There are so many good things to say about Meredith, I don’t know where to start. From the very beginning of our kitchen remodel, she pointed out things that were obvious to her, but not us. As a result, she saved us quite a bit of money. Throughout the process she consistently offered excellent advice and opinions, understood our needs and generally kept us on track to a well-coordinated and complementary design. There were a few occasions when our contractor and I disagreed with Meredith’s opinion, but we always tumbled to the conclusion that she was right after all… every single time. Besides all of that, she’s a genuinely nice person and a joy to work with. We highly recommend her, you won’t regret it!

My contractor recommended Meredith after I talked with him about doing a complete remodel of our large kitchen. I contacted her right away - and she was wonderful! Traits that come to mind are: professional, personable, great listener, upbeat & encouraging, makes suggestions but doesn't overwhelm, and an excellent resource for finding things on-line and in stores. Meredith went with me (to several stores) to look at countertops, flooring, cabinet material, appliances, sinks and faucets. Most of the decisions came quickly because she had spent time talking with me about what my "vision" was for the kitchen. She listened carefully and knew what I wanted. Her measurements and drawings were excellent and helped me see what the final area would look like once completed. An example of how she helped with on-line resources was when I found a light for over our 10 foot table (that I loved), but was more expensive than I wanted to pay. Along with making other lighting suggestions, she searched on-line and found the same light at a substantial discount. I was thrilled! It's one of the first things people comment on when coming into the kitchen. I highly recommend Meredith if you are searching for a professional who listens well and cares about her clients as well as the project being completed.

There simply aren’t enough stars on Houzz to capture how wonderful it was to work with Meredith. I interviewed several kitchen and bath designers, but Meredith stood out immediately. She is knowledgeable, experienced, creative, and an absolute dream to work with. We met at design centers, stone warehouses, and kitchen and bath showrooms, where she listened carefully, offered smart welcome advice, and helped me avoid choices that would have sent me down rabbit holes. Meredith’s design and the detailed workbook she created impressed every contractor and tradesperson who saw it. She was my steady, unwavering, and knowledgeable advocate throughout the process. In hindsight, I would have hired her to manage the project as well—project management was the weakest link in what became an almost year-long renovation. At my request, Meredith stepped in to fill the void, demonstrating both her technical expertise and exceptional problem-solving skills. The end result is a kitchen and bath design that is stunning and even better than I imagined. Meredith is a one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable designer and a true pleasure to work with.

I was about to spend a lot on a kitchen remodel and didn't know where to start. I chose Meredith because she had experience specific to kitchens, in particular how to pick cabinetry, how to organize things in the kitchen, and how to get to a low level of detail so that the contractor had accurate information. She was fantastic to work with - very friendly and always positive, even when I felt overwhelmed. After 20+ years living with a main bathroom that didn’t meet our needs or align with our esthetics, we finally overcame the activation barrier and started to talk with contractors about a full bath remodel. Quickly we learned we were in over our heads without a solid vision and detailed plan. Upon meeting Meredith Larimer, we knew immediately that we had found our person: she was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and experienced. Meredith helped us through each step of the process, guiding our focus and building out design choices in a logical progression. She honored our budget constraints and provided guidance on where to save money and where to splurge on fixtures and features. She came up with design ideas we wouldn’t have thought of, and pointed us to local showrooms to help guide our choices. Meredith provided a detailed design plan for our contractor that took surprises out of the equation. She was very responsive to all modes of communication - important when questions would come up, and for occasional grounding during stressful times. Overall, it was a super positive experience with an amazing result!

Meredith did a fantastic job in redesigning our Woodinville primary suite into an absolute haven. We had some very constricting spaces and her innovation has created the ultimate retreat. Meredith is very communicative, innovative, caring, and timely. We would work with her again in a heartbeat.

What a gem this designer is! Meredith was recommended to me by a neighbor and she fit the bill perfectly. I was clueless where to start with remodeling our 1957 bathrooms. She has the perfect disposition for the biz, listened to my rambling ideas, focused in on my needs (and budget), chose the perfect hardware, tile, fixtures for our two MMC bathrooms (with my input), worked closely with my contractor and provided me with and an end result that exceeded my expectations. We were finally ready to remodel our kitchen, and I wanted to make major changes to the layout, but the costs seemed to be more than we were willing to spend. After talking to several design-build companies, I was lucky to get a referral for Meredith. Not only were we able to complete the project in a timely manner, but we did it for a lot less than we would have otherwise. She provided names for an engineer to help determine whether the wall was load bearing, a general contractor, a wood flooring specialist, and a custom cabinet builder. Each recommendation fit our needs perfectly. We had a good sense of what we wanted, but worried about costs. She helped me build a budget and suggested ways that I could save some money without compromising quality. Her initial design was exactly what I wanted with a few minor adjustments. She proceeded with detailed plans for the contractor and the cabinet builder. Everything came together seamlessly. I couldn’t be happier with the results. A beautiful, bright open space with more cabinet storage than I could have imagined! Her attention to detail for recommending colors, tile, cabinet finishes, and even cabinet hardware made all the difference. I highly recommend her services as she is flexible, intuitive, and I always felt in control of this major project.

We enjoyed working with Meredith on our first floor home remodel project. We went into the project thinking that walls needed to come down to make big changes but she encouraged us to show some love to our existing floor plan and we could not be happier with the result! The first floor remodel included the kitchen, powder bath, laundry room, family room, formal living room and dining room - all with individual challenges but now seamlessly flow together in design. Meredith provided meticulous specifications for our contractor to follow for each space. Her recommended cabinet designer produced stunning final cabinets that went beyond our expectations. We appreciated her ability to balance function, beauty, and budget throughout the project. We loved working with Meredith on our kitchen and bath remodel. We came with a strong vision for "Craftsman light" and she was all in. She brought her expertise and ideas, while letting us put our own touch on the design including a hand drawn custom buffet.
