Mallon was extremely professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of the build. Having built four homes prior, the quality and personal service far exceeded my expectations. My experience dealing with Mallon Homes was extremely pleasant and satisfying. I highly recommend Mallon Homes to anyone interested in new home construction or remodeling their current home.

Builder provided daily on-site oversight to insure excellent quality result, while respecting owner's wishes and guiding decisions for budget adherence in building a downsized home with specialized features for aging in place. Has the knowledge and experience for building higher end residential homes and developing a unique sub-division with consistency in exterior design that allowed for individualizing within design parameters. Has an attitude of caring about people and their residences. This builder made several minor corrections and additions months after the owner moved into the home. He made a difference by allowing an etched, frosted oval bathroom window, installation of an owner supplied interior stained glass window, specialized shelving, natural stone entry and supported design accommodations for a pet dog. He meets deadlines and works well with various contractors and workers. The builder's wife provides excellent interior design input.

After reviewing the currently available floor plans offered by Mallon Homes, my wife and I concluded that none met all of our needs. Tim asked us to make a list of what we wanted so that he could draft a floor plan based on the things we wanted. We did. He did. And now we have a home that has everything we wanted. Great guy to work with! He developed a cost estimate and we agreed to build at that price. He delivered at that price and never asked for a penny more. Trudy helped us walk through the selection process for the interior furnishings and colors. She made a list of everything we picked out and if there was any doubt we would always refer to Trudy's "Parts List". For us the results are simply gorgeous. This is third house we have built and was by far the easiest with the best results thanks to Tim and Trudy.

Mallon Homes built a phenomenal house for us. We had no experience with building a home so were very careful about selecting a builder. We saw homes that Tim had built and thought he had done an excellent job. A few of the reasons we chose Tim was that he is very knowledgeable, patient, exceptionally trustworthy, and every time we drove by a construction site of his he was there. He was very hands on with our home as well and was at the site daily. He does not rely exclusively on the subcontractors. In addition he was very responsive to our questions and concerns. He came in under budget and completed construction on exactly the day he said he would. Trudy helped with the interior design and was extremely knowledgeable and had very good suggestions. Tim knew our style well enough to catch issues with the design that he thought might be important to us and saved us the trouble of discovering them after the fact. Now that the construction of our home is complete and we have spent so much time with the Mallons, we think even more highly of them. We have heard lots of stories about problems with delays and budgets and shortcuts when building a home, but honestly don't have a single complaint about our experience with Tim and Trudy. In 2009 Tim Mallon built our house at Robie Creek. This is a complex house with over 2500 ft2 of living space, two RV bays and two standard garage bays. Because we are retired, we were on-site nearly every day, all day. He honored his commitments to the agreed cost and completion date. He was on-site nearly every day and usually for most of the day, over-seeing the sub-contractors and doing whatever was needed to keep construction moving. Several examples come to mind. Because it rained the night before the footers were to be poured, Tim was down in the trenches early in the morning bailing out water. When a crack developed in the garage floor, Tim decided to redo that section; he was right there running the jack-hammer and hauling out the concrete pieces in a wheel-barrow. When the power company was having difficulty running the main power cable through the underground conduit Tim lent some muscle and got the cable pulled. Every day Tim was doing projects just to keep the work moving forward. The sub-contractors appreciated working for Tim, because they knew that he genuinely cared about building a quality product. Further, they knew that they would be paid in full and on time. We were astounded at the skill required to orchestrate the large number of sub-contractors in proper sequence and timing. Tim is a perfectionist. He and two others framed the house and every stick of lumber was individually inspected by him; if it wasn’t straight, it was sent back to the lumber yard. The finish-carpenter commented that he really liked working on Tim’s houses because they were plum and true, which made his job much easier. Nearly, every time we spotted a flaw or problem, Tim had already noticed it and had talked with the appropriate sub-contractor.

When my wife and I moved from Utah in 2008 we looked at a lot of new homes for sale. When we ran across the Mallon Homes we were hooked at first sight. Mallon Homes were special . The workmanship and quality was abundant throughout the house. I talked to several subcontractors who were working on other houses being built by Mallon in the same subdivision. The comments were from he expects perfection from everyone. He will not settle for nothing but the best quality and workmanship for his homes. I found this to all be true during the construction on our home. Tim and Trudy Mallon our at the top of the list when it comes to building new, or remodeling you existing home. I do not believe you can find a better builder anywhere. If you are going to build a home go with the best Mallon Homes.

When my husband and I first met Tim and Trudy Mallon it was immediately obvious that they are passionate about building gorgeous homes. And Mallon Homes are not merely beautiful, but also incorporate many amazing practical details. (My favorites include outlets and countertop in a pantry and an entryway bench with coat hooks.) I'm pretty sure Trudy never stops thinking about ways to make houses more amazing. Once, I even gave her a tour of my home's amazing closets for research purposes! We love touring their Parade of Homes entries in the past and are so excited to talk to them about tackling a major renovation for a home we just purchased. We are 100% confident in their ability to produce amazing results.

Tim Mallon is an exceptional builder who not only pays attention to every detail in the homes he builds, but he also is as honest as they come. His integrity and character have stood out to my wife and I in the 10+ years that we have known him. He has an unblemished reputation in the construction industry, too which has been evidenced many times in my conversations with various subcontractors in the Treasure Valley. Mallon Homes are 2nd to none!

Simply put, there isn't a better builder in the Boise valley. The quality of their work is outstanding. I talked to a building inspector during the process of the building of our new home and told him I'd wait at least a couple of months for Tim to build me a home rather than going with anyone else, he said "I would wait longer than that". Actually, I would have too. Not only that, but you don't get any financial surprises or gouging on changes. He was at our site every day and not a single detail was overlooked. I especially appreciate their integrity and honesty.
