Bob and his entire team are true professionals. We had a somewhat difficult renovation project -- some structural issues, electrical capacity being tapped out, and so on. We had our original GC leave town at the last minute. And our permit was getting held up by the County for a long, long time. Bob jumped into the middle of this weird situation. He got right to work. He developed a sound and reasonable budget. [It turned out to be (forgive the pun) on the money, as we only needed a couple of change-orders, and only when the house threw a real curveball at us.] And he helped jump-start the permitting process by getting us in contact with a good expeditor. Once we got the permit (finally), his team were on the job immediately, and got the demolition, structural work and utility upgrades going. When difficulties occurred, they were promptly explained to our satisfaction, and addressed as quickly and completely as possible. Materials were handled carefully, and installed competently. Particular attention was paid to getting the details right (such as, for example, matching the stain on our floors to other finishes as precisely as could be done, or using lasers to get the angles and measurements exactly right at each step). He and his team worked well together, both individually and as a group. Work was well planned and organized throughout. Everyone on the job came to it with the right attitude. They provided friendly and courteous service at all times. We will need further renovation work done on the rest of our home. Bob will be our first, and only, call. We enthusiastically recommend him and his team.

The work was done by caring experts with conscientious attention to detail. Bob's crew worked well together with excellent and methodical timing. Leader Bob listened carefully to us, but also was not afraid to offer his expertise to us as needed. Bob Marzano of MZ Development Partners, LLC was our contractor for our primary bathroom complete re-model along with extensive changes - installing and relocating our laundry room - installing a tankless water heating system with multi-purposes and correcting previous incorrect existing plumbing and more. Bob informed us on every detail - both in writing and verbally, keeping us up to date with a daily text, email or personal face-to-face so we always knew the progress of our project. After interviewing 8 GC's, I chose MZ development. Bob and his architect Jay are professional, knowledgable, honest and friendly. Bob and his crew have been a pleasure to work with. They showed up as scheduled and Bob always answered his phone. We especially liked his carpenters. Like any project, there were a few hiccups and they were handled promptly. Bob is a problem solver. He accomodated our wants and stayed within our budget. For future projects, we ill definitely use MZ Development Partners.

Everyone showed up on time, on the day they were supposed to and got their work done. 3) Friendly: Easy people to work with. Would feel comfortable with having them here whether we were home or not 4) Continuity: There was someone here working almost every day. We made sure all decisions were made ahead of time and consequently had very few delays. Discernable progress was being made every day. 5) Attention to Detail: Top Shelf. Finding an honest, quality driven and detail focused general contractor these days can be a daunting task. We found all that and more with Bob Marzano - MZ Development. We’re so lucky we did. Our house needed an extensive overhaul - attic insulation to plumbing, electrical to structural, painting to FF&E. My wife and I vetted six GCs, narrowed down to four, interviewed all four, with Bob being the last. We knew after just a few minutes that he was the right fit for us. Sincere, process oriented, and demonstrating his affiliation with a quality team of master craftsmen (not subs, but his project team), we then had the opportunity to see his projects as references so willingly invited us in their homes. We were quite amazed by the quality and craftsmanship, as well as the lack of any shortcuts! Our project started in January 2021 with planning and meetings that included Jay, his architect (outstanding as well), and Bob. His contract spelled out everything in great detail. He met us a few dozen times before work even started - and his ideas and recommendations, including those of his team, provided for some sound decision making. Throughout the project, he was right there, ensuring that every item, no matter how small, was done to the highest degree of perfection. His team responded well to that and worked extremely well together. Cabinetry work and moulding installation was exceptional. Plumbing, electrical…done to perfection - so much so that city inspectors were nicely impressed! His painter - well, so good that we are having him paint the outside of our house! Bob is very conscientious and a solid communicator - he returns calls and texts within minutes. He goes the extra mile as we have experienced multiple times. I’d love to talk to anyone who may be undecided or looking for a GC. MZ Development was a treat to work with and so committed to quality in both what you see (finished product) and what you can’t (behind the walls). We are delighted at the outcome and now find ourselves, as the evenings settle in, just looking at the work done and marveling at the detail and craftsmanship. Besides all that, he remained on budget / no surprises at all. Not sure what more you could ask for in securing a top general contractor. Bob and his team are just…exceptional.

Bob and his crew are the best. This was a major renovation and complete re-do of a split level house that we converted to a more traditional house. 95% of our house was redone. Bob is meticulous and his subcontractors are fantastic at their crafts and very loyal to Bob for good reason. He was pretty instantaneous in his communication with me even on weekends, which we rarely bothered him in. This was a mid 6 figure job that Bob said would take 4 1/2 to 6 months. They finished in 5 1/2 months which is pretty amazing during a pandemic with major supply chain issues. Bobs bid wasnâ t the lowest, but it wasnâ t the highest of the 5 bids we received. They were pretty much on budget except for material price increases, especially lumber which was not his or the lumber yards fault. If youâ re thinking of hiring MZ Development you will not go wrong if you hire them to do whatever size project you are thinking about.

From the first time we met Bob, my designer and I were impressed. He asked the best questions during the interview and it showed us that he has a real eye for detail. Nothing gets by him. That also meant that his bid was the most detailed, comprehensive, all-inclusive bid. Don't let the amount scare you when he submits it. Yes, he's gonna be higher than the other contractors you talk to-- that's because he doesn't hide anything, provides allowances for things like countertops (that's part of his price) and if your allowance comes in under budget, you get a credit back. He's incredibly transparent. His billing is well documented and easy to follow. Throughout our kitchen remodeling project, he was phenomenal-- excellent communication, always early or on-time, upfront, honest, no BS, high quality of work, extremely clean and neat work site. There was only one day that we had a situation that didn't meet my expectations and he was all over it right away. He was my advocate. I can't say enough good stuff about Bob and his crew. I'm a pain in the butt for details and I can say that he met or exceeded my expectations each step of the way. I already want to book him for another project and I genuinely miss seeing him and Jimmy each morning.

Bob and Jimmy did an amazing job in our home, I cannot recommend them enough! Bob was always very easy to get a hold of be it email, phone, or text his responses were prompt and very informative. Bob and Jimmy re did all of the drywall in our second floor, refinished our hardwoods, and installed interior doors. They worked very diligently to get it done in the timeline we wanted, and the workmanship was even better than I could have imagined. 10/10 would recommend for any project!

Bob kept us informed on all progress and worked with us on any and all issues that tend to come up with medium size projects kitchen/garage . House was broom swept every day. Our hard wood floors were protected from day one till the job was over. Anything I or my wife came up with was addressed right away weather it was a "great idea" on our part or a better way to go by Bob. As a retired general contractor I know......... Our goals were to have the work done in a first rate professional manner and to meet the visual intent we had developed from our Designer. We hired Bob Marzano of MZ Development Partners to replace an old glass sliding door with french doors and side lights. This project involved a wall rebuild, siding replacement and interior wall covering. Bob was very professional and patient with our choosing the best suited materials for the project. Bob and his crew were very courteous at the house, did a fantastic job for us, and made sure everything was cleaned up and all construction debris removed before they left. We are definitely having Bob do our next project.

We had the opportunity to work with Bob and his team for a renovation on an older home. In short, we were very pleased, and the work holds up even months after completion. The bid we received was very detailed and made it much easier to break down the expected costs and understand where the money was going. In such an old house, there were going to be unknowns until the walls were opened, but Bob was on it the whole time and made sure we knew what we might find. Bob’s team was considerate and friendly and took care to leave the worksite clean each day. More importantly, they did good work. Additionally, Bob kept things moving so that there were very few days when work wasn’t happening. Inspections were passed without issue. Overall, we felt like the process was made better than we expected by having Bob and his team on this project. We were kept well-informed with no budget surprises. We would absolutely recommend the team and would use them again for future projects!

We used MZ Development Partners for a bathroom and kitchen remodel. Bob is very organized and responsive keeping us up to date on time lines and sub-contractor work. He was present for the start of each sub-contractor to make sure everyone was in the same page. When it came time to go select cabinets and tile the vendors Bob suggested already had details of the rooms and sizes to aid in our selection and making it a very smooth process. Everyone was clean, efficient, and respectful of our home, pets and small children. We have used Bob on projects in the past and will continue to use his company for any future projects.

We would highly recommend MZ Development Partners! Robert and his team finished our basement in October 2017 and we couldn't be happier. Everyone that was involved in the project was professional and trustworthy. There were several times throughout the project that we were not home while the team was working and that was never an issue. We are extremely happy with the quality of the materials used. Had a small addition built on the back of my 100 year home plus some reworking in the main structure to make it more livable. I was living in the house while it was being renovated. Robert and his team were very respectful, neat and organized. When they ran into unforeseen issues, I was notified ASAP and everything was thoroughly explained. The new addition blends seemlessly with the old because they were willing to use original doors and hardware from other parts of the house per my request. Did we stay on budget? No. Most of that could not be helped and compromises were made to keep prices in line as well. All in all, I am happy with the results and would use MZ Development again.

We just completed a fairly significant remodel. We added dormers and a master bath. We also also replaced the garage patio and driveway. He was very organized and professional. His contractors were excellent. The job was finished in a timely manner and right on budget. We are working with him on our next project too.
