I have known Sean and Laura Sullivan for many years but got to know them well while Sean served as president of the North Carolina Home Builders Association and I was his Secretary/Treasurer. The Sullivan’s demonstration of passion for the home building industry didn’t stop at the state level but went on to serve at the National Association of Home Builders as well. Chairing the design committee and helping not only their custom homeowners but their fellow builders and designers too! I’m so proud to see how they have grown their company over the years and how they still educate others in the industry by conducting classes for the North Carolina Builders Institute. Besides building us a great house in the 2017-2018 timeframe, I want to comment on some of the built-in features that I didn't fully realize. We decided to have solar panels and a PowerWall 3 installed at our Living Stone house. As the installation company has done their site inspections and installation, they’ve been very complimentary on the readiness of our house for solar installation. In particular they mentioned the spare conduit going from the electrical box up to the garage attic. And also the fact that the electrical box was already split into two zones on the back end with a tie bar — making it very easy for them to do what they need to do. They said I had the best house for solar that they'd ever seen (although some of that may have to do with our southern exposure!). I am very grateful to Living Stone for the forward-looking "Net Zero Ready" design features you put into your home builds — thanks!

I do work for hundred if not thousands of contractors and I can honestly say that Livingstone lives up to their reputation!! From the initial estimating process to the final punch list they are organized all the way thru. I am not a customer but a sub and they make sure to keep the schedule moving along so the subs can do their jobs effectively and efficiently. This makes the process for the homeowners a much smoother job and allows the subs to do their work easily. This is rare to find in a contractor and you should know you will be in good hands with these guys. Great group of people that build wonderful homes!!

Living Stone is building my house now. I am impressed with their communication (weekly with my superintendent), the construction and the integrity of everyone involved in my house. After living in another home in Asheville for three years, I decided to built in a more accessible location. As I was looking at lots, I met Warren and Carol Strittmatter, who graciously invited me in to see their Living Stone home. Their place was so beautiful and detailed, that I immediately knew I was going to use Living Stone as my builder. Little did I know what a pleasant home building experience it would turn out to be. My home is everything I wanted and asked for. The process was a dream compared to my previous building experience. The assignment of a designer from Living Stone partner IDology was invaluable in helping with selection of lighting, cabinetry, tile, paint and even the placement of my furniture. Each of the contractors was top notch, polite, and accommodating. My superintendent was caring to the nth degree and made sure the process ran smoothly, giving me frequent updates, when I was out of the area. Living Stone attention to detail and to their customer needs is superb and beyond compare. I would recommend them to anyone considering building in Western North Carolina.
