We worked with Studio Nato as contractors on a project and were amazed by how efficient and smooth everything went. Nathan was one of the best guys to work with. Everything was mapped out for us which was very convenient and helped our company finish everything on time. We were there for the whole duration of the project we saw the way he excellently communicates with the client. He was professional and thorough about explaining all the details. Nathan realizes what they want and does everything to make it happen. He knows what he’s doing and he’s doing it well! There was no doubt that we would be a great match for this project from the start.

Nathan helped us renovate our apartment last Spring. We loved working with him and are so happy with the result. We remodeled our bathrooms and reconfigured some closets to optimize our space. Nathan has exquisite taste, but he was also very attuned to our personal style. He offered great suggestions to meet our budget and aesthetic goals. Along the way, he provided us with moodboards and technical drawings to help us visualize the changes.

Nathan helped us with layout options, lighting design, and overall styling ideas for our bathroom/walk-in closet remodel. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and gave us excellent advice. Using his expertise really made us feel confident in the decisions we were making, knowing that the outcome would be something that we would love. He's got a great eye, and knows what works and what doesn't. We will definitely call Nathan Cuttle Design again for our next project.

Nathan is a wildly talented designer and has a way of gently steering a project to a level beyond what you originally consider possible. Nathan designs for the pragmatic and efficient use of the space and manages to weave this into an overall aesthetic that is lovely and reflects the personality of his client. Nathan designed a kitchen and bath for us and I am grateful for his energy and creative contribution to our house every time I come home! He helped us save a 1920's cottage is utter disrepair, honored its old bones, and graced it with a more youthful and modern energy.

Nathan is an excellent designer, who understands how people live in spaces and he executes his vision flawlessly. He designed a bathroom for me and created a space that is clean, open and inviting. Not only did he respect my budget, wants and needs, but he helped me to see how small changes could improve the space enormously. I've had the pleasure of working with Nathan for the past couple of years, both on professional and personal projects. He brings over 15 years of experience to the table. I first approached Nathan to help me renovate my home after watching him and his crew turn the house next door to mine from a falling down mess to a beautiful property. I was impressed with the detail he used in transforming a historic property and with the skill and respect Nathan used in working with is crew as he spoke to them in fluent Spanish. Nathan began my project by listening to me and then helping me realize the amazing, yet practical changes that could be made to my 1200+ square foot, 1927- era home. I had wanted to update my dark, tiny kitchen, renovate my bathrooms, re-do a poorly done front porch conversion/ sunroom, replace my ancient roof and gutters, and give the exterior more curb appeal. The plans he showed me, with a do-able for me budget, which he respected, included so much more than I had ever dreamed possible. He proposed taking down the wall from the kitchen to the dining room and opening up the rest of the rear of the house to create a beautiful open kitchen with a small, extremely workable laundry room off of it and a cozy, wonderful en-suite master bath. His renovation of the other bathroom provided the room I needed to expand my tiny closet into one that holds all my clothes and includes shelves for my shoes and sweaters. The totally re-done sunroom, complete with pet friendly travertine floors and period appropriate windows, is my favorite room in the house. Nathan also helped me choose colors for the entire house that flow well into each other, and he encouraged me to add insulation and energy efficient, exact replicas of my huge, drafty windows that have saved me a noticeable amount on my heating and cooling bills. On the exterior, Nathan chose a grayish green to paint the brick - that was a shade no trim color worked well with- and paired it with crisp white trim. The result was so dramatic that people walking by still tell me how pretty my house is. The miraculous change Nathan made to the exterior and interior appearance and flow of my house, including his attention to detail and assistance in helping me do everything from making a new pathway from my driveway to my back door to replacing pieces of furniture too big for my space to ones that work, has made me happy and excited to come home from work every day. Four years after the work was finished, I am every bit as happy with it as I was when it was first completed. My renovation, obviously, was a big one, and it evolved as work progressed. The date given below for the project was our first meeting to discuss everything. The new roof, the start of the work, was actually completed in late November 2010; the interior changes started in late December 2010 and were complete by March 2011; and all the exterior work was completed in June. This timetable was fine with me, as it involved our adding and tweaking things as we went along. Nathan was very patient with my periods of indecision, and his workers and sub-contractors were wonderful. I do not have pictures, but Nathan has good before and afters that he certainly has my permission to show.

Nathan was a dream to work with. He did an excellent job of taking our "vision" and turning it into a concrete design. He kept to our budget. He did an excellent job of researching products and materials, providing us with edited options to choose from. He is a great communicator and was always prompt for meetings. He made us feel as though this project was unique and special to us - nothing cookie cutter about it. We could not have asked for a better experience! The job was to renovate our kitchen and living area. It was such a success that we have hired him to design our master bath.

I had Nathan help finish off various rooms in the house, including billiard room, carriage house and office. I am not only thoroughly pleased with the experience, but came away having learned quite a bit about the design process. I appreciated Nathan's personal style, but more appreciated his patience and teaching of how things go together. The finished product allowed for my thoughts to be brilliantly paired with his talents. No ego, but confident in his thoughts and his interest in my likes...in detail, allowed for a very collaborative and quite enjoyable project to unfold and my house to be a great professional representation of my amateur thoughts and ideas! Absolutely top talent and very enjoyable to work with in all phases.
