You are not a "do-it-yourselfer". You hate hiring people, you hate shopping and, you hate the waste of your time. If you could find someone who would handle everything for you, you would do it. Maybe you enjoy beautiful homes, but don't have the time or skill to design your own. You may have thought that your solution lay in companies that promised you "free design". But, after trying them, you realized that you were doing all the work (and spending all your time) making all the decisions yourself anyway. That’s where I come in. Let’s start with what you get: Instead of vague promises, I provide you with a proven Process - IN WRITING - that gets your project done. You get lots of product suggestions and one-on-one advice for creating the home you've always imagined. The best part of all is that my Process will be customized for YOU and, I will do all the work. That includes drawing floor plans, creating your budget, purchasing materials, coordinating deliveries to your home and interacting with the contractor. None of those tasks are fun for a homeowner but, it's the best part of what a design professional does! Working with me is straightforward and fun. But to be honest, your favorite part will be just how easy our collaboration will be. I bring everything to your doorstep along with a clear-cut game plan to get the job done. You just have to choose what you like best, to help me get your project in motion (which is great when you’d rather be on vacation, than living through construction). So while you still may not love construction, I will make your project so easy that you will barely break a sweat. IMO, this is one of the last, bonified luxury interior design firms that I know of, where the owner herself comes to your door with style and class. I have never had to wait long for a call to be returned nor have I had to deal with "assistants" or someone's "staff" because when I hired Lynn, she handled my entire project herself. She did so with professionalism and sincerity. When I decided to renovate my kitchen, I was freaked out at the prospect of having to deal with it on my own. I am not a "shopper" and I dislike dealing with contractors (who always make me feel bullied). Well what a difference it makes, to have an educated professional woman on my side. Lynn developed a budget for me, based on my finances and proceeded to bring samples and design ideas to me, where I could review them in the convenience of my home with her at my side. She managed all of the orders and when it was time to do construction, there she was - at my house every day - to meet deliveries and to work side-by-side with her contractor. I am thrilled with my experience, and I love my kitchen. Lynn, thank you. Keep up the good work!

A kitchen renovation is something the average person is only going to do once or twice in their lifetimes. No matter how many HGTV shows you’ve watched, you’ll still find a project like that overwhelming even if you have all the time and money in the world. A professional designer like Lynn does multiple renovation projects like this every year. That means she has exponentially more experience than you ever will :) Lynn will prevent you making the costly mistakes and regrettable decisions that you *will* make if you go it alone. I’m super happy with my kitchen renovation and I know it would not have turned out anywhere nearly as well without Lynn. She was able to narrow down choices for me, help me make decisions based on her vast experience, guide me towards changes that I should make during the renovation rather than waiting till later, and a multitude of other big and little things I would not have thought of myself. A kitchen or bathroom renovation is always going to be a big and disruptive project. Do yourself a really big favor and hire Lynn to be your designer!

We hired Lynn to help redesign the bathroom of our 100 yr old home in Glen Ridge, NJ. We instantly felt a connection with her as she is friendly, sweet, funny and very knowledgeable in interior design. My wife and I only had basic ideas of what we wanted but didn't have the vision, nor the time as working parents to go through every little detail and deal with contractors and suppliers. Lynn presented us with multiple design ideas to include tiling, flooring, vanities, fixtures, storage, etc. She almost always found exactly what we were looking for but was also patient if something didn't feel right to us and would provide more options which would then be to our liking. Once the project started, she was very communicative in confirming orders that were placed, storing items, checking in on the contractors, ensuring they were following specs and assisting us with revisions when inspectors found issues with our old house that needed to be brought up to code. I can't stress enough the amount of time and design efforts we saved by using Lynn and can confirm that she knocked it out of the park with our new bathroom and we absolutely love it! We look forward to working with her on future projects for our house!

Right from the start, Lynn listened to what I wanted & was honest about what she thought my project might cost. I really wanted to redo my out-dated kitchen and dining area, but didn't have the time or the know-how to do it myself. A co-worker of mine had worked with Lynn and they spoke highly of their experience with her, so we met at my home to discuss my project. I was impressed with her knowledge of construction & her quick take on new layouts for my old kitchen, so I signed on. Now, my new kitchen is exactly what I could NOT have imagined, in that Lynn patiently guided me toward products and ideas that I didn't know existed, but that I now LOVE having in my home! My experience working with LM Designs was that the designer, Lynn, had a strong vision about the project from both an aesthetic and implementation perspective. She incorporated existing high-quality materials, such as marble flooring and wall covering, into her design while jettisoning anachronistic, lesser-quality elements, such as a poorly-made vanity, old toilet and dated lighting. Straightforward and professional, she designed a custom wood vanity and new granite vanity top and selected high-quality fixtures, sinks and storage solutions. As an example of her attention to detail, while working with the GC, she oversaw plumbing fixture installations that ensured that existing marble would be preserved. In another example, when she noticed a tiny crack in a newly delivered brand-new toilet, she had it replaced immediately. The addition of low-voltage halogen lighting, a mirrored medicine cabinet with side lighting and a new glass shower enclosure opened up and brightened the entire space. The overall end effect was a zen-like, calm bathroom that was a pure delight to use. It was a huge improvement over the dingy, uncomfortable room I used to dread entering. I highly recommend LM Designs for the designer’s knowledge, creativity and attention to detail.

Although we did not go ahead with a full bathroom remodel as we had originally envisioned Lynn's professional advice made us realize that we really could not afford such a project. She spent almost two hours with us patiently going over the various problems involved in the renovation of an older home's bathroom. When we advised her that we just could not afford the bathroom renovation she accepted our decision and there was never any pressure by her to undertake the project. I would highly recommend her service to anyone considering a remodel project.
