We had an outstanding experience working with OnlyBasements on the full gut renovation of our basement in Toronto. The scope of the project included underpinning to achieve 8-foot ceilings, upgrading all electrical & plumbing systems, relocating the furnace, and updating the ducts. My family recently had our basement renovated and I have to say, it was an amazing transformation! The team at Only Basements were great to work with. They helped us with the design and drawings we need for underpinning permit to increase the height of our basement as the original height was barley 6 feet. The impact of the underpinning was beyond what I expected! We have slightly over 8 ft now so I’m very pleased with how it turned out. Our project manager Ray worked hard to ensure the job was done on time and with attention to detail. I also appreciate the good communication he provided. The finishing team took over after underpinning was completed. They were very quick, efficient, and punctual. The Flooring and carpentry was also done beautifully. Overall a great experience and we extremely recommend them!

We truly had a great experience with Only Basements and happy to write this review. My family moved into our current house a few years ago and we knew that we needed to underpin and finish the basement at some point to fully maximize our space. After much deliberation and a lot of contractors coming in and giving us their proposal and pricings, we decided to put our trust in Only basements and move forward with them. From the get go they were different from the other companies, their quote was very detailed and easy to understand, a milestone payment plan was provided (this was a game changer for us!). After they helped us get our permits in place the job started almost immediately. It’s always nerve racking going through a renovation and I have heard the nightmares people have had, but our experience was quite the opposite, my wife and I felt that we were involved in the process and our input was always appreciated. The time line of the whole project went slightly over schedule, but there were some changes on our end that contributed to this as well. We have now a great additional space that used to be storage and with the great ceiling height it doesn’t even feel like basement anymore! Thanks again to Joseph and everyone on his team!
