Lasser Metalworks got its start as I tirelessly searched for a quality and unique pot rack for my kitchen. Never finding something that I truly loved, I set off to design and make my own. Through trial and error, I was able to create a one-of-a-kind rack that not only became the focal point of my kitchen but also provided practical & usable space for all those pesky pots & pans. Just imagine all the cupboard space those pots and pans take up! As a user of my own product, I am 100% committed to customer satisfaction and service. Please take a look at what Lasser has to offer and if you don't see a product, style or size that fits your exact needs, contact me personally so that we can create something together! Andrew

We create beautiful night skies... Indoors. Night Sky Murals started out as a desire to create (only for myself) a night sky, like the one I'd grown up sleeping under in the redwoods of Central California on summer camping trips. After years of trial and error, the night skies I painted actually started looking good. Friends saw the night sky and wanted one too. Then their friends saw theirs and wanted one. After drowning in paperwork of the mortgage industry that I found myself in... and wanting desperately to get out, I decided that if as many people as it seemed loved the night sky as I did.... then maybe there was a market for what I was starting to perfect. So, I started Night Sky Murals. Night Sky Murals is NOT plastic stars. It is not cartoonish looking, with large planets and galaxies. What I do is recreate, as closely as possible, the look and feel of a real night sky like you would see high up in the mountains on a moonless night, or possibly far out at sea on a cruise ship. I use a special mixture of glow paint to paint the stars that are virtually invisible (in the light) on ceilings that are painted with light colors, and are somewhat visible (in the light) on darker colors. But, in the dark... the mural comes to life and, when the room is really dark, you aren't looking at a ceiling with glow paint on it... you are looking at a real night sky (at least that's what I've been told). I am also told constantly that the 3D effect is amazing and that the stars actually twinkle. When asked how I get them to do that... I just say it's a trade secret. when in actuality it is probably more of a combination of the glow paint doing what it does and the person's eyes (rods and cones in the eyes) doing what they do. So... to summarize, we take plane, ordinary ceilings and use them as a canvas for our night skies. On a light colored ceiling you usually can't even detect the murals when the lights are on. In the dark, you will swear that your ceiling has been removed and you are looking out into space from some dark location on the planet.

Montoya Menageries manufactures faux floral/branch vase arrangements intended for interior and/or event decorating refered to as a Montoya Menagerie, Montoya Menageries are unique for the way in which they incorporate lights and colorful vase filler (i.e. glass gems) and there is no known local competitor providing similar home deco end-use arrangements. The general trend in interiror decorating, despite being very unpredictable due to the subjective nature which factors into pricing and overall appeal, is that the industry is quicikly increasing in size and reach and because there is no known competitor coupled with the fact that Montoya Menageries utilizes materials from discount chains and local businesses and passes the savings on to clients, makes Montoya Menageries very viable in the long-run.

Ancient civilizations mastered the technique of representing their lives two-dimensionally, as evidenced in their cave paintings and relief sculptures. While recognizably capturing the goings-on of their societies, they began the tradition of abstraction, where an object is formally defined. When viewed, these artifacts possess a curious ambiguity due to the removal of context created by the passage of time. I use representational figures in the same way: as vehicles through which to study color and line while referencing the world they depict. I begin with a sanded layer of National Geographic pages that lay a foundation rich with texture and subdued colors. Next, I build a framework of geometric and organic line that both organizes the texture and provides a skeletal structure to support the culminating coat. Washes of acrylic paint build to produce a matrix of collaborating colors, while the varying transparency ties all three layers together in contrasting depth.

Modern and contemporary art: wall art, floor sculptures, clocks and much more! Materials include wood, steel, aluminum, copper & bronze. Nothing screams ‘modern’ like the crisp metallic shine of a large wall panel boldly painted with sharp colors in a creative design. The focal point of your room should be an eye-catching piece that naturally draws attention to itself and captivates those lucky enough to view it. At ModernAbstractDecor.com we have made it our primary objective to create these modern artistic masterpieces (right here in the USA) and provide your space with the spark it needs.
