I have worked with Reggie for over a decade. He is a family man, honest, professional and respected in the local business community. Additionally he is customer orientated and his team puts out an excellent product.

The new key team came out to do some smaller projects and while working examined my home and found some significant dry rot which they also repaired. Very high quality work, great communication.

New Key Construction, under the direction of Reggie Keding, just completed two bathroom remodels and a new entry at my home. Reggie has developed and uses a process that ensures excellence in construction and delivery. He is clear about the proposed work in great detail, so there are no surprises. Noah Lopez, my excellent project manager, kept everything on track according to the schedule, ensured all work was completed properly and completely supported me, as the customer, every step of the way. Having such a vast skillset and experience, Noah was able to clearly direct all trades to ensure construction flowed in a seamless manner. The supervisors and all of the people working in my home were extremely professional and respectful of the fact that I was living in the house during construction. Daily communication from Noah was clear and expectations well-managed. I highly recommend this company, who also completed an outstanding staircase remodel for me previously. Once again, they delivered on time with excellent quality. A company like New Key Construction, that lives up to their high standards, is very rare.

I am 100% satisfied with everything from the planning phase of my remodel to the finishing stages of construction. Not a single day went by without work being done. The quality of the employees and attention to detail is far above that of your average “contractor.” It was top quality all the way. It was a remodel without any trouble or worry, as New Key took care of everything. The tradesmen were friendly and the communication was excellent. My project manager Noah really brought my vision to life in a timely manner. New Key sets the standard.

We worked with New Key Construction to remodel our backyard workshop and transform it into a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom ADU for my parents to retire and live in. New Key did an absolute outstanding job and we are so happy we chose them for one of the largest investments we've ever made. - Quality Work - Reggie and his team do quality work; they do not cut corners, and they will always lean to do things the right way that is safe, compliant, and functional. You can feel the quality when you walk around; there is a meticulousness to the work that is hard to find anywhere else. - Project Planning - We were assigned a project manager and a foreman who kept us updated very frequently on the state of construction. The work was completed on-time if you account for the realities of construction which were largely due to supply delays and/or the occasional coordinate of some competing work. To convert a workshop (where we literally stripped it down) to a livable, high-quality ADU in 5 months is impressive! Also, they showed up on-time every day and if they were going to be late (or not come), we would be told. - Culture - Everyone that works at New Key Construction was a pleasure to work with; they hire people who care about the work they are doing and make an effort to get to know you. We could tell the employees enjoyed working at New Key, and it shows in the work. We looked at several companies before choosing New Key. I wholeheartedly will say it was worth it - you get quality work, quality communication, a 10-year warranty, and people who legitimately care about you and your home. You won't regret it!

New Key Construction add a new bedroom and a full bathroom to our home. This was a dream of ours. Now our home has 2 bathrooms. New Key Construction’s team was great to work with. Since the beginning of the planning to the end. I am glad that I upgraded to get a tile bathroom. I appreciated the suggestions they provided. It has been over a month since we move to our new room and we love it.

I loved working with New Key Construction to remodel my kitchen and dining room. The owner, Reggie, was incredibly professional and walked me through the entire process. He understood my timeline and completely managed my expectations. They have a fantastic app that is very easy for a homeowner to track and make progress payments. This was great as I am very busy. Reggie was courteous and detailed and as an interior designer, I really appreciated this. New Key's Project Manager, Elle, was a rock star! She was on top of each and every detail and kept me informed throughout the process - she was very communicative and let me know when subs would be arriving, what to expect, etc. They had a very efficient process with the punch list. She always dealt with any construction issues (they always come up, let's be real) with incredible professionalism and speed. Working in this business, I've worked with many contractors and couldn't be happier with my decision to work with Reggie and his team!

After researching and interviewing several local contractors in the Pleasant Hill area, we chose to work with Reggie and the New Key Construction team to complete our kitchen remodel and update the flooring in the main areas of our house. From the start, Reggie was responsive and thoughtful in his approach to our scope of work and dedicated a lot of time to thoroughly review our wishlist, budget, and timeline as the project took shape. He was open, honest and realistic in every conversation and made us feel comfortable and ready for the work ahead. Elle was our Project Manager and did a terrific job organizing the build schedule and juggling all of the moving pieces from start to finish. Even with covid-related material delays, she pushed hard to keep our project on track and stayed in constant contact with all of the vendors and contractors involved. She was quick to flag any issues that came up, explore solutions when needed, and took the time to make sure we were happy as the project progressed. She and Reggie were receptive to feedback and accountable when issues arose (fortunately, all were relatively minor). It is evident that the New Key Construction team has a great working relationship with their subcontractors. All of the subs were friendly, timely, clean, and produced high-quality work. Having lived in the house while the work was completed, we could see first-hand that no corners were cut and nothing was overlooked! As an added bonus, they utilize the Buildertrend platform, which made it easy to track our finances, view when specific work was scheduled, and stay aligned on change orders. It is obvious that Reggie and New Key take pride in their work and truly want what’s best for their clients. We had a great experience and love our new kitchen and floors!

New Key Construction is awesome. I had them over to replace all of the trim on my house and I couldn't be happier. They are the epitome of a professional company. Very responsive and I felt like they really were trying to take care of me and my house. They weren't just there to get a job done, they were there to get the job done right. I bought an older home in Concord and moved in only to discover, during an easy re-flooring project with New Key Construction, that the old owner improperly installed appliances when I purchased that led to months and months of water damage in my kitchen! I was panicked - we had already spent a lot of money on the house and now we were looking at extensive water damage and mold in two major rooms of our home. Reggie and his team helped me every step of the way. Because we were already working together on my flooring project, I didn't event think about calling anyone else. Reggie helped me coordinate with my insurance company and get the coverage I deserved, and what could have been money out of pocket, got covered and helped me totally rebuild my kitchen (where the water damage was) into a gourmet MASTERPIECE. This kitchen was so outdated when I moved in - I hated it. Now, it's my favorite room in the house and it raised the overall value of my home so much.

After looking for a contractor who would accept nothing less than perfection in his product I found what sounded like the ideal match for my expectations . I received a positive recommendation from my designer who has had the opportunity to work with and observe several in the field. I contacted Reggie about remodeling my kitchen to help us sell our house. He came out and helped us figure out our options. Very nice and professional. Reggie explained he connects with experts in various trades to deliver high quality work. You know, the right crew for demo, drywall, electrical, etc. Due to unanticipated repairs needed at the house I could not go forward with the remodel. Whenever I reached out to Reggie for help with other work he always got back to me promptly. Just yesterday, I told him about an outlet that was dead due to work by a different contractor. With a home inspection scheduled three days out and a cross-country move in a couple weeks I really wanted that outlet fixed asap. Reggie asked his project manager Chad Hancock to contact me. Chad followed up promptly and scheduled an appointment for this morning. Chad said he was sending the best electrician he's ever known. Darryl Haber and his assistant Dean arrived on time. Super friendly guys. They solved the problem in ten minutes! They knew just what to check. I was so relieved! I contacted Chad about payment but out of the goodness of their hearts and love of Jesus they didn't charge me a thing. Their generosity was unexpected and very appreciated. I'm moving out of state so unfortunately I can't give them my business but I encourage anyone looking for help with a project to contact Reggie and his team. Hire the best and get the best!

When we bought our home 3 years ago, it had an open loft at the top of the stairs that at first, we thought was inviting, open and sharing. What we found in our house of 7 people and 3 dogs, was that it was loud, hot, and not all that useful. My home office was in that loft and that made life quite challenging as the Amazon guy would ring the door bell and the dogs go nuts with barking... This year it was one of my goals to close off the loft, but it was really difficult to get a contractor who knew what I was talking about, wasn't booked out until 2022, reasonably priced, and could give an accurate bid and timeline. Reggie & his team were on time, thorough, clean and were excellent in their communication. Now that the loft is finished, I really have no idea how I was able to work before, and having the ability to close the door is priceless. We were 99% of the project finished when the Shelter in Place order happened, so the last 1% will be finished when that is lifted, and according to my real estate appraiser friends, closing off the loft into a usable room has also increased the value of the home. I have no problems recommending New Key Construction, and have done so several times. Great job!

A truly talented craftsman, phenomenal project manager and proactive problem-solver, Reggie is a an absolute gem and a joy to work with.

My Wife and I recently completed a high end remodel of our master bathroom in Alamo. We couldn't be more pleased (See Pictures attached) Reggie Keding and his company New Key Construction were recommended to us by our designer Carol Christenson of First Impressions Interior Design, and her husband Steve Ross owner of Distinctive Cabinetry in Walnut Creek. It seems everyone on our street is doing remodels, construction, this year. Everyone has their share of contractor horror stories. I need to stress you would not be disappointed with Reggie and his crew at New Key. They do what they say they are going to do, are on site when they say they will be there. Reggie runs a job with military precision. Materials are on site before work begins. He lets you know pretty much daily what is to be done that day, goals for the week etc. We were never in the dark about anything, Reggie was always available by phone, text, and e mail, and returned any communication immediately. Reggie and his company get our highest recommendation, it is the only contractor we would use for future jobs. The pictures speak for themselves. We had old glass bricks for shower walls, old cracked shower tiles, an ancient white Formica Vanity, and now we have this wonderful new master bath. Steve G.

Reggie and his fantastic crew just completed our kitchen renovation, and we are over the moon with the result! We bought a rough-looking condo with the knowledge that major reno work was needed. This summer, it was finally time to bite the bullet and have the entire kitchen replaced. I was dreading it, to be honest. I envisioned a drawn-out mess in our home, with stressed out cats, extra expenses, and a complete disruption of my working environment. Boy, was I grateful to be wrong! Reggie worked with us right from the first meeting to discuss our goals, our style, our fears, and especially our budget. He was incredibly flexible with our supply options and made sure that we got the features, appliances, and materials that spoke to us. And then--the moment of truth. After months of planning and ordering, the real fun began. And you know what? It was surprisingly fun! Larry and Sergio, who did the bulk of the work, were amazing from day one. They worked incredibly hard to ensure that we were involved in every decision and understood exactly what was happening at each stage. Every time a complication arose, they were patient and helpful and we navigated the bumps with relative ease. The countertops and backsplash were done by very talented, detail-oriented experts, and all of the components came together like a dream. The best part? They were able to complete our galley kitchen renovation in LESS THAN TWO weeks! We'd already done our floors, which took a full week off the schedule to begin with, but I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was that they pushed so hard to minimize the disruption that renovation brings. Their timing and planning worked out perfectly, and it helped to make us feel like seriously valued clients, and not just another kitchen job. In case I haven't gushed enough, we have received SO very many compliments from everyone who's seen the new kitchen. We couldn't have realized our vision for this space without Reggie and the amazing crew at New Key Construction. I will be whole-heartedly recommending them to anyone who asks. You won't be sorry!

NewKey has been by far the best GC in the Bay area I have ever worked with. From the start of planning, to the coordination with their subs and team members for installs, they have been very detail oriented. As challenges arise which they always do, they actually pick up the phone when you call and work on resolutions within hours not days or weeks! I am thrilled with the progress and would recommend them to anyone. Now that I have a great remodeled kitchen - I look forward to them doing my master bath!
