About Us

STUDIO SF was established in the Spring of 2018 by Sharon Finkle. As an experienced landscape designer, Sharon is passionate about revitalizing natural landscapes and creating unique residential spaces. STUDIO SF brings Sharon’s 21 years of experience in residential landscape design together with her extensive knowledge in garden design and specialty in Mediterranean plants. She enjoys the entire process of creating a design with her clients. From the conceptual design phase & construction documentation, to the collaboration with landscape contractors and crew on the project installation. STUDIO SF is able to guide the project from start to finish. Growing up in Willow Glen, California, Sharon took to drawing & gardening early at a very young age. Through mentorship from her neighbors and family, she studied a variety of plant species, and design techniques from local landscape architects. Sharon continued on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Sharon is the best landscape designer ever! If you see her work, it's incredible how she transforms yards, front lots, and more into works of art. Highly recommend her and advise to invest in someone who really knows their stuff vs someone who might just do subpar work.

My husband and I asked for Sharon's help with designing our backyard garden. She was exceptional! She responded timely, and she was easy to reach. She had great ideas for us and was very helpful with excellent suggestions for design of the fence and the plantings. We had such a wonderful experience with Sharon at Studio SF. After meeting with several landscape architects we were not thrilled with the design proposals. Once we met with Sharon it was an easy decision; she listened and really took the time to understand our vision and what we were looking for. After one meeting, we were impressed with her ability to come up with a design concept that perfectly captured what we envisioned. Throughout the process Sharon was thorough, timely, and kind. She was always prepared and had a wealth of knowledge. Sharon helped guide us through several decisions and we are thrilled with the outcome. We 100% would recommend Studio SF and feel lucky that we were given the opportunity to work with Sharon.

Sharon is the consummate professional!! She is easy to work with, reliable, has excellent ideas, looks for the best value for $$ spent and meets every deadline. Additionally, Sharon has a deep knowledge of landscaping design coupled with a truly artistic eye. We have received many compliments on her amazing work on our residential project. Additionally, I have to say that in my professional career I worked with many designers (landscape, architecture, interior design) on commercial projects. Sharon is easily among the top 5% of people/firms that I worked with over the past 25 years. Her talent, knowledge, organizational skills, her willingness to go the extra mile, her attention to the big picture as well as the details, and her reliability to meet deadlines are all A+ I would highly recommend her for both residential and commercial landscape design projects.

Early last year, we decided to do a complete transformation of our property. Our children are now grown and we no longer needed a swing set, basketball court, etc. Sharon from Studio SF was recommended by a friend and when we met her, we knew we were in good hands. She was able to translate our vision into a reality through her artistic sense, landscaping and plant expertise. The plans Sharon created were beautiful. She also found the landscaper for us to do all the work, who also turned out to be excellent - so much so that a couple of our neighbors hired him to do work on their property when they finished with us. We have the highest regard for Sharon and Studio SF - you can't go wrong here.
