Space Interior Design and Leslie Newman is one of my favorite design firms. I work only with professionals and she is certainly one. Well know in New Orleans and Chicago areas. Beautiful style and great knowledge of products. I have worked with Leslie for many years!

Leslie is a miracle worker when it comes to creating a space that is unique and specific to any client's needs. As a real estate broker, I have had the opportunity to work with Leslie on a variety of different projects including interior design, rehabbing, & in-home organization. Leslie's top tier network of service providers, project management skills, and attention to detail make for an impeccable combination in ensuring that every project is as seamless & care free for all of my clients. Her extensive knowledge of Architectural Design & Construction guidelines allow her to not only create a beautiful space, but to manage her teams to ensure that your dream home or investment property is up to the highest building standards. I also can't stress enough her valuable skills of communication throughout the process that make what can be a stressful process so ENJOYABLE for all involved. I have loved working with her and can't thank her enough for taking care of many of my clients!

Leslie has been phenomenal to work with! She came prepared for our first conversation and was full of ideas unique to my space. I knew instantly that she'd be great because I did not want a cookie cutter job. I'm not very well versed with design terms or creative ideas so I was a little concerned that the outcome may not be what I wanted. Leslie has an incredible way to guage people's taste and manage expectations so that the end product is better than one could have thought. We are still working on the project but I am super delighted by what has been done thus far. It can and will only get better from here :) She has great knowledge of products available in the Chicago land area and will go off the beaten path stores to find the right things for the space. Great energy and fun personality to work with. I have already extended the scope of the project and hopefully each corner of my condo will be touched by Leslie's magic hands when we are done :)

I've been working with Leslie for over 10 years. She is an exceptionally talented interior designer and a master of space planning. I have so much to say about Leslie and her fabulous work but, I will do my best to be brief. I’d give her 10 more stars if I could. MORE SPACE: leslie is amazing at finding space in your home. Every room that she worked on feels bigger, brighter and less cluttered. She easily gave me 10 times more storage than I had previously. Every space in my home is utilized to its fullest potential. We have some truly functional and amazingly beautiful build-ins that she designed. I don’t know how I lived without them. STYLE: Leslie’s eye for style is fantastic. I love her eye and she’s very hip. She’s even more talented in being able to draw out MY style. My home looks like ME. She took my incoherent ideas and thoughts and turned them into a truly beautiful and unique home. She took the time to understand me, my family, our routines, and life. She designed a gorgeous home that WORKS for us. HIGH/LOW: leslie knows where to spend money and where to save it. We have some spectacular pieces in perfect spots and highly functional but less expensive peices in other places. FRIEND: Leslie understands that construction on your HOME is a very disruptive and stressful experience. She was with me through every frustration like a best friend. She’s so empathetic and really puts her heart into her work. She’s the best. I’d hire her again for anything!

Over the past year, I have worked with Leslie on two different projects - my condominium in New Orleans and my home in New York. It has been an astounding journey of discovery, style, grace and constant amazement at Leslie's talent and experience. In each project, we started with existing elements - furniture, art, accessories, floor and wall treatments. Through the process of changing out some of the elements and relocating, modifying and reusing many of the existing elements, each of my homes evolved and has became more inviting and cohesive. Leslie sees potential and opportunity everywhere and recommended a combination of mostly subtle and a few radical changes that have resulted in my homes reflecting my personal style better than I could have imagined. One specific change that has brought me great pleasure is the rehanging of my art collection in my New York home, which Leslie coordinated over Facebook and without ever being in my house! She brought a fresh perspective to my art and recommended hanging works in different places and in different combinations. As a result, I am again enjoying pieces that had become stale in their old locations. My art now fully contributes to the ambiance of the rooms and both – the art and the rooms – have never looked better. I have worked with professional interior designers on my homes in the past but never was the process as much fun or the results as satisfying as these projects. Leslie is wonderfully creative and thoroughly professional. Her neutral interiors are calm and serene but she has a fabulous sense of color when it is used in a room. She works at the speed that you set for a project, but will counsel you to also spend time on certain things when they are critical for the success of the project. Also, both projects benefited greatly from Leslie’s knowledge of design resources and her strong working relationships with her contacts. All of the resources she recommended – upholsterers, art galleries, furniture and rug sources, electricians, plumbers and even furniture shippers - have been wonderful. As a client, I truly appreciated how much easier the process was for me when all of the parties enjoyed working with Leslie and would often go the "extra step" that added value for me.
