On the Purple Couch, LLC

I took an Annie Sloan Paint class with Bahia. She's an excellent teacher and very patient. It was so much fun to practice distressing furniture and using all the waxes! I can't wait to get started on my own project! I loved the vibe of her store too!

This class was very good. Instructor was professional, knowledgable personable. Good basic knowledge. There is a lot more to learn though. Would be nice if there was a series of classes, or perhaps even one where class members talk about their project, show pictures of it, what they learned thoughout the process. I think that would be very good. We even made a frame during the class and was able to take it home.

Bahia and her staff at On the Purple Couch will make design and renovation fun AND successful. They have an expert eye for color, are skilled in all aspects of paint and painting, clearly enjoy helping with the project at hand, are always available to advise and consult, and, finally, have limitless patience with the novice.

This consignment shop is not to be missed! Upon entering, you are greated with the biggest, warmest smile possible. At "The Purple Couch', there is something for everyone. You will immediately be drawn to the eclectic decor, the high end and one of a kind assortment of shoes, bags, clothing and acessories. And if you need to nurture your creative side, might I suggest signing up for a furniture painting class, where you will find commoraderie amongst your fellow peers......and did I mention fun? I visited the Purple Couch to attend a chalk painting (Annie Sloan) class. Bahia (the owner and stockist) of Purple Couch is very professional and pleasant. She handled the class really well and is very knowledgeable of the chalk paint process and products. I would definitely recommend others to visit the store to take the chalk painting class and browse her store.

I took a chalk paint class at On the Purple Couch and it was amazing! Bahia is a warm and friendly person. Not to mention, a patient teacher. She was helpful and fun. We learned a couple of great techniques that really gave me the confidence to tackle my numerous projects. Chalk paint is versatile and a great way to invest a little elbow grease and turn something old into something fab!
