Ali Reeve Design

Ali Reeve has been a Godsend for me: my cheerleader, my organizer, my creative consultant. She is an extraordinarily talented designer--her sense of style, color, scale, and most importantly, her "feel" for the overall vision and design plan of my surroundings that reflects my personality and lifestyle--is impeccable. But Ali is much more than that. She is a gifted leader, and an outstanding planner. Ali has an exquisite sense of detail, and can coordinate many jobs at once and do them well. She sticks to her timetables, follows up on every detail, and just gets things done! And even when times were challenging, she handled each aspect of the job with the nicest sense of diplomacy. I wish I could ask Ali to plan my life, but short of that, I will ask her to plan my next home. It has been a marvelous journey! Catherine P.

I worked with Ali back in 2017 and 2018 through a design service that no longer exists. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, especially as a first-time design customer. We were moving to Brooklyn and had pretty much sold everything we owned because it wasn't going to fit in the new space, so we were starting almost from scratch. She helped me unify my look and solve several challenging issues with that particular space. We always got a ton of compliments on the main living area kind of a combo kitchen/dining/living room open plan deal - which was the are she focused on with me. Being able to have something pleasing, calm and organized to live in when your world is being dominated by a toddler was worth more than I can describe. We were very sorry to leave that sapartment when the military decided to move us again. I don't know if I'll be bale to work with her again as we moved out of state, but I would in a heartbeat.

Ali is the best! We loved her organized and professional approach to helping us furnish our new apartment. She spent time getting to know us and understanding the style/aesthetic we were going for. We were able to get mostly everything done in under 6 months and we are so pleased with how everything came out. I would recommend Ali to anyone as I have full confidence that she can turn any space into something truly special. We are so happy in our new home!

Ali is top notch! I would recommend her for any project -- large or small! She's very talented. This was my first experience working with a professional designer so I was unsure of my own personal style and was wary of taking on a project that would swell beyond my budget. Ali helped me pinpoint my own style and helped me find what I was looking for even when I couldn't visually describe it. She always provided a range of options (both in price and look) and took my feedback into account. She can flex very well to help accomplish any look -- from sleek and modern to more traditional. Two other really important points when working with a designer that Ali does well: she was extremely conscientious about our budget and is very responsive. She always offered items in different price categories and would help me figure out when to splurge vs. when something from Target would work just as well. She made the buying process very easy by staying responsive and very communicative.

When my boyfriend and I bought our first apartment, we decided to make an investment in decorating our new home but had no idea where to begin. We didn't even have a clear vision of what style we wanted to go with, and often disagreed about which direction to take. Looking back, hiring Alison was the best decision we made! She worked with us to understand both of our styles, while also bringing interesting and creative ideas to the table. Not only does she have a great eye and can bring a beautiful vision to life, but she is also efficient, organized, and communicative. Alison made the design process fun and exciting, while also helping us get the project done in a timely manner and within budget. Beyond that, she is a pleasure to work with!! I am so, so happy with our new space and know that we could not have done it without her!

We loved working with Alison! I can't say enough good things about the experience. She is thoughtful, a good listener, and a consummate professional. Alison worked with us to realize our vision of what we were hoping to achieve in our home design. This has been a true collaboration (though to be honest, everything we've purchased was found by Alison).

I cannot say enough good things about Alison. I reached out to her while my husband and I were renovating our Brooklyn townhouse in 2016. While I initially only wanted help picking out tiles for our bathrooms, Alison quickly took on the role of project manager and has been instrumental in moving the whole project forward. She is incredibly detail-oriented and quick to respond to all emails. She has excellent taste, but more importantly she really listens to her clients and has an amazing eye for making homes feel more like "them" and less like "her." I really can't recommend her highly enough.

Alison was the best designer I have ever worked with. My fiancé and I never lived together and were concerned as we have different styles. Alison was able to help us find a style that both of us loved. Alison was very patient with us and helped us through all of our decisions from choosing the right curtains to where our plants should go. She designed the whole apartment , which we absolutely love! We highly recommend Alison for both small and big projects.

I was very happy working with Alison, and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I found Alison to be accessible, responsive to all emails or text messages, and flexible in terms of the times that we set for meetings. I feel that Alison really listens to me and is quick to “get where I am coming from” when I try to explain things that I like and don’t like. She truly gets excited when we find something that fits my needs and had really positive energy every time we met. Alison has a really good eye for what goes together and the transformation of my apartment has been dramatic. Overall, working with Alison has been great and I have no doubt that future clients will feel the same way

I had a wonderful experience with Ali! She helped me decorate my first apartment last fall. As a first time homeowner looking to graduate away from dorm room decorations, Ali was great in helping me figure out what my style is and really listened to styles that I liked and didn't like. Ali was considerate of both my design and budget and was willing to search until we found all the right pieces no matter how big or small. All in all it was a great experience and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I have only positive things to say about Alison's work! She is so friendly and really took the time to listen and find out what our style was. Once she got to work, she was so efficient with her time! I was very impressed with the fact that she was able to work quickly while maintaining a strong attention to detail and quality of design. I'm planning on requesting to work with her again later this year because she is amazing!

Ali Reeve did an exceptional job in helping my wife and I redo several design elements in our living room and kitchen. She was extremely helpful in taking our own input and ideas and weaving them in to her vision. In particular she pointed out several areas where we weren't utilizing our space efficiently and helped us pick out several pieces of furniture that not only were eye-pleasing but also instrumental in helping us stay better organized. She was also very flexible about our budget, presenting us numerous options for each piece so that we could better decide how to focus our resources. Ali helped us source some very unique pieces from an antique wholesaler, and ensured that we wouldn't have a "cookie cutter" design. Perhaps most importantly, she's very easy going and a pleasure to work with - and when you invite someone in to your home and solicit their opinions, that's very important! Overall I'd highly recommend Ali as an interior designer - great vision, very organized, thoughtful, responsive and friendly!
