Seeing an idea come to life. It is one of the most rewarding sensations we have in our human experience, especially when we can be a part of it. That process of transforming raw materials from an idea into a reality is what makes what I am able to do enjoyable. Growing up around woodworking, I have had a lifelong passion for creating things with my hands. Now with over 15 years in the woodworking profession, I have a wide range of experience in building various pieces that help make your home fit you. With one of my traits being a thinker, I approach every project methodically, pursuing a result of aesthetic appeal and functionality with each design.

Very professional. When I say custom, I mean custom installation. Made sure every detail was perfect. Installed custom cabinets quartz countertop and granite sink! I couldn’t have asked for better! The cabinet finish was the smoothest. I’m not even sure what kind of magic was used on the final fishing of the paint. Would highly recommend.

Joel is an excellent designer and true craftsman who excels in custom designs - in any style. He listened very closely to my visions and made them come to life. Rather than pushing his style, he offers thoughtful input. He has designed and built traditional cabinetry as well as Mid-century Modern cabinetry for my home. His painted finish is flawless, and his stain work is gorgeous. His communication is great and he sticks to his timeline as promised. He is a perfectionist who doesn't miss a detail. Joel is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him.

We contacted Joel at Huguenard Design regarding creating a custom barn door for our new home. We had black walnut lumber from our farm we wanted used for this project. Joel worked closely with us on design and hanging hardware, the finished barn door is fabulous. It is a focal point of our entryway while closing off the utility hallway. Pricing was what we expected to pay for custom work. We would recommend Joel to anyone wanting excellent craftmanship for a custom wood door or other furniture.
