We cannot speak highly enough of Michael and his team at MG New York Architects. They helped us from start to finish on our project, which in its nature was quite complicated, and included the design and execution of a full gut renovation, with the added nuances that come with DOB requirements, submissions and approvals. Michael and multiple of his team members made themselves available (often at short notice) for quick one-off requests and questions, as well as more in-depth consultations throughout our entire project - their level of knowledge of local laws and safety codes gave us a ton of confidence that we made the right choice in engaging their services. They worked with integrity and with our best interests in mind - always... and lastly, collaborated with several contractors to ensure the project was a seamless success. I wouldn't hesitate to engage MG again, and thoroughly recommend them to anyone considering a project in need of architecture services.

We have done numerous gut renovations, as well as a total rebuild. So when we went to Michael for our gut reno in Chelsea, we had high expectations. Our builder highly recommended MG Architects, and we were not disappointed. They made excellent suggestions, got everything processed through our condo association, and the NYC DOB, fast and easily. They are real pros and very easy to work with. They even make sure everyone else (contractors) are doing their jobs. Their fees are very reasonable for this level of top-quality service. Michael did such a wonderful renovation job the FIRST time I hired him that I was eager to work with him again in New York. My expectations were high and he didn’t let me down. In fact, Michael outdid himself this second time. Last year, I purchased the Sutton Place South apartment next to mine. My goal was to marry both units structurally and stylistically. There were many challenges not to mention all the regulations from the coop board. With Michael by my side, however, these challenges never grew into headaches. He somehow made the architectural and design process fun for me! Michael and his team obtained all the necessary approvals and permits from both the building’s management and NYC’s Department of Buildings. Now I have a new master bedroom suite, new full master bathroom, half bath, second bedroom, walk-in closet and an elegant library. Because of Michael, my home should be featured in Architectural Digest!! From start to finish, he was creative, solution-oriented, knowledgeable and always professional. I recommend him to everyone who needs architectural or design help. Michael is simply the best!

Lakefront building has unique challenges. Compliance with state and local restrictions and permits, run off regulations, and on and on. The best road we would have taken was hiring Mike and his team to help us navigate the waters (pun intended) of beautiful, clean design that meets all the requirements. This house was primarily designed with family in mind and pays attention to comfort through all four seasons; there is much thought given to energy efficiency and low maintenance. The thing I liked best in dealing with Mike was his ability to listen and put my abstract thoughts into a buildable plan. He is the consummate professional. This architect firm was very professional and responsive. We had a condominium renovation project and did not believe that architectural drawings were necessary. However, the condo management company insisted, so we hired this firm at the recommendation of our contractor. They did a fantastic job of working with a difficult condo management company and trying to keep our project moving along. The condo caused many delays for us, but the architects were terrific.

I worked with MG architects in designing an indoor pool. They had great suggestions and advice to create our dream space. The finished project is more than I ever imagined. We had a great experience. I highly recommend them.
