These intricacies intermingle to create a unique experience for every viewer. I appreciate that Derek views his own work as highly interpretive. Some individuals see shapes and even images in his works. For me, the color palette chosen for each piece illustrates different moods, an element that I feel all people universally have in common. “Becka painted the mural outside my business and it was a successful project. She took my concept and brought it to life. She is very professional and had good communication throughout. It was hot outside, the location of the mural is right on the highway and it was a somewhat large image. Her work was wonderful and her attitude was positive. Thank you Becka!”

“I used the critter tiles with blue backgrounds in my backsplash, as an accent border amid plain white ceramic tiles. My cabinets are dark blue, my countertop is white quartz, and the effect is striking. Everything else is pretty basic, sensible long-lasting choices. The tiles from Clayworks add a welcome element of the local and handmade. All the critters live in Texas, half of them in my neighborhood. I love them and so does everyone who comes into my kitchen!”
