We are at the tail end of a slew of projects that Bob and his crew have worked on and are so very happy with all of them. First, Bob, Steve, Brian and Ben are so friendly and easy to work with. It was a pleasure to have them around. Communication and openness to personal preferences is very important to me. Bob is super easy to talk with about ideas and was very willing to use fixtures and other materials that I picked out. The design of the various projects was a collaborative effort and I love the outcome. Additionally, the team was professional without being stuffy and inflexible. Here are some photos of a janky old garage space that was turned into an office/weaving space with bathroom. This project included framing, electrical and drywall, a window and sliding glass door installation, marmoleum and maple flooring, a sani-flush toilet, lots of light fixtures, cedar siding and a deck with wonderful pergola.

Bob and his team are professional and truly pay attention to details. When they hit roadblocks or problems, they get creative to solve things correctly. They don't take shortcuts and they ensure that the finished product is of high quality. They not only listen to feedback or requests, they actually seek it out (a rarity in construction these days) to ensure that they are building the product the customer actually wants. They are not a big crew so work might take a bit longer than expected, but the product you end up with is well worth the wait. I'd definitely use them again.

We acquired a 1960s home that had no upgrades since the time of the original construction. Brenton Builders, featuring Bob Brenton and his team, transformed the tired home into a spectacular state-of-the-art modern open living concept. Our project included working from engineered plans to remove load-bearing walls, installing a sky-light and solar tubes, running all new electrical lines, lighting design, plumbing, custom-style plastering, framing, custom-designed cabinet installation, moving doors, and installing hardwood flooring. During the course of the project, we benefited from Bob’s referral network of community-based vendors (roofing, countertops, backsplash), all of which provided excellent service and craftsmanship. We particularly enjoyed how well Bob and the team clearly communicated about their next steps. They always confirmed our desires and intent before executing on large decisions. Their experience and their creative artistic eye is a big value. The team always had the same people working on the project, and they all worked hard. From the day we met Bob, we knew we were in good hands. As the project unfolded, the trust level increased as we were able to rely on his integrity. Bob worked well with the planning department. The team always had fun while on the project, and it is clear they work well together and respect each other’s specific talents.

Bob has completed numerous projects for us over the past few years - some very big and some small. He has helped us oversee a major renovations to many areas of the house and gardens. He not only does good quality work but he is also creative and artistic and has been a big asset in working on an older house like ours. That said, older homes can also present with surprises, and we always felt well informed about problems and/or opportunities. We trust that he always has our best interests at heart and appreciate his expertise and recommendations. In addition to doing lots of work himself he has a great network of specialized contractors and also coordinated some other major projects for us like a new roof and a new HVAC system. Bottom Line - We highly recommend him for his skill, knowledge, good positive attitude, excellent communication skills and genuine concern / respect for his customers.

Just wrapped up a 5 month remodel with this firm. From beginning to end, Bob has been a pleasure to work with and has produced top-notch work throughout. He has an excellent design eye and is skilled at incorporating non-professional design ideas (namely mine) into useful and cost-aware solutions. His weekly invoicing is transparent and detailed and stayed true to his broad estimates. Small things like keeping a very clean work-site and answering texts promptly helped make for a seamless and low-impact remodel for my household. I cannot recommend this firm strongly enough - they are worth waiting for!

I will use Bob and his crew for any building project, both big and small, that we plan to do in the future. Bob and his crew were so easy and fun to work with. They were respectful, professional, clean and good problem solvers. The quality of the work was exceptional. We remodeled our kitchen which turned out to be a bigger job than we imagined. Seems like this is common in building projects. We ran into structural problems in the house early on and Bob came up with creative and sound ways to fix them. He is very connected in the community. When his crew took out the walls in the old kitchen, we found leaks from the roof. Within 1 week Bob had the roofing company he always works with at our house and fixing the roof. This was in the middle of a rainy winter and during a time that was hard to find roofers. This saved us both money and time. He started the project on time which was important to us. The project finished close to the deadline. The delay was due to the addition of the roof project and other internal problems we found.

Brenton builders provided excellent services. I lost my home due to the Tubbs Fire. I had a time frame and financial constraints. Brenton builders completed my home on time and on budget. Each member of the crew were experienced craftsmen. I was treated with kindness and respect. My home was was built ADA compliant. I have home now that I can maneuver with ease thanks to Brenton builders. I would rate them as 100% awesome.

We have worked with Bob and his crew on virtually every project we've done at our house, over the last 6 years. The projects have ranged from small ones like replacing windows with sliding door, to our most recent complete kitchen renovation. I have always been very pleased with the quality of his work and all of the people who work with him are really good guys and very trustworthy. They virtually became family during the kitchen renovation, we spent so much time together. (Our dogs love the whole crew.) He provided a detailed estimate before the job began and it was very close to where we ended up, factoring in the unexpected tasks that came up. He also was very good about staying on the agreed-upon timetable. Bob was also great at working with me to come up with some creative solutions when we hit a snag for one reason or another. I have, and do, highly recommend this company.

We hired Bob and his crew to remodel our kitchen, and we couldn't be happier with the job. From start to finish, they whole experience was smooth, professional, and well done. Bob helped us with pre-ordering our cabinets and choosing our counter tops.He was very easy to work with and helped us stay within our budget. Bob and his crew came in and removed our old kitchen and carefully installed my beautiful new one. They was tidy, pleasant, and efficient. The job was done in the time expected, and everything was meticulously done. We are thrilled with the new look. Our house is old and a bit funky, and Bob and his guys were able to work with us to get the job done. We also hired them to do some structural work underneath the house and to replace a very large window in our bedroom. Again, everything was done quickly and meticulously. Everyone was very pleasant to work with, and we feel happy with all of the work. We would definitely hire them again for any work we need done.

I am so beyond happy with the work that Bob and his team did on our property, that I highly recommend him. Our project was pretty large spanning months and involving framing new walls, installing completely new bathrooms with showers, tile, new heating, air conditioning, hardwood floors, hot water heaters, digging up old pipes to increase water pressure, installing a new water filtration system for the whole property, and many other things. Bob's naturally gifted at coordinating all the moving pieces - he is thoroughly organized and detail oriented. He never missed a single thing. Meanwhile, I had friends doing a large job at their house and running into all kinds of issues that their contractor should have been on top of. He treated our house like it was his house -he recommended solutions to deal with issues we inherited with the house when we bought it. He coordinated all the moving pieces -when the plumber needed to do his part, the tile person, and even worked with our landscaper and pool service company to help with things that needed to be done with irrigation and pool heat. From the very beginning when I first called him about the job and showed him the architect's plans, he jumped in and spent a lot of time thoroughly reviewing the plans and even suggesting some tweaks that made more sense and working with the architect to update the plans. When he takes on a project, he "owns" it, meaning he is going to see it through to completion and leave no stone un-turned. That is what you need in a contractor - you need to know that someone is thinking about your project and making sure it goes smoothly and flawlessly. I remember Bob saying that Brenton Builders is a family-type company and I must admit I feel lucky to be part of the family now. After our big project, we have used Bob on small projects too and he takes those on with the same attention to detail and quality. You can't go wrong in hiring Brenton Builders for your project. But you could go wrong choosing someone else because we have all heard those stories of projects gone bad, over budget, longer than anticipated, etc. You won't have that with Brenton Builders

We received an estimate, a contract, and detailed weekly invoices when we chose Bob Brenton to remodel two bathrooms and make various other repairs to prepare our home for sale. More than that, Bob was flexible and positive, receptive to our ideas, he made important design suggestions, and he kept our project on time and under budget. It was a daily pleasure to have Bob, Brandon, and all his subcontractors in our home. Having worked with several other contractors, we would absolutely want to work with Bob in the future.
