We were so happy to work with Cornerstone and continue to daily enjoy the excellent workmanship in our home. Allen and team were not only professional, but easy to work with as they went above and beyond. He would clearly present us options as the work progressed and was always available to answer questions. He did a masterful, and timely, job managing all the people that are necessary for a large project. In March, 2025 I signed a contract with Cornerstone Builders to replace all the water pipes in my home plus install updated lighting in two bathrooms and 7 closets. My initial approach to getting this expensive, complicated work done was interviewing individual plumbing and electrician companies. What I soon realized is that these single purpose companies would be daunting to negotiate with if their work was not done correctly or on time. Repiping a home or replacing major lighting is likely done only once in life and these tradespeople are unlikely to suffer from lack of work, so seeing the same plumber or electrician again is unlikely. In other words my opinion and needs would not impose adequate obligation. Hiring Cornerstone to select and manage these subcontractors equalized my standing. Because they might hire them again Allen and Bre could make sure their subcontractors charged a fair price, showed up regularly until the work was completed and corrected the inevitable mistakes that come with projects like this. (These adverse elements have to be expected with any extensive home improvement project. There are too many unknowns and the workers are human.) There was also a qualitative difference in communicating with Allen and Bre. They listen intently and provide well thought out advice drawing from their deep project management experience in remodeling and home construction. What I have described are features that are most valued when a project is underway and reversing course is problematic. Would I hire Cornerstone again for another home project? Absolutely!

This is the second time we have worked with Cornerstone, and once again, they exceeded our expectations! They are professional, knowledgeable, and skilled at what they do. Our kitchen was long overdue for an update, and they transformed it from a dated 1990s space into a stunning mid-century-inspired kitchen. Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and ability to bring our vision to life were outstanding. They stayed on schedule, communicated clearly throughout the project, and made the entire process seamless.

Cornerstone Builders produces excellent results and is great to work with! I would welcome them back without hesitation for any future remodeling projects. Provided with a detailed project plan, that accounted for the delivery times of our selected materials, we were well prepared for what to expect each week. In addition, the project manager Bre proactively reached out with reminders and only a few weather driven adjustments to the schedule. Frequent site visits from both Allen (owner) and Bre to check the quality of work completed, cleanliness of the space, and overall progress met expectations. They were both easy to work with and answered every question or concern we had. By the end of the project they felt like good friends.

Really appreciated the quality, craftsmanship and cleanup from the group at Cornerstone Builders. We remodeled our kitchen, moved a fireplace and tweaked a bunch of different things around the home that had been bothering me - always took the time to consider my input and offered alternatives.

Cornerstone brought back our faith in the Construction industry. They are professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making dreams come true. We hired Cornerstone to remodel our entire 1970’s ranch style home. We are beyond thrilled with the results! There are a few reasons we chose Cornerstone. First, Allen was honest and upfront about how expensive remodeling a home can be. Having not remodeled in over a decade, we were ignorant to the cost and appreciated the dose of reality. Second, Allen came up with an amazing idea for our master bedroom/bathroom within the first few minutes of seeing the room. His design allowed for optimum use of the space and turned out to be the exact look and feel we never thought possible without an room extension. Finally, we liked that Cornerstone is a small locally owned company. We were able to get to know and trust the people that would be in our home. It is apparent that Allen chooses the subcontractors carefully. They were all efficient, friendly, and respectful. We chose to live in the house during remodeling. In hindsight, we underestimated the stress involved and overestimated our patience for the time it takes to remodel a home. Luckily Cornerstone’s Project Manager, Bre, was always available. She handled any concerns, questions, or anxieties that arose with understanding and compassion. This was a long, arduous process that resulted in our dream house. Allen has created a home for us that we never knew we could have. We are beyond satisfied!

I hired Cornerstone to rebuild my side patio and add a swing. I was extremely pleased with the results! Allen and his team were very professional and courteous. I would definitely hire them again!

My husband and I hired Cornerstone Builders, Inc to remodel both bathrooms in our 1950s ranch home. We had a vision of what we wanted and Allen was able to guide us through the design, fixture, and tile selection to make our vision a reality. We had been told by other builders that what we wanted wasn't feasible or wouldn't be worth the cost. Each bathroom is less than 30 sq ft in size which presented challenges with fixture selection however they always figured out a solution to the problem without sacrificing the design or quality of materials. The construction went well, we were kept informed on schedule changes which were mostly due to county inspection delays. As part of the remodel we also had all the plumbing replaced in the house and their sub-contractor did a great job with that. We are both pleased with the end result and would highly recommend them.

Superior craftsmanship and design, attention to detail, outstanding attention to client's goals, courteous and conscientious staff: these descriptions characterize my experience with Cornerstone Builders. My remodel was quite extensive and included a new kitchen and living area, wall removal, new woodwork through the house and a new fireplace wall with built-ins. I always felt respected and was treated with the utmost courtesy. I especially appreciated the thorough and clear explanations given when something did not go as planned, which is a given in any remodel. The entire team works hard, is always on time, and leaves a nearly spotless worksite at the end of the day. This is a company of talented individuals who operate with integrity and care, not just for the project, but for the client as well. This in itself is priceless.

I recently had a complete home remodel and Allen impressed me right away when he came out to look over the property and give me a bid. He asked questions, some I hadn't even thought about, that other bids did not. He had a lot of information that helped me make decisions about what I wanted. For the area I'm in and size of the project, his bid was very reasonable as well. The work was fantastic. In particular, the cabinet maker and tile contractor were standouts. Allen was very knowledgable and helpful throughout the process. His construction crew was skilled, polite, and efficient. I would definitely use Cornerstone again in the future.

Cornerstone Builders is simply the best contract building company we have ever contracted with. We needed to add a main floor master bedroom and bath so we found Cornerstone had aging-in-place certification. Allen, the owner, and his designer, Chris, listened carefully and offered different solutions for the new room. It took a few design iterations to add in other requests like an additional small full bath and a redesign of a laundry area, but, in the end, we were very happy with the result. When some unexpected issues arose, Allen was always very responsive, and his team immediately worked to resolve problems. Zoe, Ian, and Rodney were friendly, hard-working, and very professional in their work ethic. Allen's tile, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and cabinet subcontractors were expert craftsmen, professional, and responsible, which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Cornerstone Builders for any remodel and addition project. We will be using them in the future for other smaller projects. We now live almost exclusively on our main floor, with no more stairs to have to worry about. The master addition is just lovely, the new deck is gorgeous, the laundry area is perfect, and I love having an extra bathroom for guests! Thank you, Cornerstone.

We had a great experience with Allen and his team on our kitchen remodel and would highly recommend using Cornerstone for home remodeling. Allen is a good listener and doesn't push his own ideas - he let us shape the design of our kitchen and provided his professional opinion where needed and when requested. My wife really wanted a huge island.. Allen was a bit apprehensive, but he rolled with it. The design renderings matched exactly what we had described verbally, which was great - didn't require lots of iterations to get it right. We found him and his team to be very trustworthy, respectful, professional and they took pride in their work. The tile guys were outstanding, as was his electrician. We needed to harvest and reuse some of the flooring to accommodate the different kitchen layout, as our existing flooring is not available any more.. the flooring guys did an outstanding job - you can hardly tell where they patched. Zoe and Ian were really great - nice, friendly guys who do excellent work and make sure to clean up afterwards. The cabinet design lady nailed it, but we had a few glitches with getting all the cabinets completed satisfactorily and to our design spec, but got there in the end. For appliances, Allen had us work with Ferguson. The communication and responsiveness from Ferguson was not very good, so it took several back-and-forth emails and time to get all the information for us to make a decision. In the end, our kitchen looks fantastic and is perfectly functional for our family. The 4 star rating only reflects that there were a few issues (albeit minor) along the way - I reserve 5 stars for a perfect experience with no issues. We do have a major issue with our range, although this isn't a reflection on Cornerstone.. In the end we were recommended to get a 48" all-gas Dacor, and it didn't work well at all. It's probably the worst performing oven I've ever used (and I've used a lot). After 3 months of back and forth we are finally getting it replaced with a dual-fuel version, but that requires some electrical re-work. Ferguson really came through in the end with switching the range out, but it has taken a long time, and has been quite a frustrating experience. Thankfully, Allen, Zoe and his electrician came back to help coordinate the swap and do all the necessary work - great customer support and focus from Cornerstone.

The team at Cornerstone Builders are not your average contractor. They make sure that things are done the right way, not the cheap way, or fast way. They are responsive, honest and are great at their job. I am so grateful I am to have his expertise on my project! Thank you Allen!

I'm an Interior Designer, and I hired Cornerstone to do my own home. It was a complete gut and remodel. They were efficient, courteous, and their work was solid. I definitely threw some curve balls during the process, but they didn't falter! I also appreciated that they respected me as a design professional and didn't bulk if I gave them unusual directives.

I have been extremely wishy-washy regarding our budget but Allen has shown immeasurable patience assisting me in making (and making changes to) our finish selections...and always with a positive, cheerful attitude. Best contractors I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I just moved from California and my house needed a lot of work. I have been in real estate for over 20 years with some 60 projects or so under my belt from simple bathroom remodels to complete commercial build-outs from scratch. So I took my time and was very diligent about screening contractors. Cornerstone fit the bill perfectly. They held my hand from planning and design and followed up right through finish details. All this handled remotely while I was in California at first, and right up until I got settled in. They even worked it out so we could stay in the house and move in while they were working. Allen even helped me get plugged into the community and helped me find my way around. I'm sure everyone is thinking this must have cost a fortune and this is too good to be true. Surely that is not a lie. Cornerstone was not the cheapest, but they were very reasonably priced. That is subjective to everyone, so let me quantify my statement. Out of the 9 contractors I interviewed and got quotes from, Allen and Cornerstone were the 3rd best priced. That does not mean he skimped on parts or workmanship. Every detail was covered, the work was timely, he helped me sort out those inevitable problems that arise in a job as big as mine, and his crew was professional to the tee - friendly to boot. Ok, so let's cover the things that didn't work out because everyone reading this is thinking I'm full of it and this is too good to be true. Sure there were problems, but Cornerstone handled them beautifully. There were beams in the living room that couldn't be removed like we had originally planned, but he told me we would have to confirm whether we could or not from the beginning anyway. So it turned out we couldn't, but it wasn't a surprise, thanks to Allen. We found a work around anyway. And the carpet was late. I couldn't possibly blame that on Allen who worked tirelessly to get it here as soon as possible. I blame the manufacturer reps who kept telling us it would get here in two days (over and over). We ended up getting it a few weeks later, but it got here only three days later than if we had ordered a different brand. Allen's advice was sound and it was worth the wait for a much better product even though we were both frustrated with the manufacturer's inconsistent delivery. And the last bit of trouble was cabinet pulls which I had to wait for a bit longer. No sweat, though because I was the one who counted them wrong and short-ordered. It didn't help that I changed my mind about having pulls instead of knobs in my bathroom at the last minute. Not Cornerstone's fault. Now with the complete explanation of all the things that went wrong, if this is a deal-killer for you, the reader, than with all due respect your expectations of contractors is completely, over-the-top unrealistic. Cornerstone was undoubtedly the best I've had the honor of working with in the past 22 years. I basically remodeled and updated my entire 3100SF house. Redesigned and laid out a new kitchen from scratch, moved the dining room and family rooms, hardwood floors and all the carpets, a completely redesigned master bath with steam unit and floor-to-ceiling glass doors, interior paint, exterior paint, lighting and electrical throughout, the list keeps going... But the biggest thing for me in finding a good contractor is trust. Cornerstone is good on their word. Sure they gave me everything in writing, but I stopped reading anything after my third change order. Didn't have to since everything checked out time and again. Allen invariably came through on his word. If you still aren't convinced, our job came in cheaper than expected and on time. He didn't have to tell me - I never would have known. That's called having pride in work and honesty in business. It's very rare these days. It's important to go with who you trust. Still, when you come across a gem like Cornerstone, it's wise to at least check them out.

I contacted three companies for an overhaul of my entire house, and Cornerstone came up with the best design for my kitchen, which included moving a window I wouldn't have thought to move. I ended up redoing the entire kitchen, getting built-ins and a new fireplace surround in the family room, replacing the carpet in the living-dining area with hardwood, replacing most other carpet in the house, and repainting almost the entire house, for less than I expected. There were no major problems and any minor issues (mostly paint touch-ups) were resolved immediately, with minimal impact to the schedule. I have two small children, a dog, and a husband who was not 100% on board with the project. Allen and his team were really patient and great to work with. My husband says it turned out much better than he thought it would, and is now the one dragging ME to the home stores for new rugs and kitchen supplies.

Everyone at Cornerstone is super friendly. I know because I've been taking pictures of their jobs as well as group portraits for Christmas. And I know too from talking with their clients that they're happy clients. Every home I photograph for Cornerstone is meticulously finished and built. Working with Cornerstone now for a number of years and have to say I've seen their work just blossom from a simple to a more designed look. Sophisticated, timeless and well built. Doesn't get much better than that.

Cornerstone Builder Inc. was my go-to contractor when we decided to open our retail store. Allen and all of the Cornerstone employees took the time to understand our style and overall project goals. We couldn't be happier with the results. They did all of the demo, installation of the shiplap, barndoor, and even created an office for us. Cornerstone Builders remodeled our kitchen. My husband and I highly recommend them. They do very high quality work and are committed to staying on schedule. They were very patient with us as we made decisions on backsplash, tile, etc. We have family and friends telling us they feel like we have a new home.

Quality: I am very happy with the quality or Cornerstone Builders' work. I felt that attention to detail was good - when we mentioned points of concern - they addressed and corrected. Their workmanship was superior - as if it were their own home. Price: The price was appropriate for what I was looking for - I did not feel as if I was pushed in a direction that I was not comfortable - they presented multiple options and ideas. Ultimately, the choice in the quality of materials ended with me, the homeowner, (ex. better quality cabinetry). I appreciated their decision to work with reputable subcontractors. Etc: Only suggestion that I would make is a bit more dialog on the project plan. Maybe an end of week assessment of what was accomplished and the plans for the following week would be an idea for the future. Overall Happiness: I am very pleased with the Kitchen! We remodeled our whole main floor including removal our carpet and slate. Tired of all the dust and dirt from having gross carpet. Put in red oak hardwood floors with a cool finish. Ripped out dividing wall between dining in and kitchen to make a "great room "effect. We expanded the kitchen by about 6". Gutted and redid wiring. More lighting helped a lot. Put in white cabinets. LED lighting, under cabinet lighting as well as glass doors in 3 locations with back lighting. Glass tile back splash and one wall glass tile to ceiling. Added skylights to the living room. New front door. New staircase, handrail and spindles. Hardwood steps and painted faces. Replaced dining room and hallway chandeliers and put in new glass pendants in kitchen.

Cornerstone did a great job building our new bedroom/bathroom addition. They were wonderful to work with and if there were any problems (there always are with construction) they took care of them right away. I highly recommend them for any job you have. We will be calling back when it's time to do our other bathrooms.

Allen and his team did a great job on our kitchen remodel and I would highly recomend them to anyone looking to do a kitchen remodel to there home or investment property. We had a closed kitchen and cornerstone offered us a design to update our kitchen as it was before or something a little more creative. I am extremely pleased with the work completed by Cornerstone Builders and their contractors. I was always able to talk with the workers, and they were always very friendly. The owner is fabulous and wants perfection on the job, you have to love that. Though it took a little longer than first thought, we love it. . But then again we were adding 2000 square feet. That doesn't happen overnight. I would use Cornerstone Builders first, if I had another project to complete. Love the addition and the new garage.

We have used Cornerstone Builders twice, a year apart. First year, major kitchen work. Second year, three bathrooms, a laundry room and family room. These included quartz counter tops, cabinets, oak flooring, tile work, plumbing and electrical, sheet rock, etc. The site was cleaned daily and Allen, the owner, made sure everything was on time and on budget; he was great to work with. If we had anything left to do, we would certainly use Cornerstone again. TB
