She can easily see what the viable options are for arranging the space and can present them to the client in different ways to make sure they fully understand and can choose the best one for them. She can understand the different lifestyles that different families have and helps them with the selection of appropriate building materials including appliances, windows, cabinets, counters, tiles, floors, lighting and plumbing materials. There are so many things to choose from and all of them have good and bad points. She is very familiar with and knowledgeable about these different materials and how they inter-relate. This helps the client to more quickly narrow down their choices. In order to get an accurate estimate of the cost of a project a family has to be very specific with their potential contractors. The specification packet that Sue helps the client prepare, along with many drawings that she does of all the construction specifics, means that contractors can accurately estimate and quickly accomplish the renovations to the clients complete satisfaction. Sue helps with project management throughout the project, making sure the construction is done as quickly and correctly as possible. The client will never be wondering what is the next step or when they have to provide this or that in order to keep the project moving along. She is always available to contractors and subs to make sure all their questions are answered promptly so they can get it done on time and on budget.
