My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

Noble Builders is a foundation-through-finish general contractor. As a Marin green business and green builder, we pride ourselves on our conscious building style and integrity. We foster an atmosphere to create what our client wants with craftsmanship which results in a successful project for the client. Although primarily a residential remodeler, we have built everything from bathrooms to bridges to new custom homes, award winning hardscape, historic renovation and much more. Throughout our 26 years in business we've had three projects in the prestigious Sunset Magazine, the Marin County Independent Journal, recognized by the Marin County Board of Supervisors for our energy and water conscious construction, as well as many other awards and recognition.

Noble Builders were the contractors for the previous owners of our new home. When I had a question about who worked on my type of cabinets, Kim came out the next morning, on a very rainy day, to help with the problem as well as answering questions about the house that I had wanted to know.

Nobel builders are not just conscientious GREEN contractors, they genuinely care about thier clients and their product outcome. They guide the vision of the homeowner in a very holistic manner. The Nobel touch and talent, style and creativity ultimately adds to the value and even "personality" of the home. Their remodel of 32 Almenar in Greenbrae gave that property prominence and it was snatched up in less than a week against 7 other marketed properties in the same neighborhood at the time.

My experience was much like the most recent one from March 2018. My experience was a disaster. Kim never showed up for any of the three different times he said the job would start. He finally began the project almost two months later. When he submitted a change order at 3x the original estimate for a small job (which eventually cost me much less with another builder), I fired him and paid him for more for the one day of work than I should have. He had completed only a 1/3 of the originally quoted work. His messages to me were nasty and insulting, totally unprofessional. After a year of not hearing from him, he tried to get me to pay by using a collection agency. Beware! I'd use any other builder out there but Kim.

Noble Builders rebuilt the many steps of a long, deteriorated, winding garden path through my hillside yard. In a word, the work was outstanding. Each step of the process, demolition of the old steps; grading and prep for the new; selection and preparation of materials; installation of new steps (wood and stone); final touches and cleanup -- all were done with expertise and care at a level of quality that I expect can last decades. Kim's has vast experience and skill at what he does, and is totally hands on. I was impressed by his problem solving ability, knowledge of local sources for materials, attention to detail, and esthetic eye. He worked long winter and spring hours, taking advantage of every drop of daylight he could. The disturbance of existing plantings in my yard was minimal. I recommend Noble Builders without reservation. For me, it was a bonus to have a contractor who is not only a longtime resident of Corte Madera, but also one who is active in community affairs.

I'm a contractor myself and I've worked on quite a few projects with Kim and Quail. They've been in the business for many many years and they have a wealth of knowledge about all phases of construction. I've learned a lot from Kim and Quail along the way and I would work along with them any day. Aside from quality in design, craftsmanship, and customer service you'll be gaining a pair of wonderful friends with the opportunity to build a lasting relationship for all your construction needs in the future.

Noble Builders has done general home maintenance for us for the last 10 years, plus significant projects such as house painting (2012) , bathroom remodel (2009), and roof reconstruction (early 2016). We are very happy with the quality of their design and build work. They stand behind their work and are flexible and offer practical suggestions when plans need to change due to circumstances beyond their control.
