Fred and his team renovated two bathrooms in our home. Everyone was prompt, professional, and did a stellar job. Fred was happy to cater to my every request. He was honest and reliable. I would use Southern Transformations again in the future.

We wanted to create a space in our basement where our tween daughter could spend time with friends, space to practice her dancing, and for our youngest to play. We also wanted to add a full bath, sauna (for my husband), and kitchenware/bar area for entertaining. Fred came recommended by two other neighbors and had done an excellent job in their homes. We were thrilled with his work and appreciated his professionalism as well as his honesty. His crew was also professional and trustworthy. They were easy to work with and responsive to questions and any concerns we had. We are enjoying our basement and using it daily now. We definitely recommend Fred and his team.

I can’t recommend Fred and his team enough! He was so easy to work with from the very beginning. I got a couple different quotes from contractors and others either didn’t include materials, or had a weird range of pricing that was hard to understand, and some I just didn’t hear back from at all! Fred had a very clear and easy to understand format where I knew exactly what was being done and what the price was. He was always fast in responding and great at sending picture updates along the way. We are so happy with all the projects that Fred and his team turned into reality!

Southern Transformations did a beautiful job in our basement! Fred and his team were reliable, professional, accommodating, and nice to work with. They cared about our happiness with the finished product and went above and beyond to make it perfect for us! They added a full bathroom for us (walls and all), complete with the highest quality materials, paint and finishes. We have a beautifully tiled white subway shower with custom in lay shelf, marble countertop, attractive waterproof flooring, and a custom sink - all delivered in record time!! Fred was willing to work within our budget and make our new bathroom more beautiful than we could have hoped for. We are grateful. I have to begin by saying how fortunate I was to discover Fred Perdomo and Southern Transformations to work with on our project. I am an Architect by education and licensure who has been a senior executive in the development, design and construction departments of large international hospitality companies over the last 25 years. Our focus has been upper upscale and luxury hotels so the level of finishes and detailing of all aspects of the projects are very complex employing high end finishes. Our project met that profile. I have always set very high standards for myself and those that I engage to provide services to my companies. For a renovation company to face and succeed at the level of scrutiny that I apply to my projects is a tall order. However, Fred and his team met and quite frankly exceeded my demands and expectations. Performance is paramount, but I found the Southern Transformation's team to be highly capable, professional and personable in all respects, which made the experience that much more meaningful. They always strived to and did meet our needs. My only regret is that now that our project is complete, I won't have the opportunity see and talk with Fred on a regular basis. I highly recommend Southern Transformations to anyone who is in need of a great contractor.

Fred never inspected the flooring that was installed recently.(There are spaces between the tiles as shown in third photo.) The paint, shelving, and lighting is all good, at least. I would like him to inspect the work on the floor, which he never "supervised" nor inspected at the completion. His workers left a lot of trash outside the garage (see fourth photo) and a very heavy bag of sand in the storage room (shown in first two photos). The flooring samples are still here, as well. Additionally, a door, which was listed on the invoice, was never installed in the room. There were “rain” delays and other delays which Fred either informed me about late or not at all. I'm sure he is not generally paid "in full" before everything is completed and cleaned up. (I paid the invoice before the work was begun.) I wonder if the workers were paid before they started the job, did not dispose of their trash, and did not "clean up" after? Perhaps the $4,462 I paid up front was not enough to be all inclusive? Fred said he would be here on January 30th, then texted at 2:58 pm, “Sheila the day has gotten away from me. I'll make you my first stop tomorrow.” He never showed up the next day. I texted him the next day and he replied, “ Hi Sheila. I am at the VA hospital. I had an episode.. May be discharged this afternoon” I give up. (BTW, he asks to be paid via Zelle so that there is no recourse, other than going to small claims court, if the work is not satisfactory.) As of 2/17/2024, the bag of sand pictured has not been retrieved.

Fred and his crew are true professionals! From providing the best bid, to attentively paying attention to each and every detail, to finally delivering a stunning new kitchen. Both timely and clean, our kitchen project went smoothly and we plan to use Southern Transformations for future projects. Would highly recommend!

We have used Fred and his crew for 3 separate projects. First in 2018, Fred finished our basement in a new construction home we had just purchased. This job went well, and we were happy with the work done. In February of this year, we bought a fixer upper and hired Fred to remodel the upstairs (kitchen, bathroom, all flooring and paint throughout). We were very happy with the remodel, so we asked him to finish our basement. Until this point, we would have given 5 stars, but unfortunately, this basement project has been a disaster due to horrible communication and lack of professionalism. From the start of the basement project, Fred only communicated to us when he wanted money and only came to the house to pick up the money (never did he do any quality control so there were a few large errors from his crew that had to be fixed). We are currently on week 18 of a proposed 5 week job. Over the past two weeks Fred has ignored every call, email, and text (with the exception of an automatic "I will call you this evening" response to the rejected phone calls). Needless to say, he did not call back, and we have not spoken to him since September. We are left with a 42" by 42" hole in our main floor and no way to access the basement without going outside and around the house. We believe that the reason we are being ignored is due to a mistake on whomever measured the opening for our staircase. The staircase ordered was too large for the opening, and Fred said he would order a new one to fit. Apparently, this new staircase was never ordered, and we were lied to. We have three young children, so this is incredibly unsafe. We have been more than patient and understanding over the past month, but since we are being completely ghosted now, we want to warn other repeat customers that even when you have given Fred over $125K, there is no loyalty or respect. We are truly sad and disappointed that it has come to this.

Fred and his team are top notch. After helping us with a couple smaller projects (that we love), this is the first large-scale project I have done with him and he exceeded all expectations. Not only is the finished result beautiful, Fred went above and beyond with many of the touches and was always on top of things we hadn't even discussed. And when we unexpectedly ran into some permitting issues, Fred handled them all seamlessly and professionally.

Fred and his crews do a great job. We found them to be reasonably ppriced and flexible throughout our basement project. Fred stayed in constant communication to keep us updated on the next steps in our project and was extremely responsive to questions. I loved the the special touches like a hidden door disguised as bookshelves. We couldn’t be happier with how our basement turned out.

Fred and his crew with Southern Transformations have done several home renovation projects for us in the past 3 to 4 years. We did an entire basement remodel including removing walls, adding support beams, rerouting HVAC and electrical lines, flooring, lighting, and a small kitchen. We then later changed the flooring, tile, laundry, carpet, and staircase banisters on the upstairs level of our house. We also used them for painting the entire exterior of our home including our decks. Everyone on Fred's crew has been respectful of our home and has done excellent work. I thought it was also telling that the same crew that did work from our first remodel was here to do work on our newer projects, so clearly the staffing is consistent and highly qualified. Fred is a perfectionist and wants to make sure everything meets your expectations. His pricing is fair and clear. We've done some smaller projects in our home without a general contractor using other vendors and had inconsistent results, but with Fred and his crew you will have your project done on time and within budget. We highly recommend Southern Transformations!

I found Fred to be prompt and courteous and very professional. The work is superb and clean and cant believe he was able to delivery project ahead of schedule time!. It's the best title work I have seen in the 2 other projects I handled. I would highly recommend Fred to anyone who wants to be a little hands off and defer that to Fred and he follows through and delivers! Ang time I have bathroom or remodel or build projects I'm always going with Fred and his team now.!
