David renovated my kitchen and it turned out exactly how I envisioned it. He was honest, trustworthy and easy to work with. While we did go over budget, David was transparent about costs and gave me options to chose what would work best for my budget. I had some very specific ideas and he was able to make them come to life! I appreciated his responsiveness, his creativity and problem solving to be able to deliver my dream kitchen!

David and his crew did an amazing job, as always! This was our 2nd time working with him and there is a reason we keep coming back. From his advice and suggestions early on, to his ongoing recommendations and committment to getting everything perfect, the design and layout of our kitchen surpassed our expectations. The work was done on time, with painstaking detail and care, and the consideration of our living space and minimized disruption to our lives made the project a breeze. I am almost afraid to leave a review because David might become too busy for other projects. But here goes... David is a meticulous contractor/designed/craftsman with a keen eye for proportion and detail. He communicates well, which I know because I ask several questions a day. I am often intimidated by choice, and David breaks things down in a way that I can understand. I left most of the design elements up to him, as I trusted his taste. Speaking of trust, Davis is above reproach. Very trustworthy of your money and your time. I have worked with several contractors in my 1948 home, and I would trust only David with major work.

I love my beautiful primary suite. I started with a bathroom remodel and ended up with an entirely redone living space. David's attention to detail and professional expertise transformed my project into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Every time someone comes over, they comment on how luxurious, unique, lovely and functional my space is now. His work exceeded my expectations!!

David completed a master bathroom remodel for us. From the idea conception to the last day of finishing touches, he was always on hand to look at the work being done. He met all of our expectations and gave great feedback on material options and design. He's extremely easy to get ahold of, incredibly transparent, excellent with communicating about expectations and with expenses and finished on time. we would definitely use him again for future projects! We are extremely satisfied.

Mr. Abroms recently completed a deck, BBQ island, pergola, and landscaping project for us and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. From the very start of our project he helped with the design, provided detailed estimates and drawings, and allowed us to tour another house (with owner consent of course) to see one of his completed projects. I appreciate that he kept me constantly informed of progress via e-mail and text; he asked for our input throughout the project for decisions on materials, color selections, and deck design. His workmanship is incredible. Have a look at the pictures to see the neatness and attention to detail. The fit and finish everywhere is perfect. He provided detailed, itemized spend reports including the hard copy receipts of all materials purchases. We modified the project scope a few times throughout the project and Mr. Abroms was very accommodating and provided guidance on budget and design as the whole vision came together. I was very impressed with everyone involved--the landscapers, stone workers, plumbers, etc., and I appreciate that they sometimes worked on weekends to meet our time frame goals. I will consider David Abroms as my first choice for all my future contracting needs. Highly recommended.

David and his crew remodeled part of our new condo. He was right on time and under budget. We could not have been happier. Communication was very easy and David went out of his way to save us money where possible. We love the new space. It is gorgeous! We would highly recommend him.

Dave has been a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. We decided to pick out appliances and materials ourselves and Dave was instrumental in helping us avoid pitfalls and worked with us throughout the process. Dave's handiwork was masterful and we so happy about the finished results.

Dave was recommended to us after we found our first contractor estimate to be a little to steep for us. One kitchen and two bathrooms later we are the very happy owners of very beautiful modern updates to our house. Dave is very easy to work with and has great design ideas. He has a wide range of construction/remodeling skills. His cost estimates were accurate and any difficulties that were encountered he fairly addressed. Highly recommended.

After getting estimates from three contractors that I handpicked from Angie's List for my kitchen remodel, I thought I was on my way until the guy that I picked quit on me before he even started. I was about to give up on my kitchen remodel when I learned about Dave Abroms from a friend of a friend who had her condo remodeled by him. She gave such glowing reviews that I had to meet him, and now that he's remodeled my kitchen, I can see why she spoke so highly of him. I met Dave at my place, and he provided with a detailed estimate of what exactly would be done. His estimate was very thorough, and his pricing was very reasonable, less than all three of the estimates that I'd gotten before. After we signed a contract, Dave gave me a planned start date that was only a couple weeks later, and not several months later, which was the problem with other contractors. The kitchen remodel included demolition, refinishing the hardwood floor throughout my place, installing hardwood where there previously was cabinets and a counter in the kitchen that was taken out and not replaced, installing drywall and spackle/sanding ceiling and walls, installing cabinets and ceiling lights, plumbing for sink, stove gas line that I moved and refrigerator water line that I moved, fabricating and installing granite countertop, laying down glass tile backsplash. Dave estimated that the entire project would take 4-5 weeks, and it ended up taking about 6 weeks, which was entirely reasonable given the coordination of incoming materials and availability of him and other workers. That said, he does not use any assistants or crew and does almost all the work himself. The only times that he used other people were for the hardwood floor refinishing, fabricating the granite, and all plumbing. I can't state enough how significant this point was, as noted below. Dave is very knowledgeable about everything, and he has to be since he basically does all the work, which was top notch quality. I could tell that he wasn't sloppy and took his time to do a great job, even when he could've just as easily cut corners to save time. For example, I had ordered two kitchen sinks that were virtually identical except that one was about an inch narrower than the other, but the wider one was several hundred dollars cheaper (plus it was that much bigger obviously). The wider one didn't fit initially, but Dave took half an afternoon, cutting out parts of the cabinet and other materials that you wouldn't see anyways under the sink so that it would fit. He could've just as easily saved himself several hours of work and told me that we had no choice but to go with the narrower sink. I'm very picky, and what really impressed me was that Dave really takes pride in his work. If I saw something that I wanted re-done or tweaked when he'd finish a step in the process, we would discuss my concerns, and after he'd give me his perspective (which was backed with a lot more experience than my opinion), either I would follow his advice since I could see it made more sense or he would do what I asked in the first place without giving me a hard time about it. If he had a bunch of people doing the work for him, there is no way this process could've worked as well as it did, and I highly doubt my kitchen would look as awesome as it does. Also, while I designed everything myself, picked out all materials and found what I thought were the best vendor/prices, Dave saved me several hundred dollars using his vendor to buy the exact same glass tile that I was going to buy from a different vendor. Another example where Dave went out of his way to make my kitchen remodel the best experience possible. I wouldn't hesitate to use Dave again for future projects, and I've already recommended him to a couple friends who are considering remodeling projects.

We have hired David Abroms to design and complete three different home improvement projects since 2007 including two bathrooms and a patio lattice/trellis structure. Mr Abroms is skilled in a variety of construction/remodel techniques and crafts and excels in design, space utilization and choice of materials and colors. He stripped both bathrooms to floorboards and studs and rebuilt them to completion. Tile work is a particular specialty but he also works extremely well with wood, flooring and insulation materials. We found Mr. Abroms to be honest, his pre-project estimates for labor and materials costs were fair and he passed on any savings on the cost of materials to us. After a project's completion, Mr. Abroms is particularly good at assuming personal responsibility for needed follow-up service, alterations, corrections or remedies. Obviously we were very satisfied with Mr. Abrom's work since we employed his services on three different occasions.

David is an outstanding professional. Very detail oriented, highly skilled, a pleasure to be around and very reasonably priced. We did a master bedroom/bathroom remodel. The project seemed to grow and get more complicated at it went on, but nothing phased David. He did an outstanding job. On time, on budget and with a smile! Highly recommended.
