When I was considering an interior designer I was hesitant because I felt I could do it on my own. I started looking at items for my condo, and quickly realized it would time consuming plus I wasn’t sure my vision would turn out the way I wanted to. I interviewed multiple designers, and ended up choosing Inside Story. Sy was a consistent professional, and has a great eye for design. I gave him an overall of the feel I wanted, and he went with it to pick out perfect items. I am very pleased how my condo turned out, and would highly recommend Sy.

Sy's talent for design helped me bring my vision to life. He has a fascinating ability to bring balance and beauty to a space while maintaing function and staying within budget. Because of him I now have the kitchen of my dreams!

Sy Iverson of Inside Story has a unique ability to translate the vision of what I had for my home remodel into a beautiful masterpiece of color, design and style. Sy listens carefully to my ideas and provides constructive criticism on the various design elements. I hired Sy Iverson, Inside Story, to be the designer on a 36 year old home that we bought in Laguna Beach, CA this past summer. I learned about Sy when I toured a beautiful home he had designed several years ago in Irvine, CA. The house made such an impression on me that I asked the owner who the designer was and I saved his name for two years. My dream was to purchase a home that needed renovation, so that I could bring Sy in to do his magic. This past summer, I realized my dream of finding a house near the beach and having Sy as my designer. I could not be anymore pleased with Sy's talent for design and his professionalism. He is hard working, a talented artist and a pleasure to work with. Sy is focused on doing the best job possible for his client. It's an honor to know him and to have him designing something that is so important to us.

Sy Iverson of Inside Story has completed two superb design projects for me, the most recent this summer. His creativity is striking, and he's always there if there's a problem with contracting. Further when it's time to pick flooring, fabrics, tiles, etc, he generally offers a range from conservative to, well, spectacular. Sy, the owner of Inside Story, is incredibly talented and very thorough in designing and creating perfect spaces for all of his clients needs and wants. I have worked side by side with Sy on various construction project and now am happy to say my husband and I are currently using him on our on major remodel of our home. I have worked with Inside Story for more that 14 years on MANY projects in my primary residence and my vacation home. My husband and I LOVE working with Sy. He is so creative, talented and very professional, and never disappoints on his designs. He has an incredible ability to understand our personal taste and lifestyle, and our homes really feel and look like us and reflect our personality. We have recommended him to many of our friends and family over the years, and no one has ever been disappointed. Inside Story is the best!

Sy has been involved in 3 remodels we’ve completed over several years involving two homes. His work from start to finish is thorough and the result is something we continue to cherish. We never tire of walking into the parts of the house Sy has touched. We moved a few hours away and at first employed a different designer and I can’t say the same about her work. Luckily, since then, Sy has been willing to work with us long distance. Why is Sy so good? He listens to what you want, he absolutely knows his ‘stuff’ (from textiles to appliances, he’s an expert), he honors your budget and he works well with contractors. Most important, his design work is extraordinary. We can’t imagine working with anyone else.

We have been working with Sy over the past 2 years in a redesign of our home. He has been great to work with, responsive to our needs and has done a fabulous job thus far working within our budget. Sy Iverson is the most talented interior decorator I have ever known! Sy designed our living space with our taste in mind - but then made it better than we could have imagined. I love our home and a major reason is because Sy did such an incredible job, from picking out furniture, wall colors, carpets/other flooring, bathroom/kitchen tiles, to designing ceilings and archways, to overseeing the painting/tile/other contractors, and to even hanging art throughout our home. Sy used a combination of new and our existing furniture and fixtures in an effort to achieve the results we wanted, as well as to keep our projects within a budget. He is so creative and always a lot of fun to be with. He is my new best friend!!! Sy always answers all of my questions right away and sets up meetings that work with my schedule. We have now hired Sy again to help us with a new project! If you want the best, Sy is your man!

I have used Inside Story which is headed by Sy Iverson for several projects involving various levels of design work - from a total redo of older properties, to completing interior finishes/turn-key decorating on new construction to just adding and sprucing up existing interiors. Sy's level of professionalism and implementing the clients wants made the projects progress with such ease. He is very detail oriented, works on a timely basis and can be cost effective when needed, also having reliable resources for fabricating his design of window treatments, furniture design and reputable companies to use for the construction/installation.
