“We had planned to peruse various cabinet possibilities in various towns "for fun" on a cold February day here in Northern Indiana. We passed Ayr's on our way into one of the towns we had planned to visit . . .it was our first, and only, stop! Not only were we taken by the quality of craftsmanship in the show room (which was under construction at the time), but we were able to peruse various styles. We saw "our cabinets" in the second room we entered . . .and knew that we were going to do an unplanned kitchen. Designer James Yoder was available to meet us, and we made plans to meet in our kitchen to get an idea of what we could do. James put us in contact with an excellent flooring company, who in turn put us in contact with an excellent contractor. Voila! We had our team. We decided to do the kitchen during four months that we had planned to be far away. James provided us with preliminary and detailed plans within a couple of weeks, and added items to our vague ideas that showed a quick perception, timely communication, practicality and a refined sense of balance and design. Off we went . .. to a location 2500 miles away. We left a key for the team, they came and went, sent updates and photos, and finished a breathtaking kitchen prior to our return . . right on time! The centerpiece of the kitchen is the cabinetry, high quality, well mastered and simply beautiful. A friend who works on kitchen design stopped by to see the cabinetry, and her words were: "I have seen much cabintry in my career; (James) knocked this one out of the park. Did I leave the impression that we are thrilled with our cabinets and kitchen? I hope so!”
