Matt and his team are true and honest professionals. I admire Matt's attention to detail and his genuine interest in delivering top quality service and work. His pricing also happens to be extremely reasonable for the high quality you receive. I called Matt to look at demolishing 2 load bearing walls to give us our open concept kitchen. He came immediately to spec the job and was very forthright and honest about all of our options. Needless to say with Matt's advice he helped us realize our open concept kitchen vision, and we got completely rid of those walls and now have two beautiful (and small) columns to support the ceiling. He did this all in a little under 3 days. Matt's years of experience shine through his sage advice and I will absolutely be working with Matt on all my future projects. In the residential construction/remodel world, integrity and trust are key and I can't recommend Matt enough.

Matthew is an amazing craftsman and a very knowledgeable contractor. We hired Matthew to do a complete gut of the house we bought and redo everything from the ground up. We had a vision of what we wanted and Matthew let us choose all the finishes we waned without having to choose from a select number of suppliers like other contractors we interviewed. He was always available and would answer at odd hours for questions we had. He let us run the design while he worried about the right way to get the job done. We would hire him again if we needed more general contracting. Some of the items he did. Remove a wall to create a great room, demo tile and prepare out of level subfloor for LVT flooring. Demo and remodel two bathrooms. Baseboard throughout home. Move our laundry room from the kitchen to the garage. Misc electrical upgrades.

Matthew and his team went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly with my project. He spent time with my before the work, making sure that he understood what I was looking for. He and his assistant were here every day, on time (or even early)! I felt very comfortable with them in my house. His work was exemplary. I am the owner of a 100 year old house. The primary bathroom's tile was literally falling off the tub enclosure walls. Matthew retiled the enclosure with a beautiful new tile, the look of which fit perfectly to retain the image consistent with the age of the home. We used Matthew's services for two projects at our daughter's 1950's-era, ~900 sq ft house in San Diego, CA. We interviewed a half-dozen highly-rated contractors, but selected Matthew based on his outstanding references, strong knowledge of home-building, and lowest overall price. The first project involved removing a major structural wall, removing a closet, and expanding the kitchen. The remodel turned out great and was completed on-time and within budget. Because of the success of the first project, we turned to Matthew again when we decided to add a ~480 sq ft master bedroom/bathroom addition plus a roof deck to our daughter's house. Matthew worked with us and our architect to ensure the plans were well thought-out and structurally sound. Once the plans were completed, he helped us obtain the necessary permits from the city (not an easy task!). The El Nino rains delayed the start of our project, but Matthew was flexible with the start-date and ready with his crew once the rains subsided. Throughout the project, Matthew was closely involved in all the details and even performed some of the hands-on work himself. As might be expected in an older home, we ran into some challenges (e.g., replacing all the water lines in the house), but Matthew came-up with creative solutions and did the extra work at his cost. For several extra items, he did not even charge us at all! Our daughter is delighted with the remodel and room addition and we are extremely happy with the end-results (including quality, cost, and timeframe). Overall, we had an excellent experience working with Matthew. He is diligent, hard-working, conscientious, honest, and delivers on his promises. Matthew remodeled my master bath and 2nd upstairs bath in just 4 1/2 weeks! His recommendations for cabinetry, counter tops and glass saved me a lot of money. Everything was completed to our satisfaction. Perfect!

My husband and I just bought our first home and we were looking for a reliable and honest contractor. We found a couple local contractors on Houzz, but by far, Matthew's quote was the best. Since we are new to being homeowners, Matthew answered every single question we had. He and his team showed up every single day converting our home into our dream home. My husband and I were very anxious to see what our home would look like, but we trusted Matthew and boy, aren't we happy! He went above and beyond to make our first home a dream home! We had him and his team, completely renovate our downstairs, turning an awkward layout with a bathroom in the living room and weirdly shaped kitchen, to knocking down the bathroom to create an open concept living/kitchen area, he turned a walk-in-closet into a full bathroom and he replaced the carpet upstairs with the same laminate we used downstairs. We found Matthew by doing a local contractor search on Houzz. Matthew came into our house and redid our Kitchen counter tops, custom glass tile backsplash and sink/plumbing. He did a great job, finished in projected time frame and was very clean and paid very much attention to all details and made sure that everything he found was up to code. He then did a complete remodel of our 2 original bathrooms in our 1957 home. He did a really professional job on both, we had custom tile throughout both bathrooms and showers. He was able to get us in contact with a company who custom made our vanities. Matthew is a great communicator and hard worker making sure that everything comes out perfect. He will go above and beyond to make sure it is just right, his attention to detail is spot on. For both showers, he went under our crawl space to redo the plumbing. I cannot emphasize enough how lucky we were to have such an honest, hard working contractor who made the whole process as painless as possible. We have no hesitation to use him again for future work and I will 100% refer him to family and friends.

Matt did a great job on demolition of my old floor and installing a new solid hardwood floor in my condo at a good price. It was definitely a complicated project, I started with another contractor who made mistakes. Fortunately Matt was able to turn around the project and it turned out as good as I hoped. He was easy to work with, definitely treated the job with care like he was his own home, was good at explaining all the work and answering all my questions. He holds himself to very high standards. Definitely would work with him again myself and recommend to others for your home remodeling projects.
