Leanne is that rare professional who listens deeply, processes respectfully, draws from a wealth of experience and knowledge, surrounds herself with expert support, creates accurate expectations, executes meticulously, and delivers a final product in a timely manner which, in our case, beautifully realized our initial vision. Throughout the entire process she was an absolute joy and even now, as we continue our work together into the next stage of bringing the Master Plan to life, we become genuinely giddy each time she visits as we know our time together will be filled with new learnings and good company. Working with Leanne and her partners at Terra Design was a complete joy. From the planning stages where we explained what we were thinking about, to the mock ups bringing that vision to life, all the way through to the final project, we could not have had a better experience. Our project involved excavation, retaining walls, drainage, sprinkler systems, decks and cement patios and it took a lot of different people. Leanne, Mark and the crew at Everlast Landscape were able to completely transform our long neglected and overgrown backyard. Her creative designs and project management skills, along with the construction teams expert execution, turned our eyesore into a dream. The combination of bluestone, crushed marble and Mediterranean inspired plantings compliment our 1938 brick home perfectly. The entire process was professional, on budget and quite frankly, fun. Leanne is a true professional, providing not just excellent creative solutions but also managing the entire process with an owner's sense for timing, communication and overall execution. Our project included both design and planting of a large area and replacement of a deck and stairs. She and her team completed everything within the agreed-upon timeframe and budget, and it looks fantastic.

We have just completed our dream deck project. We were challenged by a small space with an old, unpermitted deck that did not meet land use code. We wanted a complete a refresh to serve the multiple purposes of the primary entry into our home, a place for comfortable entertainment, and space for our extensive annual and perennial gardening. Leanne developed a wonderful design and persisted with the building department to find a solution that meets code requirement. This was a most collaborative project! We were welcome design contributors and at the same time were gently “talked off the ledge” for ridiculous ideas. We were fortunate to have Leanne’s project management services and work with her construction partners at Everlast Landscape who are talented and industrious.

When I work with someone, the key things I assess are: 1. Does the person know this space and actually has good ideas 2. Are they proactive in things so I don’t have to keep following up on stuff Leanne is definitely all of these items. She has a vision and can help design any size space. She is extremely proactive, follows-up, and goes above and beyond. Example: she volunteered to reach out to the new construction next door to talk about fence design, and had several meetings with them. Below are before and after photos of my small yard. And we even recycled the stone and plants!

Leanne is professional, thoughtful and diligent with detail. Her estimates are accurate and clear, her design work is clean and modern and she has a depth of knowledge in her field that is refreshing! She was flexible enough to take on a big project, but break it down into multiple pieces for us and we are excited to continue to work with her to finish it!

Leanne is so wonderful to work with, my husband and I could not decide on a style that we liked or could agree on for our garden, but Leanne found solutions to all of our problems and helped us to create a garden that suits our needs and the style of our house. And we both love it. Estimates were accurate, no hidden costs or add-ons (unless they were added on by us), no surprises. Leanne had thought of every detail and told us all upfront how much it would cost and how long it would take. She was spot on. The team Leanne works with are also amazing, they work really quickly, everything was always cleaned up at the end of the day and the workmanship is incredible. I wish Leanne and her team could renovate our whole house.

Leanne was terrific to work with. She is responsive, prompt, and worked with me closely to create a great plan which was executed impeccably. The project required several subs which were all high quality and well managed. Every detail was attended to with great care. Leanne was an absolute pleasure to work with for our small front garden project. She was very communicative from the beginning, and answered my original inquiry quickly and provided all of the info I was looking for. On our first meeting, she listened carefully to my ideas and needs, asked great questions, and was up front with anything that she saw as a potential issue for the project (permits, construction considerations, etc). It was clear that she really knew both the design and construction elements of the project. After talking through the aspects of what we wanted, Leanne came back with a few different ideas for how we could proceed. She and Molly presented these along with photos and materials that would be used in each version, and answered all of our questions. Leanne took all of our feedback and came back with a more formalized plan, which we were very happy with. She was also very clear on costs and timeline, which we appreciated. The construction went extremely smoothly, and Leanne was a terrific project manager. We really didn't have to worry about a thing. She gave us frequent updates about the work -- what was happening when, what was left to do -- and she was on site daily to monitor progress and spot any potential issues (there were none). Leanne's contractor, Mark, was excellent and he and his team did a great job with real attention to detail and craftsmanship. He was able to fit our project ahead of the expected schedule, and the whole job went very smoothly with no surprises or delays. I look forward to working with Leanne again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a smart, experienced, highly-organized, and detail-oriented landscape architect.
