Rise was the Interior Designer of a project we designed for a young couple in Los Alto, Ca. While the project was a remodel of an existing home, it was basically a total make-over. Rise and her design team were such a pleasure to work with, her attention to detail and choice on materials complemented our design perfectly. She really pulled this project together, highly recommend RKI if you are looking for an Interior Designer.

My wife and I worked with RKI Interior Design in connection with the rebuild of the top two floors of our home located in Menlo Park. Rise and Nicole in particular were incredibly valuable resources to us throughout the entire year-long project and provided outstanding recommendations regarding room designs, room layouts, fixtures, finishes, colors, and almost anything else related to our home's design and build for which we needed input or advice. We were particularly appreciative of Rise and Nicole's responsiveness outside of regular business hours when last-minute decisions had to be made and for which their guidance proved invaluable and spot-on. It is abundantly clear to us that our home would not have turned out anywhere nearly as well had we not engaged RKI to guide us throughout the process. We would highly recommend RKI to anyone considering a remodel, large or small.

I have worked with RKI Interior Design on many projects, large and small, over the last 7 years or so. What a delight to work with such a talented and competent professional. The design firm brings some very important things to the table. Dedication, experience, and talent. RKI's customers are never taken for granted. RKI has an awesome staff to keep the project organized and on track. As a cabinetmaker, I thrive on timely decisions and answers to questions. With RKI I am never kept waiting, and my work can proceed without costly delays. How many design firms deserve these compliments? Not many, and I'm always delighted to be a part of their projects.

We would recommend Rise and her team of designers to anyone. We have worked several times with Rise, Nicole and Ingeborg. They all are talented and easy to work with. They took the time to understand our family's needs and lifestyle before making any suggestions. They ask questions and are respectful of budgets. We used RKI Interior Design when we added a second story to our home and several years later when we remodeled the kitchen. With the first, larger remodel, they helped us design several bathrooms, select paint color throughout the house, lighting, furniture and rugs. They suggested furniture that would be lovely yet work for a family with 3 young children. They were always helpful but not pushy. With our kitchen remodel, they gave us 3 alternatives from very simple to designs with a greater number of changes, taking into consideration how we entertain and how we live day to day. They were responsive to our requests and questions and accommodated my own schedule when we set up meetings. The staff is warm yet professional. I am not a decorator nor do I always enjoy selecting colors, furniture, tile, lighting, paint colors, etc. RKI Interior Design made it fun and alleviated the stress of all those decisions!

I moved from a large house to a one-bedroom apartment in a retirement community last year, and I asked my friend Rise Krag for her help with partial redecorating. She at once made a wonderful and unexpected suggestion on wall colors which has been very successful and pleasing to live with. She has shown me how to make focal points of certain of my heirloom belongings, and her knowledge of and feeling for color is unerring. Rise has brought the plant colors from my balcony garden indoors with charming effect. She has also advised me on lighting and has been helpful with specific suggestions on product catalogs, etc. Although I did not ask Rise to do a complete redecoration of my apartment, she has succeeded, with just a few professional visits and access to her by telephone, in making my apartment attractive and comfortable. After 23 years of projects in the Bay Area, we have had the opportunity to work with a great many different design firms. We have worked with RKI Interior Design on several projects as well as consulting with them on our own showroom. RKI sets themselves apart not only by the originality and aesthetic harmony of their designs but also by the professional competence of their staff. In so many cases design professionals are so caught up in imposing their concept of design that they loose sight of the timeline, budget and even aesthetic goals of the client. This is certainly not the case with RKI Interiors. I am always amazed watching Rise Krag during a production design meeting as she truly listens to the what the client is wanting, is able to absorb all the input from the various professionals present and then at the end of each meeting, present an artistic solution or plan that keeps the project focused and moving. This is an extremely rare and valuable talent in such an artistic person and firm.

I have known Rise Krag for many years in both a personal and professional capacity. One could not ask for a better interior design specialist. For openers, she is an artist. This is reflected in the innovative and original concepts she brings to every project. She understands color, texture and three dimensional composition--important for living comfortably in a home. RKI did a fantastic job with an incredibly quick turnaround time when we purchased and remodeled a new house. We had only weeks to complete construction before occupying the house, and Rise and her staff were able to design and implement some beautiful upgrades to the premises. They are responsive, creative and very well connected with vendors. We highly recommend RKI Interior Design.
