Before we put our house on the market we spent months updating bathroom mirrors and faucets, installing new light fixtures, and painting the interior. The updates were strictly cosmetic that we were confident would pay off but when we considered staging the home we were hesitant to invest any additional money. We hired Shar to help us with rearranging, repurposing and for fresh ideas in our home. It was most helpful to have Shar's expertise with paint colors and to rearrange our art. By moving the pieces around, we have a new look and saved on the budget. We would have never thought to move one of the pieces above the fireplace, but Shar did and we love it. Several items we thought we didn't want to change, with Shar's suggestions, the next day we were seeking out replacements (area rug and lighting) and love the new look. The sofa we thought we wanted to replace got a new look with Shar's suggestion of throw pillows to add texture and color (again a budget saver). It was definitely worth the investment to hire Shar.

I hired Shar to provide guidance on staging our 3000+ sf house in Minikahda Vista in St Louis Park. Over a period of 2-ish hours, Shar and I went from room to room as she made recommendations that I then implemented on my own. I appreciated her down-to-earth, practical approach that helped me make the best use of existing furnishings with little additional cost other than new towels, fresh throw pillows, a coat of paint for the master bedroom and master bathroom, and a few items I bought off Craig's List. Shar was thoughtful in her approach and studied each space, helping me to understand what would be important to prospective buyers. The session was very interactive: we worked together to problem solve how to handle some unusual space and she answered many, many questions. I learned a lot AND had a lot of fun! Once I started implementing Shar's recommendations, I was able to build on them with my own staging ideas because I had learned from Shar what each room needed to accomplish. The house just went on the market at the end of last week; we received nothing but rave reviews from open house attendees on Saturday and Sunday and from people who saw the listing on Facebook. We first worked with Shar to stage our house to sell. In less than 2 hours she gave us our list of changes we needed to make. We followed every instruction and our house sold in 5 days in December.
