We contracted with Stephenson Contracting, a local Delafield-area remodeling company, to transform our walk-in closet and an uninviting primary bathroom. Although the bathroom had impressive high ceilings, corner windows, a freestanding bathtub, and heated floors, the layout felt cold and awkward, with a small shower and unusually shaped space. We were open to ideas, and this is where Carter truly stood out. After considering several floor plans, he developed an excellent design that made far better use of the space while preserving one of the three windows to provide beautiful natural light. The tile work was exceptional, especially the precision surrounding the heated floor and large linear shower drain. Every finish and detail was completed beautifully. We gave Carter and his team a challenging project, and they delivered a bathroom that is warm, functional, and visually stunning. We couldn’t be happier with the transformation and highly recommend Stephenson Contracting.

We recently completed a kitchen and basement remodel, and I truly couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out — it is absolutely gorgeous. We are absolutely thrilled with our finished basement! The Stephenson team’s professionalism and transparency shone through from our very first meeting, through the design phase, and all the way to the project’s completion. Norma and Elizabeth have an incredible eye for design and truly know how to bring a space together. JC was a stellar project manager, keeping us updated on progress, schedule, and even alerting us to noisy construction days. I was able to work from home comfortably throughout the entire renovation. Midway through the project, an unforeseen mold issue was discovered. Rob and JC quickly identified the root cause (our deck wasn’t flashed) and assembled a team to fix it promptly and at a fair price. Impressively, this didn’t even delay the timeline, and the project was completed on schedule. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Stephenson team for their professionalism, vision, fairness, and honesty. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Rob Stephenson and his team go above and beyond! They stand behind their work years after the project. We had an issue with our faucet and mentioned it to them only to see if they have any other customers with the same issue. They had not heard of it and Rob had a project manager come to our home and replace the faucet with a brand new one! We are overjoyed with Stephenson Construction. The team never balked when we asked for some unusual things and, in fact, they were eager to charge ahead on each detail we requested. Stephenson Construction was the last contractor I had come out to give me a quote on my basement project out of 5 contractors. Rob, the owner of Stephenson Construction, is the most professional and personable contractor that I've met. He did not try to up sell me or make me feel that I had to contract with him for his services. He made me feel very comfortable and gave me an initial analysis of what I could and couldn't do with the budget I was working with. He does however have a fee for drafting the plans and blueprint which is reasonable and understandable due to him taking time to draw the plans up. After that if you agree or don't agree to contract with him or decide to use a different contractor you will already have your blueprint in hand. After we signed the service contract and agreed to terms work started right away. Him and his crew finished out my project well within the finish date and I couldn't be happier. In fact even after the project was finished we had an issue with our HVAC system about 2 weeks later and called Rob. He was more than happy to have his HVAC tech come out and take a look. It needed work that was unrelated to the project and his tech was able to fix the issue within that day that Rob had him scheduled to come out. I've recommended Rob to another neighbor and the neighbor couldn't be more pleased with his work and professionalism also. All future projects undoubtedly will be contracted through Stephenson Construction.

Rob was a true professional and took a personal interest in our basement remodeling job and what it mean to our family dynamics that this be completed quickly and on time. He made great suggestions and cost effective ideas that we had not even thought about to make the space even better than we imagined it could be. He was in touch and updated us on the work schedule and who would be where and when. There were times when he was down doing the work himself in order to keep the schedule as close to on track. My family would recommend Rob and team to all and you would have a remodel that you would be proud of.
