Waunakee Remodeling

Waunakee Remodeling performed an extensive renovation of our 50-year-old home in the Madison area. Four bedrooms with associated closets, four baths, two accessory rooms, a living room, a hallway, and a stairway were renovated. All four baths were fully deconstructed and rebuilt. New wood flooring was installed in all the remaining rooms and closets. Electrical services and lighting were updated. Waunakee’s crews, including design, deconstruction, carpentry, dry wall, and paint, were top notch; and all staff were professional, skilled, courteous, and tidy. Plumbing, electrical, and wood flooring subcontractors were outstanding and were well coordinated by Waunakee. The tile subcontractor sent different installers for each of the bathrooms. Severe workmanship quality problems were encountered with the tile work in one of the bathrooms and lesser problems were noted in a second. Waunakee worked diligently with the tile subcontractor to ensure the problematic work was torn out and redone to our satisfaction. Overall, we are very well satisfied with the results of the renovation and love living in our updated home. I rate Waunakee Remodeling highly and would certainly work with them again on future projects.

Multiple window replaced with Anderson Windows. Waited 4 months for install and windows were improperly sized. Waited for remeasure and new install date. Luckily a cancellation opened up 5 weeks later. Windows were installed. 2 windows are a little loose and 1 window whistles in high wind (not properly installed?).Went with highest bid to get quality install. Silly me. 7 months to finish project. Too long and not the value I expected.

We just finished having a new bay window installed. Dylan and Josh and Blake arrived right on time Dylan explained the process and did a 5 STAR job and we are very happy. THANKS AGAIN.

We had a new patio door and huge picture window replaced. All was done in a professional and timely matter.

Work was completed on schedule. Crew cleaned up after project was complete & rehung window treatments. Crew member looked at former project & did a quick fix-it up!

Earlier this year (2016), I contracted Waunakee Remodeling to update my kitchen with flooring, countertops, gas installation, new sink, plumbing and major appliances. Consulting with Project Manager Ken Fennewald and Project Consultant Chad Trimble, we set out a plan for getting the job started, continued and completed. Starting: Floor plans were drawn, appliances/sink/faucet/countertops were chosen, scheduling was implemented and supplies ordered. Continuing: Gas piping, flooring, countertops, sink and plumbing were installed. Completion: Carpentry (wood-working and finishing details), inspection and final nit-picking adjustments. They went way above my expectations to complete the job smoothly and on-time. I totally recommend Waunakee Remodeling and the subcontractors.

The two men who installed new windows and a new patio door in our house were professional, timely, respectful, and extremely pleasant to work with. They stuck to their timeline and kept us up-to-date on what they were installing when. They were not satisfied with the installation of the patio door after they finished due to it projecting slightly further passed the siding than they liked, so they came back an extra day and completely redid it. Cleaned up after themselves and were very helpful with showing features of the windows and doors and how to operate them and maintain them. I would definitely hire this company again for any future large remodeling projects.

They installed a Provia entry door in my home. Installation was excellent, and they came back to fix a minor problem with no issue. Recommend with no reservation.

After almost one year of planning, they made us wait almost two months after we had a signed contract, then suddenly they decided there was not enough profit in our project to make it worth their while so they made up a totally lame excuse about a some misunderstanding about window sizes, even though the window sizes we talked about had ALWAYS remained the same from the very start, AND were clearly spelled out in the contract THEY drafted. Anyway, they just decided 'out of the blue' to up and cancel our signed contract. Nice huh! By then the weather had also turned cold and snowy, for which they clearly didn't plan well for due to all the outside work involved. They also apparently had gotten really busy with additional other, easier, and more profitable jobs (truly, this is pretty much what they told us); and, so they just upped and sent back our deposit and cancelled our entire remodel job. Just left us hanging, without any remorse at all. Unbelievable is all we can say! And, we thought these guys were supposed to be the professional ones - NOT. Lesson learn, you can't trust Waunakee Remodeling!

We had them replace a bay window. They were informative, quick and great to work with. I will use them again in the future.

Overall, good job- new siding and carpentry work to change a window and entry design. Had to call them back to fix a siding problem- should have been done correctly the first time and was quite noticeable. However, they returned promptly to fix and we were pleased. We will consider using them again for future projects. The carpentry department is excellent.

We've had Waunakee Remodeling work on our house several times, and the experience has been fantastic. They replaced all the windows in our house, and what a difference! Not only was the product fantastic (cut our energy bills, absolutely no traffic noise and beautiful windows) but the crew is efficient, polite and very skilled. The firm is now replacing the siding on our home, and it is a pleasure to work with them. The price is right, the consultation was informative and scheduled very conveniently. I know the work will be completed promptly with the highest skill. We wouldn't hire any other company to work on our house--they're that good!
