space in your home for entertaining – a show-stopping suspension fixture hangs overhead while crisp, masculine picture lights illuminate a wall of art and pair of sophisticated sconces make your bar glow. All of those needs can be met and exceeded with one trip to Lightology. You can also find balance within your budget. Splurge on an iconic OR up-and-coming designer piece then accent your space with other classic fixtures that won’t break the bank. And one of our favorite Lightology picks is the custom Linear Lighting by Edge Lighting. Choose your own lengths and either suspend them perfectly straight for a classic, architectural moment or hang more than one, angled at random to add volume + fun to any space. We love what they do!

Complete waste of money, we had them come to our house to give advice on lighting. Totally worthless! They couldn't suggest size of chandelier, she said "I don't know a few feet tall". They didn't know g9 bulbs come in led, suggested we replace all the switches instead for proper dimming. No information on lighting color, just said that different brands can be different colors. Not good pricing. Very slow with ordering. Don't pick up their phones. Always suggest a higher cost solution when something better and cheaper available. Go to crest lighting! I learned they give free inhome consultation, are much kinder, and have same products.

They carry a beautiful selection of lighting but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Scheduling delivery took an endless series of calls. They recommended Intellis for installation and when that became a disaster for me it the problem their referral caused for me "wasn't their problem." An expensive fixture arrived damaged and no return call. I used to be in love with this store, now, not so much.

Poor customer service sums it up by what might be one salesperson's inexperience. The salesperson refused to visit the job site to assist in explaining the layout she designed for the track & monorail lighting and said that she was unable to provide any drawings or diagrams of her plan. My client (also in the industry as a designer) was sold materials that would not work in conjunction with each other (wrong wattages) in her condo and was then asked to pay a restocking fee of 50% for returning the parts. In addition, she would have to pay for the correct parts rather than receive a credit or exchange for the incorrect parts that were sent. Parts were missing from the order which was delivered to the job site and the salesperson then wanted someone to pick up the missing parts at their warehouse. My client reluctantly drove the incorrect parts across town and collected the missing parts from the warehouse.

Lightology is a great company that has been around for a long, consistent time. I used their products for multiple projects for many years and really enjoy and pleased with the outcome of services and products. I highly recommend Lightology and encourage their innovative products.

Great selection and affordable prices. Helpful and knowledgable team. I purchased several lamps throughout the course of the year. Would definitely recommend them!

For many years, Lightology has been an invaluable industry partner of Fredman Design Group. Jeff and the team consistently surpass our expectations by steadily providing exceptional service and a kind of attention to detail we can rely on. Like us, Lightology, is committed to the notion that all things are possible if we stand for everyone's success. All the while doing what we love and being inspired by what is still to come. It is with this belief that we look forward to partnering with them into the next 40 years.

Lightology is a go to partner of ours. When our clients are looking for the special element we only need to make one stop. Their staff and inventory are unrivaled. If you are looking for that special accent element... look no further. Visit their super convenient showroom at 215 W. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60654.

Great service, knowledgeable and responsive sales consultants. We purchased entire lighting package for our clients, all delivered on time to project site.

So many great options- great customer service and always many options for my budget! Sales people know the products , and always find me what I am looking for!

I initially contacted Lightology regarding a single light fixture for my modern contemporary new build. I found the team there to be so knowledgeable and helpful that they rapidly became my first point of call all the "wow" electrical features. I never thought I would buy such high-spec products online (you usually want to see the stuff first right?) but the Lightology team really helped me with my choices and I was delighted every time. I've had numerous compliments on my fixtures and I'm always delighted to recommend Lightology. Fantastic customer service, great products, great prices and really top notch advice. I will definitely use Lightology on my next project.

Customer service is horrible! I would not purchase anything from them again and would not want anyone to go through what I have. I placed an order for a light fixture online and was told I would receive it in 2-4 weeks. After 4 weeks I called to follow up and was told that it would be another 10 weeks! No apology and only a very small discount offered. Had I not been proactive and called no one would have ever notified me. After that next 10 weeks I still had not received my fixture so called again, only to learn it would an additional 10 weeks, meaning the light was going to take 24 weeks total instead of the original 2-4 weeks I was quoted. And again, not only was there an additional delay but had I not been proactive and called no one would have informed me. Even with the additional delay I was not offered any discount from Lightology. I don't care how good their selection is they do not deserve to have customers if they is how they treat people. They did not follow up with me once, even after saying they would, and have offered less than 5% in discounts to compensate for the massive delay. I will never be giving them my business again.

I have 6 different items ordered and 5/6 shipped but never heard about the last item after leaving messages and emailing. Also none of their low cost incandescent bulbs worked on arrival although they are normal on appearance. Packaging was good, and the lamps ordered came quickly. Bulbs were another story.

Wonderful service, incredible expert staff, great showroom with so many lights and fixtures. I found exactly what I was looking for - beautiful pendant lights.

Lightology is a great source for unique and affordably priced lights with a convenient showroom in River North. Several of my clients have purchased lights from here and have been pleased.

Lightology is a excellent lighting resource for both design professionals and end consumers. We have sourced from Lightology for various projects over the last 15 years. They have an eclectic assortment of fixtures and a responsive staff.

Customer Service and order processing by Lightology, is inexcusable. The phones are not answered when messages are left, they are not returned. Orders are processed in a random vague way that leaves the customer randomly weeks apart receiving packages with NO communication from the company in any manner. Here is my experience, I placed on order on April 29, 2014 and received a confirmation email, my card was charged, the items in my order were indicated to be in-stock in either the store or the warehouse. I deliberately selected my volume to match the availability. Due to the fact that this order was for an art show I needed it in a time sensitive manner so when on May 4th came I and I heard nothing from the company. I called worked my way through the phone tree and got to the web order person’s voicemail I left a detailed message including order number and return phone number. No contact! So on May 6 I tried email. I got a response that the order would be shipped in 7 to 10 business days. So to make sure I was not confused I asked from today or 7 days prior when the order was placed. The email response was for from the date I inquired about my order. So I sent another email letting them know that if the order could not be here by that Saturday to cancel it! The next week I got 2 separate packages with a few bulbs in one and one in the other. Fast forward to May 28, 2014 when I received yet another package with 5 bulbs. Clearly the cancelation had not been recorded. So I called and called and called 16 separate calls through the phone tree starting at 3:55 pm (EST) until someone answered. That person of course was not one who could help but she transferred me to the “correct” person. Someone whose extension went straight to voicemail not five minutes prior. Finally a human but a very unhelpful one she could not explain why the order kept coming and asked if I had received two bulbs today from the warehouse? When I said no she said oh then do you want me to cancel them? How could I have received them if they never shipped? In all of this NOT once has the company contacted me to send a tracking number to tell me they had a backorder problem or anything else! The bulbs I order are special LED ones and that is why I selected a company that had such positive reviews. BUT clearly this unprofessional, incomplete manner in which they have handled my order indicates that there exists. Systematic fatal flaws in their filament and customer service processes that and unacceptable.

Have purchased lighting from this company for the past 10 years. They are by far the most courteous in Chicago and have been very responsive to questions and concerns that I have had.

I have been buying fixtures from Lightology for years. The service has always been amazing! They are always so professional, knowledgeable and helpful! Anytime I am in the Chicago area I always make a trip to their showroom. I have never seen anything that compares to it! You must see it for yourself, you will be astounded. I always recommend to anyone in need of lighting to use Lightology! You will not be disappointed!!

Lightology is such a gem of a place in Chicago! Their store's display's are fantastic and their staff is beyond helpful. We purchased most of our lighting for our home from Lightology. If they didn't have something on the floor, they were quick to locate tear sheets and websites for our review. Pick-up was super easy. Their staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. I would highly recommend Lightology to anyone looking for one light or a complete new project.

I spent full retail on a greater than $1000 fixture and was sent a previously opened, damaged, used item with missing parts!!!!!!

The Lightology showroom is one of my favorite places in Chicago. Most of the lighting in my own home comes from Lightology, and I always recommend it as a lighting resource to my designer and architects customers.

I have several Lightology fixtures and a great monorail setup in my apartment. When it comes to lighting, I would simply never shop anywhere else. Their showroom is one of a kind, the fixtures are all exquisite, and the staff really know their stuff.

Lightology is a lighting showroom, and lighting website unlike anything else I've ever seen. I've always had a passion for lighting, and decided to see what I could do to add a little style to my house, my sister's place, and my neighbor's place. They've got a tremendous selection in the showroom, and great salespeople that helped me make what turned out to be perfect selections for a whole bunch of different areas. Did kitchens, a hall, a bedroom, and even some cool stuff for my neighbor's deck! If you've never been to the showroom, you really should pop by, and ask if you can see the rooftop garden. If you can't make it, try the site. Some really cool lighting is there!
