We were extremely pleased with the work they did when we had our master bathroom remodeled. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. They were so professional when they were in the house and kept the entire area contained. I always assumed a renovation would be stressful, but it was not at all. Picking out the materials and fixtures was even fun! The entire team was great and they were exactly on time to the week. They were very responsive to any questions. I highly recommend them, and hope to work with them again in the future.

We first used Dana King several years ago for our bathroom remodel, so it is a testament to our experience that we went back to them when looking to remodel our living room. Throughout the design process, Meg was amazing at understanding our style and listening to our goals while providing ideas that we would have never thought of to elevate the space. Throughout the construction, Jason and Drew and the team were great to work with and would readily address any questions we had about the process. At the end of the day, Dana King places a high emphasis on quality and it shows - we are thrilled with how our living room turned out!

We had a living/dining room that we’d been meaning to remodel for years. They repaired plaster, made built in shelves, painted, repaired dog damage to trim & door, and refreshed decor of room. We had pieces we wanted to keep and Rachel made them work wonderfully with what was added.

Dana King and her team surpassed our expectations!
We were looking to have our living room redone completely as well as a few other spaces. Our interior designer, Rachel, was always ten steps ahead of us in her thinking and planning and was always checking in to make sure we were happy with the project. Dana King Design Build Remodeling company did a terrific job remodeling our kitchen, with updates on the adjoining laundry room as well. Dana King herself was able to oversee the project. Becky was a wonderful designer. She listened to us and made focused recommendations, so it was easy and quick for us to make selections of colors, appliances, cabinets. Paul used the online program to set the schedule and keep us informed every day. The schedule was followed practically to the day, and we could message easily with Paul and others if there was a question. He and the team were very responsive quickly to any questions we had. Jeff was on site most days, either working or checking with the other contractors. He was excellent. All the workers were skilled, polite and neat. The result is beautiful and was done in a timely way with excellent communication throughout.

We hired Dana King Next Project Studio for a large renovation, including a complete gut and renovation of our kitchen and guest bath, as well as refreshing the family room and main hallway. This is our second project with this company. The entire team assigned to our project were so professional. They managed everything, from permits, to design specs, to subcontracting. The entire process took three months, but the project manager and carpenters kept us informed every day what tasks had been completed and what work was happening the next day, so we always knew what to expect. Everything was so smooth, and the people assigned to our project were the most professional I have ever worked with. We will definitely use them again when it is time to update our master bed and bath. Our project manager was Drew Chapman, our designer was Meg Blais, and the lead carpenters were Nick Duncan and Greg Piper. I highly recommend Dana King Next Project Studio.

We loved working with Dana King Design Build for our master bathroom remodel. Our bathroom turned out more beautiful than we ever imagined! Everyone at Dana King was great to work with. Our designer sat with us on multiple occasions and stayed in great communication so that we were on the same page about decisions big and small. It was great having the Dana King team as the lead on the project for all of the different work that needed to be done-drywall, plumbing, etc.—so that we didn’t have to be coordinating all of that ourselves. A great experience and we highly recommend using Dana King!

Disclaimer: My husband is a project manager for this company but I want to speak more specifically to the trade partners and the design assistance.
1. The design assistance received in Basecamp allowed me to have a lot of flexibility in really going with my own design. I knew exactly what I wanted but I really needed the designers to tell me if I had any blind spots in my selections. In example, I was originally DEAD SET on this ceramic, geometric, tile for a mid-century kitchen and I wanted teal/turquoise. I had found exactly one tile that I liked and it was so far out of budget that I kept second-guessing it for that reason and because in my many dream boards I kept seeing glass tile for mid century kitchens and not porcelain. Dana found an extremely budget-friendly tile option in glass and I ended up loving it - now that it is in the kitchen I could not imagine having gone with any of the other tile options.
2. The very first design that was sent over (the 3D mockup of the cabinets and counters) and actually showed us that we had the space to add a small island. Again, I pushed back insisting it would be too tight - they reassured me that it was plenty of room - they were right. (Trust the experts.)
3. Trade partners. I think this is the most important part of my review. My husband has been in the industry for a very long time... both as a project manager and as a carpenter. I felt respected, listened to, and treated equitably, by the trade partners. I was given the platform (even by those few who did not know I was the project manager's wife) to ask questions. I knew who was in my house at all times. I felt completely comfortable in situations to leave the house with contractors there all day and not worry about anything. I actually made fast-friends with several of the trade partners and now I use them for other services outside of this renovation. I think the quality of the trade partners *selected* by Dana King is meaningful because they are the ones executing the process and in your home on a daily basis. Everything was left clean and was quality work; we did not have to have anyone come back and re-do anything, no touch-ups, etc.
The cabinet maker received a request from us very late in the game when we realized we wanted to wrap our peninsula and needed a whole other piece; they rushed the panel for us so we could feel our project was complete.
Dana is also very good at brainstorming creative solutions and if she does not have the answer she knows exactly which trade partner can make it happen. In example, due to the pitch on our roof we were not able to keep/install our massive vent hood. We tried to measure smaller ones and find others that might have worked and still no go... Dana recalled a design she had seen where the vent was build custom in the ceiling with a custom grate and she got us in touch with the HVAC trade partner who could customize something like this for us.
Dream kitchen turned out amazing!

We purchased our home in February 2022 and planned to relocate to St. Louis in August. Dana’s team remodeled our kitchen and sunroom, created a walk in closet in the primary bedroom, and handled various other cosmetic upgrades. The team was a pleasure to work with, and we are thrilled with how our projected turned out!
Brett managed construction and was an absolute professional. We really appreciated his solution-oriented approach and transparent communication throughout every stage of the process.
Michelle handled all design aspects [including drawing up layouts and proposing options for fixtures/tile/hardware/furnishings/drapery]. Michelle’s expertise and consultative approach allowed us to feel confident and excited when making our selections. We appreciated her patience (we are first time homeowners), and our reliance on her recommendations is in large part why we love the design of our home today.
Overall, the team went above and beyond in their efforts to ensure that we were happy with the final product. Dana’s ability to offer a “one stop shop” for both design and construction needs is invaluable. We were thoroughly impressed with the team’s ability to coordinate and execute in a timely manor (especially during a time when supply chain issues are as difficult as ever), while keeping within budget.
Additionally, we found that remodeling a home can be an emotional process. The team listened to and collaborated with us, communicated effectively, offered solutions to address unforeseen occurrences, and ultimately enhanced the vision we had for our home. The team provided A+ quality work in both construction/design and service. They consistently delivered on all levels.
We look forward to working with the team again on our future projects!

Dana King and team did a spectacular job. This is what I would define as "white glove" or "concierge" service. I shopped around the big box options and even some heavily advertised remodeling options. I can tell you with certainty that you WILL NOT get the project management, design influence, and collaboration out of those options. Dana King and team offer a detailed project plan, a very visible and easy to understand budget with plenty of options, daily communication/expectation management, and extremely close management/scrutiny of contractors involved. Our project required changes to electrical, plumbing, walls being taking down, and so on. All went flawlessly. Like any project, when problems or pivots were required, we (the customer) did not stress over it...the project manager and team stressed over it and presented solutions giving us a voice in how to proceeded. Would we use again? Yes, we already are for another project that is currently underway--that alone should tell you something!

This is our second project with Dana and her team. They took a bathroom with an oversized tub and undersized shower and reworked everything to give us universal accessibility and a linen cabinet. We expanded the original scope of work to add carpet and paint in the primary bedroom; they took on the challenge without a hiccup. We love our new space!
The team is excellent at communication and highly responsive. They gave us consistent status updates about the state of the day’s work, what the plan for the next day was, who would be doing the work, and when they would arrive. Because of supply-chain issues, what had been marked as a 9-week project stretched to 24 weeks; but they worked with us every step of the way, advising us if we should substitute materials or if waiting would be a better option. When our original floor tiles were held up indefinitely we were able to make changes on the fly because of the original scouting trip we’d made with Renna - no need to spend another day looking at samples!

Dana King Next Project did a really good job with our garage remodel. They met with us to discuss our needs and wants for the garage then put together a design plan that would work for us. They kept us informed of each upcoming step of the remodel and what to expect. Each crew arrived on time and cleaned up upon completion. Overall, this was a really good experience working with Dana King Next Project.

Dana King and Team are fantastic! They are so professional and personable. They were respectful and attentive to all our needs. Remodels are exciting, but overwhelming at times. They recognized this and were very proactive in counseling us through the unknown. They went to bat for us with permits. They uniquely solved a shower drain issue we had to ensure our desired design was attainable, and they helped design bathrooms that considered our voice. What we really appreciate is that even after the project was completed, if something comes up, they are easy to contact and respond right away with a solution. For instance, the towel rack needed to be replaced. They ordered a replacement and came by to install when it was in. They are dependable. I'd definitely call them for a future projects.

I needed to get my laundry room out of the basement and brought up to the main floor. The only good option was to convert part of my single-car garage. After all, who can really part today's car in a 1960's size single garage?! I had a general idea of what I wanted but Dana and her team listened to my needs and came up with a design that worked with both my needs and budget! I use to have to depend on my kids (AKA: pay them) to do my laundry. It's so nice doing my own laundry again and I sing Next Project Studio's praises with each load! Bravo Dana & Team!

We are thrilled with our renovation and could not be happier with the look, function and flow of our remodeled home. The team at Dana King made sure to do their homework before the first hammer was lifted. They met with us to listen and learn what was important to us, how our spaces were used and what needed to change. They continued to communicate regularly throughout the process with questions, suggestions and recommendations. Every member of the team from design to contractor to management to client shared in the same communication app keeping us all up-to-date and on the same page from start to finish.

Dana King is a design and build (all in one) company that handles all the details for you. I suspect you pay a bit more for the service but the service is worth it. Their app allows you to know what is scheduled, who will be in your home and what work is to be done. A big shout out to Drew and Greg who make sure all the details are handled well so the homeowner is not constantly asked questions by those doing the work. This centralized approach is very helpful.
The quality of work was outstanding and the company wants happy customers. I was not 'happy' with the placement of a dining room light and at the final walk through I mentioned my dissatisfaction, Dana hopped on the issue and the light was moved 18 inches to a location I was happy with.
Rena was very helpful in furniture placement and selection of lighting, appliances, fixtures, backsplash and countertops. She presents several 'visions' and you both work on design.
It is one of those 'you get what you pay for' issues. They may cost a bit more but it is worth it.

Next Project Studio provided design and contract management for our townhome renovations. They provided interior design services, painting, tile work, hardwood flooring installation, glass shower door, custom drapery and shutters. They chose and managed the subcontractors - which was a great service to us! We couldn’t be happier with the results. We would hire them again for any other home improvement needs that we have.

We had a persistent leak that let rain water into our kitchen and dining room.
Dana King was the fourth company we had to fix the leak. The other three did work but the leak persisted and the first three would not respond to our calls. When the exterior sub-contractor came he got on a ladder and took pictures of where the water was coming in which the other exterior people did not do.
While the work was rather expensive, the quality was first-rate. They were in constant communication, on-time, stayed with the job continuously until completion. Dana King dealt with unforeseen issues promptly and did not increase the price. Kent was excellent to work with as the foreman and Greg the interior drywall and painter was a joy to work with. The window replacement only took one day and there was minimal disruption to our lives.
We were very satisfied with the work and the professionalism of everyone at Dana King.

We used NEXT Project Studio to install pocket doors in our media/TV room so it could be used as an office during the day. We live in a 1933 house and wanted the doors to look like they had always been part of the house. The project involved moving electrical outlets as well as drywall, matching moldings and hardware and painting.
We have used Dana King for another recent renovation and once again, her team did an excellent job. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent. Without hesitation, I recommend Dana King and her team for anyone looking for high quality results with outstanding customer service.

Family Room Remodel and Fireplace redesign.
This was such a pleasant process from beginning to end! Dana King Design Build Remodeling has helped us with other areas of our home, and this time we called her to focus on updating our family room. Dana gave us lots of design advice - she helped us figure out what design "vibe" we wanted and then helped with everything: room arrangement, furniture and artwork purchasing advice, drew up detailed plans for a complete remodel of our fireplace wall and mantle and also recommended paint color and flooring. She even helped with styling our coffee table! We love our new room and can't thank her enough. We are already planning to use her services again and recommend her highly!

Working with NEXT Project Studio made the kitchen remodeling process easy. From the beginning they worked with us and our budget to provide us a well-designed kitchen. Even though we had a smaller budget they didn’t blow us off like some of the other companies we contacted. They came up with a creative solution to our small space to create a functional design making our small space feel spacious. The actual process of the remodeling was great as well! They helped us narrow down our choices to make our decision making easy. They were knowledgeable about what would work in our space and how to improve the functionality of the space. Communication throughout the process was consistent and they kept us up to date on the progress. NEXT Project Studio took care of all of the scheduling and ensuring the project stayed on the timeline. There were a few delays in the process but for the most part they were outside of their control.

First of all, when I spend significant money on anything; appliances, cars, home remodeling, I do my home work and research diligently when I make my choice. I was very pleased going with NPS for a complete re-do of the main floor of my 1991 3 bedroom ranch. We have recently retired and NPS offered a special design approach called ‘aging in place’ as we will remain in this house until the coroner takes us out in body bags.
The surveyed and put together several different options for a complete tear out and rebuild of our kitchen and two bathrooms. They widen door entrances, installed door-free tiled showers. They added and enhanced lighting throughout the house with new LEDs on dimmers. I used to have to get on the floor with a flashlight to get pots and pans out in the kitchen. No more! They put in a corner lazy suzan that is a wonder. They moved the refrigerator to the other side of the kitchen where I had a small built-in desk. Result: they almost doubled my counter-space. Brilliant!
When Dana asked what was important to me I told her communication of when workers would be present and clean up EVERY DAY before they left. They have an outstanding communication tool called ‘Basecamp’, where they posted every evening, what was done and what was next along with time lines on completion and any change orders we requested as we went along, and we had numerous ones. Dana was very conscientious regarding our budget and kept us spot on dollar wise with each change.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Her team have one thing in mind: respond quickly to any details that need attention and do whatever is necessary to keep the client satisfied. They get a 10+ on everything. It is rare to develop friendships with companies that come in and work for you but Dana and her team will always have a special place in our hearts. They cared about us and the quality of their work that much.
In fact, once that project was done, my wife missed the team so I had them come back to completely finish out our garage.
If you want the job done right the first time, on budget and with care, NPS is your only choice for home remodel. You can find less expensive contractors but you will not get the quality and commitment you get from NPS. I was in technical sales for 45 years. I know that if you pay cheap you get cheap. Don’r go that route.

We first contacted Dana for a consultation on updating our kitchen. We liked her ideas so much, we had her re-do our living room, dining room and great room, too. The job took longer than we expected, but it was due to things that were beyond Dana’s control. What’s important is that it was well worth the wait. We liked everything so much that we hired Dana again to re-do our bathroom, which was also out of date. It was also really big, with a lot of wasted space. Thanks to Dana, we now have not only a master bath but also a separate powder room, which we really needed. Plus, her forward-thinking touches promise to come in handy as we bumble our way through our senior years. Everyone who has seen the remake love the new look, but none more so than my husband and I. Plus, we had the enjoyment of working with and getting to know Dana, who is a true delight. She’s also the consummate professional. She kept us up to speed every step of the way on everything from scheduling to costs. We’ll hire her again in a nanosecond the next time we have a project.

I want to shout from the rooftops how amazing Dana King of Next Studio is! I highly recommend her and her talented team for any and ALL of your design, construction and remodel needs. She is prompt, reliable, helpful, quick to respond to calls and email, follows through quickly with tasks, keeps her promises and is so clever and talented. She is so fun to work with too– I guarantee you’ll be keeping her as a lifelong friend! She has been so instrumental in helping us update our home – now we walk through our home smiling and IN LOVE because of everything she did to help us.
Our relationship started years ago with a bathroom remodel for our 20 year old home. We didn’t know what we wanted, but we knew things weren’t working for us and the room felt stale, out of date and “builder grade.” Dana asked some questions to help us zero in on what we loved and didn’t like about our existing bathroom then gave advice and somehow guided us into the perfect decisions--THEN she made sure every little detail was executed perfectly. (Just a note: Her team is as talented as she is!) Our new bath room is amazing—so awesome in fact, that we couldn’t wait to ask her to help a year later with the next area of our home we wanted to update: the kitchen, living room and dining room.
The second time working with her was just as smooth and enjoyable as the first – she suggested we look through Houzz and set up a little notebook with things we liked (that was easy and fun!) and then somehow she looked through our mishmash of ‘likes’ and made the perfect plan! (How does she do that?) From the minute she presents her ideas you will be jumping up and down with excitement because it’s just want you want but you didn’t know it!
Another thing we love about Dana is she is considerate of our budget…we don’t want our projects to look cheap or have poor quality furnishings, but at the same time she helped us not to waste money.

I engaged Dana King and the NEXT Project Studio team to design a two-story home addition and connected outdoor living space that included a large deck and swim spa. Time is money in my business, so I really appreciated the full-service that Dana and her team provided. They managed not only the design, but also the communication with the architect and sub-contractors. The team didn't force their opinions and were open to our ideas. We were presented with three concepts. They detailed the costs and benefits for lifestyle and resale gains so we could decide the scope of work. After we decided on the winning plan, they got busy helping us manage all the selections that needed to be made. In a project of this size, it is bound to have challenges, but Dana kept us informed with updates and provided solutions. We are very pleased with the results, having achieved a beautiful space for entertaining family and colleagues. NEXT Project studio is ideal for busy people, who like me, want excellent design and project management.

Project completed on time, within budget, great workmanship and a super functional kitchen in a relatively small space.
We hired Dana King and Next Design Studio to do a complete remodel of our 30-year- old kitchen and nearby powder room. The kitchen remodel included all new custom cabinets, countertops, floor and appliances (except for the refrigerator). Also installed was a great hood over the range that vented outside the house rather than into the attic.
We liked the design process that Dana used. Both designer and builder presented their ideas. With the perspective of the builder-eye, we were able to help avoid any designs that would lead to major construction issues and costs. At conclusion of this meeting, which lasted several hours, we had a basic design and budget, and agreed to proceed with the detailed design and construction bids.
Dana provided lots of expertise during the design phase including layout, material selection, cabinet options, and appliance choices.
We were extremely pleased with the quality and timing of the construction. We were very, very impressed by the quality of the cabinets. Between Dana and cabinetmaker several nice innovations in the cabinets were included.

I hired Dana to do a gut kitchen renovation. Dana spent a lot of time with me at the outset of the renovation project making sure that she had a sense of my needs and wants. She then worked incredibly hard to make the vision a reality. Also Dana is a really, really good designer. She came up with great, out-of-the-box ideas that worked flawlessly in the space. As with any major home renovation, there were hiccups along the way but they handled them in a professional manner. Part of the success of the outcome stems from the great working relationship between Dana and Marc. They complement each other nicely. For future design projects, they are first on my list.

Over budget, under delivered.
We gave Dana's team out budget limits and they came in 33-50% again over the top end of original estimate. We lost out on things we really wanted like quartz counters instead of granite and xenon lights instead of LED, just to try to stop the hemorrhaging. Feels like the value went in Dana's pocket, not our home.

At our first consultation, we do give a budget range based on our initial understanding of your needs and the scope of work. To understand actual costs, and to learn more of your needs and ideas and to share ours -- and to sometimes dream of possibilities -- we design with you and make selections during the development phase after the initial consultation. The advanced thinking and understanding gleaned from development can change our initial budget projections. If you must stay to a predetermined budget, we help you limit the choices and design appropriately.
During the development phase: We are a partner with you to value-manage the project. We are upfront in the design and selection process regarding cost-drivers. We provide options to contain costs.
You made excellent value-packed selections to develop a resonable project cost. However, your desired project and desired budget did not match up. This is disappointing for sure, but not unusual. In my own home, I am remodeling my basement and I am not able to do everything I dreamed, but it is still a stellar project. The budget challenge compels us to think creatively and to create amazing elements we might not have considered if we had carte blanche.
None of our clients have unlimited budgets. So this is the challenge we embrace and provide an expertise to assist you.
I feel to clarify so others are not confused:
You agreed to the contracted price and to the design and selections. All costs and selections were known to you before you signed or paid. The price was appropriate for the scope of work and consistent with industry data provided for per square foot costs. (See Cost Verse Value Report by Remodeling Magazine.)
In the design phase, well before construction, we provided value-managed options for design and materials mindful that you wanted to stretch your dollar. Your granite selection was one of those value-managed items. Granite is considered a premium stone and our vender offered it at a very favorable price relative to quartz so it was a compelling option. We were not made aware by you that you felt dissatisfied with this option, quite the contrary, you expressed satisfaction that we found a dynamic stone at a lower cost.
At the time of your project, LED under-cabinet lights were not as affordable and reliable in our opinion as they are now. Xenon was a great choice at the time to contain costs. Today we use LED and are delighted with the LED expanded options.
During the construction, you requested and agreed to change orders to add additional items that did impact the cost of the job. These were your choices and were less than a seven percent increase to your original contracted price. When the average construction costs is reported to be out of control by twenty percent or more, we are satisfied that we helped you control and anticipate costs.
At the final walkthrough -- the point you give your final confirmation we have completed to your satisfaction -- you expressed to me your pleasure with the end result and gave fair critique of our process for which we were grateful. Two years after the project, you have given this review expressing feelings I did not learn from you directly.
On the NEXT Project Studio VALUE: For products: where we have a builders' discount, we passed that savings on to you. For warranty and follow up: In our business, it is difficult to find a designer/contractor who will appropriately fix missteps like your flag being accidentally soiled by our worker. We had your flag successfully cleaned by an heirloom material specialist at a premium cost. We twice fixed a "lemon" faucet, which we had advised against before it was installed. Our plumber expressed concern that it did not meet standard US certifications and would give you trouble. Because there was no other faucet you liked as much for the design, we applied ourselves creatively to make the faucet work -- a faucet that had no regulator and did not drain correctly. This was at considerable cost to our company and we went above and beyond our obligation. Over a year after the project, we assisted you to clean a stain in your countertop. We stand by our ten-year workmanship warranty for which you have still have eight years. We will answer the phone call from you. This is the good news of our company, the honest work we do, I hope you feel to report.

Trustworthy, dedication, transparency, and hardworking are just some of the few descriptors that I have for Dana and her team at Next Project Studio. I have the pleasure of working with Dana in 2013 when I commissioned her to renovate my duplex in Clayton while I lived overseas. Despite of my absence from the country, Dana has kept me at ease by providing me with a detailed breakdown of the budget, regular project updates, and pictures taken from the job site on a weekly basis. After Dana breathed new life into my investment property I was able to rent out both units within one week of listing them on the market, and at the high end of the asking price.
A few word of advice for anyone who is looking to hire a general contractor / designer: 1) don't base your decision on price alone, 2) do ask for referrals, and 3) always check out their work either online or in person. After my due diligence, I decided to work with Dana and it has made all the difference. I would not hesitate to recommend Dana to my friends and family.

I asked Dana for an estimate to remodel my small, outdated bathroom. The end result is amazing - completely transforming the space & making it feel significantly larger. The process took a bit longer than anticipated due to an unforeseen issue, but it was completed in a reasonable amount of time without a huge disruption.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dana and all her crew & would not hesitate to use them again.

Would never go with anyone else! Dana has a superb eye for what will work in her designs, and when she showed us plans based on descriptions of what we liked, we were blown away...she nailed it exactly. She really listens and is so easy to work with when we asked for several different variations of the plan to choose from. If you want it done right, the crew she works with to do the remodel are absolutely professional and unlike many contractors were on-time every time and finished ahead of schedule. The best thing about Dana is she knows how to find the perfect detail items that tell everyone that sees our kitchen that this was a high-quality job, no ordinary remodel!

I originally hired Dana King/Next Project Studio to do a 2 hour consult for ideas on remodling our out-dated kitchen. She was completely professional - she listened and offered a wide variety of ideas, options, and suggestions. She was up-front about cost estimates, time-frames, scope of work, etc. I never felt pressured to hire her for additional work. She gave me great value for my consultation cost, more than I expected. I felt very comfortable working with her...I felt I could be totally honest and that she was too.
We did hire NPS to design and renovate our kitchen and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. We were given cost estimates of all work up front, as well as a time line. Everything was done within cost estimate and on time!
This was an extensive remodel, which can be a very disruptive process. Everyone who worked on the project through NPS was professional, respectful, and pleasant. Communication throughout was excellent! I would recommend Dana King/Next Project Studio to anyone and would absolutely consider using again form any other remodel project.

NEXT Project Studio completed a complete bathroom renovation for me, starting in October 2013 and ending in Spring 2014. Everything was removed and replaced in the bathroom. The scope of work included new cabinetry, new and enlarged shower, new bathtub, new columns, ... really, new everything. In selecting materials and fixtures, the company continually worked to accommodate the style that I preferred. Some plumbing and electrical work had to be moved. From the beginning, Dana King, the designer, collaborated with me on all aspects, listening carefully to how I envisioned the renovation. She made excellent recommendations regarding all aspects and demonstrated respect for my ideas. I did not accept all recommendations from Dana. Some decisions were wise on my part. Some were not. She explained that custom cabinets would be nicer. I decided on builder-grade cabinets to reduce costs. That was a poor decision on my part. Dana and NEXT Project Studio worked very hard to stay within my budget, which I appreciated greatly. We kept the costs within a reasonable range and the quality of the work was excellent (except, of course, with the cabinet choice that I made). Nonetheless, the bathroom is beautiful and will enhance the marketability of my house when I decide to sell. I highly recommend Dana King and NEXT Project Studio for major home. renovations. Beautiful design and high quality work.

It took a few months to develop the ideas, source materials and place orders. I want to clarify we did not have your bathroom torn up for months. From the start of ideas to the end of the project was a total of six months, but actual construction was about eight weeks, which is normal for a large bathroom as yours with many features. You made many smart decisions to enhance the successful outcome. We were grateful for your upfront and candid feedback to our recommendations so that we could serve you well. Cabinetry is an area we feel needs due consideration. Your experience with cabinetry options serves us and our clients well to note.

We wanted to replace our kitchen sink without having to take out or replace the granite countertop, which is not as simple a project as you might think. NEXT Project Studio found a company with the skills and experience to successfully complete the job.

Dana came to my home by way of a consultation on Angie's List. I needed furniture, rugs and ideas for my living room and dining area. I hired Dana on an hourly basis and she gave me many great ideas, came with me to a rug and furniture company and most of all made me go out of my comfort zone choosing bold colors I never would have thought of. Everyday when I look at my living room I am in love with the bright colors, chair and sofa choices and rugs and am having fun adding accent pieces. I love it all. Thanks, Dana

Be ready to spend money. After discussing project with her before consultation, she was aware of my budget. She and her helper came and discussed plans with me, charged me close to $2000. for plans that came in at 100-150% over budget, and was basically given the option of spending more money or leave her alone. I am now stuck with plans that are not completely what I wanted, and to modify plans would cost more money. She had some good ideas but was unable to stay within a close range of budget. I am now out the money, nothing has been changed (not even a faceplate or lightswitch), and am stuck with plans I could have done myself with a simple software program. I basically am out the money and having to start all over at square one. I blame myself for being too trusting, and unfortunately, probably will just replace what I have without making any attempt to change floorplan into something better suited and more efficient. I dont want to hire another professional who can only cash checks and doesn't concern themselves with the customer's needs.
