About Us

Recently awarded Best of Houzz 2021 for customer service, Matthew Fowler, Architect is a licensed architecture firm founded in 1991 providing architectural design, historic restoration, interior design, landscape design, and master planning services. We have completed the design and construction of over one hundred projects, ranging from interior renovations to new construction. We believe in participatory design. We begin the design process by considering your needs and concerns and the unique characteristics of each project. Balanced with this approach, we draw on our extensive professional experience, knowledge of history, and respect for local context. We purchased a small lot on the Overseas Highway in Key Largo and wanted to build an artistic storage building there. Our realtor recommended Mathew who was working for a friend of his at that time. I cannot say enough good things about Matthew and his work ethic. He answers emails quickly. He has superior knowledge of the building codes which are extensive in Monroe County. It was a difficult task getting all of the required elements in the plan as well as maintain the beautiful design. Matthew is extremely talented. I would recommend him to anyone.

Had a chance to work with Matt on a new house project in Ramrod Key, and having spent many years in an Architectural Office myself, I was extremely impressed with Matt and the quality of drawings! Easy to work with, easy to reach and responsive to any and all questions. The drawings quality was excellent as well, went thru plan review without one request for clarification or extra notes, which says a lot. Looking forward to working with him on future projects!!!!

Our experience with Matthew could not have been better.Our screened porch in the keys,was destroyed by Irma,and even though it was a small porch,it was huge to us.Matthew was willing to help, when others were not.He handled it as if it were a much larger project,very professional returning every e-mail promptly regardless of his location or work load.I would not hesitate to hire him again...hopefully on a much larger project !
