The Constructing Spaces team (CS) recently completed (December 2018) a major renovation to the main floor and kitchen of our house and, based on our experience, we cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very outset, the CS team had a clear and transparent approach to planning, scoping and budgeting and they readily answered and discussed all our (many!) questions to ensure we understood everything to our satisfaction. They also made it very clear they were committed to delivering the project on-time and on-budget (which we placed a premium on, as the cost was significant to us and our family had to move out for the duration of the renovation) and ensuring we were happy with the end result. From the planning, through to physical renovation and completion, CS were in constant communication with us (via phone, email/project website or in-person) to both update us on progress and discuss any decision points or questions we had. We can’t understate how important to us this timely communication element was as it provided a high degree of comfort to us by ensuring we were always well-informed and clearly showed that CS truly valued their commitments to us a client. Not unexpectedly, we encountered several unforeseen issues during the project (such as sub-standard installation of some appliances by a sub-contractor) however once we advised CS they responded immediately and these issues were addressed within 24 hours or less. Upon completion of the renovation, the final cost came in slightly under the budget, we moved back into our home on schedule and are now enjoying our beautiful new open-concept main floor and kitchen. Having worked for years in the Oil & Gas capital projects business, we know how difficult it is to finish a project of quality, on budget and on schedule, so kudos to CS for strongly delivering on all three of these aspects!

March of this year we moved into our new house with an undeveloped walkout basement, for us this was an opportunity to build a space that our entire family would enjoy and could connect us to our happy places in the world! From start to finish the Constructing Spaces Team was easy to work with, and accommodating to our family's schedule. The team was able to exceed our expectations working with our budget and creating a beautiful design that utilizes our space to create our favourite space in our house. The Constructing Spaces Team extends beyond the core group and every trade who came into our house was as respectful and professional as we could have asked for. Their finishing speaks for itself and we are beyond happy with the final product and the lifetime of memories we are going to create in our dream space. Arif and his team came out to give us a detailed breakdown quote on everything, and after lots of good advice from them, we decided to engage them to work on a fence (fortress style, 4x6 posts). They brought out a team that was passionate about wood (seriously), professional and timely, and even did some additional work like putting concrete posts upon our request. They cleaned up nicely, the fence door fits like a glove, and I would not hesitate to bring them on again!

I'm so happy my husband and I decided to hire Constructing Spaces for our basement Reno. We were told the entire project would take 7 weeks and they were right on time. That even included a extra project on the main floor. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project. Whenever there was an issue or concern it was addressed professionally and quickly. The entire team is so friendly and really care about giving you quality work. I would not hesitate to hire them again for future renovation's or advice on small projects.

The Constructing Spaces team made sure to cover every aspect of this build, there was no surprises, and that is what I was looking for in a contracting company. I received multiple daily reports of what was going on with my build when I was at work. The communication was great, I was never out of the loop. I would also like to mention that the Constructing Spaces Team treated my house like their own from day one. They threw down floor protection as soon as they walked into my house and did a thorough clean up when they left.
