Working with Greg, Kathleen, and Rex was fantastic. We set out to completely transform our front, back, and side yards, which was a big undertaking as first-time homeowners. They made the process fun and effortless, while still including us in all design decisions so we could be a part of making it special. Rudy and the work crew also have impeccable attention to detail and are extraordinarily skilled. We hired Greg to do landscape design with the intention to use him to execute and support a local business in our neighborhood. What an awful experience it was working with him! We gave him our budget and one guideline, which was to make sure everything could be approved by the city as part of our ADU sign off. He delivered a design that was 3x our budget and broke multiple city rules (% concrete and regulation driveway width). We provided clear feedback in our 1 allotted review and he argued every single change we wanted to make, from paint to lighting. And only after following up via email and phone twice did he try to find a solution to our permit issue, which was to lay turf over a regulation concrete driveway after the city approved. Unfortunately we signed a contract and paid upfront. DO NOT make the same mistake!

If you're looking for truly high quality conceptual design and exceptional execution at a higher end price point, we highly recommend them! When we started thinking about doing some landscaping at our new house (which badly needed it), we really didn't really know how to begin or how to think about what our space could even be. We interviewed a few different landscape designers and ultimately decided to go with Greg because of the way he talked about design theory. While many of the other designers seemed to be great and had some good ideas, they were very specific and concrete, like "these plants would look good over there." While Greg demonstrated this knowledge as well, he seemed to do a better job at describing why he would do something and how it would make us feel to be in that space. This gave us the confidence that he would come up with a very thoughtful design that would help us make the most of our space and would even exceed what our vision for the space could be. His design fee was a little more than the other designers, but ultimately we thought it would be worth it for what we imagined would end up being a better design. Also, it seemed like his design fee was more inclusive than some of the other designers. It included a couple design review sessions at his office to talk through exactly what we liked and didn't like from the designs, what we wanted to change, to see and feel some of the materials that would be used, etc., and a 3D design, so we could get a real sense of what the space would feel like when completed. When we got the design back, we definitely weren't disappointed. Greg and his team thoughtfully designed every inch of our space to make the most out of it, taking into account our mid-design review input. We were surprised by the high price of the proposed overall design, and therefore chose to move forward with only the first phase at that time. Several months later, the plants and irrigation Greg's and his team installed are thriving, and it's a joy to pick fruit from the orchard trees he suggested we plant, and to see our children learn to appreciate nature. We are very grateful to have the longterm design vision to execute overtime, and we will continue to work with Greg and his team and highly recommend them.

My wife and I wanted to convert our ugly, unappealing landscape into a nice, drought-tolerant oasis. I called his office today and received a call back from Gregory within a few hours. Although our home address was out of his service area, he spent about 30 minutes on the phone with me while taking a look at our home on the internet and provided us lots of valuable advice on what to do for our issues and where to look for a qualified landscape designer and contractor. I really appreciated the fact he spent his time to do this when we are not really his perspective client. That really shows his dedication to landscaping. Thank you very much Gregory!

A good friend of mine had hired Gregory Davis and Associates for his landscaping project, and when I saw it I was so impressed with the design and craftsmanship that I reached out to Greg immediately. (By the way, I had tried and failed to retain several other companies to complete my project over the years, but frankly they kept flaking out.) Greg and I had several great design meetings, and he took my ideas and made them better, in addition to offering many of his own suggestions. His aesthetic and design sense are second to none, and led to an outcome that, while remaining true to my intent, was better than I had imagined. The quality of the work was impeccable, and his team is outstanding. Greg convinced me to expand the scope of the project, and I'm glad I did, because now I have outdoor living spaces in the front and back that look great and flow together really well. I did have to scale back in some areas to keep the cost manageable, but the end result was still great. Greg and I first met in January 2015 and the project was really and truly done by November (though of course how much was being done at any one time varied during the project). I recommend GDA highly. Ideally you have a pretty good idea of what you want to accomplish (and what your budget is) and that you are prepared to be an active participant as the work progresses. If so I am confident that you will be very pleased with the work from Greg and his team.

Greg Davis' work is incredible! I have photographed a number of his projects in last few years and have been extremely impressed. I have seen before photos of most of the projects, his vision is amazing and his work absolutely transformative. All of the homeowners adore him and have raved how their new outdoor spaces have have enhanced their home and social lives and encouraged them to spend more time outdoors.

I am a general contractor that does flood work, and I referred Greg to a client who had water flooding under their house from the landscape grading that was higher than the house. Instead of water flowing away from the house the way it should, water flooded under the home causing severe damage to the foundations which had to be totally replaced. We referred Greg to our client, and needless to say, they were very impressed by the level of knowledge he had about how to correct the grading issues. Additionally, he came up with new landscaping designs that were absolutely amazing. He took the water away from the residence by creating patio decks off the French doors in the dining room and office area and made beautiful living environments for my clients.
